Paying $100 for something that’s broken? Release something that isn’t broken. It’s not hard or shouldn’t be hard
You weren’t forced to buy it. Again you’re allowed to be frustrated that’s fine, just how some people have gone about it is a little distasteful
I’ll have to buy a ps5 pro to see if ProTeam will work for me, definitely think the base ps5 can’t handle it .
And atleast give us some guidance in the upcoming days or let alone on the actual day of what’s going on. I understand that eta doesn’t mean that it’s definitely coming out at that time but when it’s 8 pm at the bare minimum u could say sorry for the wait or give us an update instead of having to turn our consoles on and check every hour
It’s not about that though (pushing timeframes forward). Its about more reasonable timing of communication.
Ross has had a go at someone on twitter, and this is the only communication xbox users have received all day about the day 1 patch. I’m a PS user, but I think all that xbox users ask for is a professional communication update today, and during buisiness hours, such as ‘we still expect the patch to come tonight’ or “unfortuantely there is a chance the patch might not come through for another day. We appreciate your patience and sorry for the wait” Ross spending the time communicating this instead of spending the time to have a go at one guy on twitter. Xbox users are owed that much.
I make the purchase drawing the obvious conclusion that if the product was for sale, it would at least at the bare minimum be functional. There’s no promise that it has to be good, but there’s a fair expectation that it will work, and it doesn’t. I understand some people may be taking things too far, but I think it’s a reasonable response given that they’re being sold an unfinished, broken videogame.
I brought the game on Xbox so I totally understand where you guys are coming from. I’m itching to play it as well. Unfortunately no matter what we do the balls in Microsofts court at this stage not Big Ants. Let’s just hope it’s soon
Nah that’s where you’re wrong mate. It was launched on the Xbox store without any pre-warning that the game is an alpha build, barely playable and missing half of the features that were showcased in previews.
Xbox users got shafted with a faulty product and have every right to be frustrated with the lack of transparency.
I think one of the biggest issues here, is that this happened with the previous release as well. They’ve literally had years to figure out how to not butcher it this time, yet they’ve managed to do it again. The lack of communication and urgency in the effort to fix the issues builds an incredibly poor relationship between consumer and company. In order to create a good dynamic and relationship with consumer is by doing the little things, like being transparent about expectations and communicate with your player base, not ignore and belittle their frustrations.
We’re not the enemies for expecting more when buying a product that doesn’t work, then furthermore to see no effort made to swiftly amend the issue.
A ‘faulty product’ that is on the Xbox store so must’ve passed submission then
Again, I’m not having a go at anyone for being frustrated I am too. It’s just people piling into Big Ant and I have seen some messages being pretty spiteful all for what? Just because we don’t have a patch yet, it’s coming. Technically Big Ant did come out and say its an ETA of Monday, should they come out and update people? Yes probably, but that’s not my point.
Anyway I’m going to drop this whole argument because us doing this is getting the situation nowhere didn’t mean to offend anyone we’re all on the same side at the end of the day
That’s part of the problem. When did it break? Why don’t we know, and why don’t we know when the fix is coming. Zero communication
On what planet can you possibly try to defend that the game is in a functional state on Xbox?
I get the frustration 100%, you know when it’s coming - as soon as the patch has passed submission. They ain’t holding it back to annoy Xbox users. That would be as absurd as using the term scam, talk about hyperbole.
@raycehawk Where have I done that? He stated it was a faulty product on the Xbox store. My point was that it couldn’t have been too bad if it was on there in the first place.
Mate, you’ve clearly not had to experience it.
I started 2 seperate career modes and tried playing a match in each, tried a match in season mode, tried a match in player career. The game crashed at half time or before in ALL of them. I’d define that as faulty every day of the week.
AFL 23 “passed” submission and was far more broken than 26.
Any chance we r getting the ANZAC and Indigenous Guernseys in game once Sir Doug Nicholls round kicks off??
Ah yes, another one going back trying to have a 2 year old gotcha moment!
Has anyone had problems with custom matches crashing off the bounce? Mine happens every game
No “gotcha” moment here. Just trying to prove that broken products get put up on the PS5, Xbox and Steam stores all the time
