Few good ideas there mate !

Just adding to this, I’ve noticed in Pro Team that the full lineup presentation before the match might actually be pushing a few players away. The face card lineup looks awesome, but in a small player base it kind of ends up feeling like a pre game flex. I’m getting a fair few opponents quitting right at that screen, probably thinking they don’t have a chance.

It works in FC for example because they’ve got millions of players, but in AFL where the gap between squads can be bigger, that first impression seems to matter more.

I reckon something simpler in the pre-game menu could help, even like you said have just an overall team rating in the corner, or a more generic lineup overlay. The face cards still look great for in game set shots, just maybe dial it back before the opening bounce so people don’t bail instantly.

Yeah that’s fair, but I kinda like the display.
If players could tell that they’ll get more bonus points against a super team like that even if they lose (i.e the Team-Rating Bonus above)… hopefully they’d play the game anyway.

And maybe then, as well, you would choose lower-rated teams to try and get your boost as well.

Anyway, seems like there’s a few things they could play with to encourage the overall base.

Throw in a confidence mechanic while we are at it.

additionally team confidence should dictate tactics.

Low confidence = conservative and less attacking

High confidence = more attacking and more willing to take on the game

Therefore you should get ai teams changing tactics depending how the game is going for them. Same as for the player.

This might even solve the AI kicking for goal issues some people are mentioning, as even on highway difficulties if a player has moderate to low confidence that should make their goal kicking less accurate.

Good to see that pro team is unplayable for me. I can’t adjust any lineups as so no players appear for me in any of the player tabs. And my game keeps crashing. See ya AFL26. The glitches have officially become too much for me

Anyone’s AI ever miss goals on the run? All AI players never miss on the run for me.

Adding to this post i’ve put my time into Creating all new 2026 list with trades\delistings and new draftees (Thanks to user Ewaan)

I’ve got 95% of new jumper changes and I’ve edited all the starting line ups to as close as i could get it.

Head to Academy-Community-Search-Under user name starts with write the word ( dont ) select clubs and it should come up with all 18 to download.

It actually worked out pretty well, I haven’t had a good look over the ratings of the draftees they average between 75-81 which seems about right but this will be there abouts to tie us all over till the real ones come out :ok_hand:

hey everyone I’ve just started playing the last few days but haven’t been able to load into 1 premiership challenge I’m glad I found you guys on here I just wanted to ask if maybe someone wanted to maybe try get into a game?

I’ve gotten into a few of them recently without issue. What happens when you try? Does it just search and never find someone? Or do they quit before starting the game? Or something else?

Back again blowing PTC trying to pull a specific card.

Is anyone willing to put their emerald Norm Smith Wil Ashcroft card on the auction house for four hours? Happy to trade it back, just can’t seem to get hold of him.

EDIT - false alarm, I pulled it. Tip for anyone in a grinding like me - got him from Best In Comp emerald pack. Although Sapphire packs offer a 2% higher chance of pulling an emerald, plus leaves you with better players, there is one less card in the pack. Not sure of the maths (too much braining today) but it’s something like an extra 20% (i.e. one extra card) vs a 2% increase in a smaller deck turning up emerald. Absolute no brainer.

EDIT 2:- Gargh I can’t get ā€˜explosive midfielder’ to pop. Wary that you can miss out on rewards that expire and disappear. Also getting the ā€˜go get a coffee’ style loading times that have been reported on here - happening more often than not. Missed out on 98 Fyfe - not exactly an objective that can be grinded over a few hours. Super close on 97 Ashcroft.

EDIT 3:- Not happy Jan. Explosive never popped, which meant I didn’t get 93 Wil which meant I couldn’t get 97 Wil + the sapphire decorated you earnt playing with the 93 reward. Weaving the objectives together is cool and all, but it comes down like a house of sticks if the rewards don’t process. Raising a ticket. TMI? Why yes but such is the price of witnessing a thrilling drama.

Hey everyone. Lurked a bit on here, but made an account now because I had to talk about a couple of things in relation to gameplay.

  1. I think the AI being able to bomb from 50+ super quickly and ALWAYS kick the goal is just ridiculous. They never miss. Ever. Even on easy.

  2. This has happened a few times now, buy having the ball in the D50 and being tackled over the goal line, only to be pinged for delibrate rushed behind. That makes no sense. Also one time I marked the ball on the goal line, and the animation had my player take a step back and got pinged again for delibrate rushed behind. Definitely needs to be fixed.

  3. Tackling, while better, still has issues. During ball ups, if the opp gets the ball in their 50, I HAVE to go for a smother, since the animation for them grabbing the ball and IMMEDIATELY kicking for goal (and always making it) is stupidly fast. The tackling animation is either too slow or they clip through.

    I will say though, nothing feels better than winning a centre bounce, my rover read the tap, break through the line, and grab and goal on the run from 50.

Anyone here have the 57 Hitouts in a match with a Brisbane players objective glitched? I just got 60 Hitouts with Emerald Big O and it didn’t count. Would I maybe need to get exactly 57? Annoying cause it’s the only objective I need to unlock the card.

My 2c - the objectives are playing up again. They got really good and now they’ve regressed.

Just have to keep playing long games on easy &/or with a high rated ruckman and hope that it pops.

Considering objective are half the reason you play PT, and PT is clearly an active priority for BA (some would suggest it is the only priority), you just wonder why this one has been in the too hard basket since the launch of the game mode.

Nacon use Google Cloud, a service which cops a fair bit of criticism in the gaming community for it’s laggy performance. I wonder if there’s a connection.

I haven’t noticed any being buggy, and that 57 hitouts one worked for me fine.
I did find however sometimes it took an extra 30 seconds or a minute to show up in the menus… so I would back out of Pro Team, come back in, and see Objectives had now popped.

I’m 4th on the ProTeam Premiership Challenge ladder. Can barely find anyone online, which makes it a bit hard when you’re trying to grind up the ladder. Found one player all day, some Guiseppewog bloke, and he quit when I was up 50-20.

Nothing new mate I was up top for ages and the same blokes quit at main screen against me

  • Anmil or something ( this one is the worst) he got on the mic the other day saying he doesn’t have to play me if he doesn’t want to :joy:
  • Big_dogg (we had good game early on but just quits now)
