Something needs to be done about the marking, I am just simply unable to get the where I need to get to to mark the ball and my defender just teleports got eh ball every time, no matter where I direct my player he won’t move to it properly and is always out of position, this needs to be fix it’s making it unplayable for me as I cannot get the ball. ALSO the camera needs and i mean NEEDS to be fixed, none of them are good, I can either only see my player and never the rest of the field or where the ball is or I cannot see my player, the camera needs to be dynamic for career mode and be able to be moved by the player so they can look around and see where stuff is, the camera being locked just makes it so difficult to get positions and understand where to go, and that just makes marking even worse
Update on pro team for Xbox not sure if anyone’s noticed but big ant has released it it’s actually Microsoft’s end which is annoying. But yeah!
I’ve played for about 30 hours now and wanted to provide some feedback on the game, not trying to be rude but trying to provide genuine constructive criticsm about this game. Afl 26 is definitely a step up from the last game, but boy do I have to say it’s really disappointing. Still the same glitches in career, after 1 season all the new players just go bald and all the new rucks are 180cm. The amount of albino bald short rucks running around is just laughable. The AI will constantly make silly decisions, at least 5 times per game from a kick in, they will kick it directly to a forward. Umpires pay marks that are about 7 metres and it’s infuriating. Replays are really barebone, there’s no replay of the build up play, it’s just the moment before the goal. The All Australian team is broken, when revealed at seaosns end there isn’t even enough players, it comes up as 5 defenders, forwards and mids, with no bench. It’s almost amatuerish. Marking has improved but in player career it’s ridiculously fixed on what contests you can participate in. Your player just magically stops sprinting when running on the lead so the defender can run ahead and mark the ball. Even if you are holding sprint, your player will just stop (even with enough stamina) feels cheap and completely pre determined. There is some fun gameplay here and can feel really exciting at times, but again it is ruined by technical issues and glitches. I paid $100 for a sports game, not a beta where I need to submit a ticket to fix things that shouldn’t have been in release.
Is anybody able to verify the games current state on PS4 - i’m unsure whether I should refund my Xbox purchase and go for PS4 as i’m worried the last gen version is going to come with its issues..

Depends if you’re on next gen xbox or not. If you’re still on Xbox One consoles it’d definitely be worth switching, on the other hand if you’re on the Series X probably worth waiting

I’m on series S. Graphics and the like mean nothing to me, I just want to be part of the broader community who are able to play and enjoy the game with prompt updates and functional modes.
I don’t mind having to dust off the PS4 for this as I had to do that with AFL 23 last time anyways

I would personally wait till it gets patched further. I’ve seen gameplay on ps4 and it’s a bit glitchy. Personally I’d tell people if they want it on ps5 to also wait for further patches.

I can confirm on the XBOX ONE S a update (8.72GB) has been released fingers gross it fixes the crashes
