To be clear (maybe I was but just to be certain) - my comments relate specifically to objectives for a an FO style card where to earn it you have to own a specific card that can only be realistically acquired through the auction house.
Just checking the store now, I have to say a big kudos to BA for re-adding emerald packs for old categories. Some updated calcs below.
First grain of salt of the assumptions but we need these values for the calcs to work. From what i’ve seen they are in the ball park:-
50 emerald cards for season 2024
40 gold cards for Ice Cold given not every player features in this category
2024 Heeney
Gold pack of 4 = (5% x 2%) x4 = 0.4% - this used to be the only option outside the Auction House.
Emerald pack of 5 = (20% x 2%) x5 = 2% - so you now have five times the chance
Ice Cold Max Gawn:
Gold pack of 4 = (15% x 2.5%) x4 = 1.5%
Emerald pack of 4 = (73.54% x 2.5%) x4 = 7.35% (!)

I’m hoping some people are picking up the Sapphire Rowell TOTW25 card in the reward packs from other objectives, and they’re then selling and recycling them through the Auction House.
