Tackling the AI in defence is almost impossible
Squeezed in a game before watching the real thing Had a pretty good match.
Tackles held up and didnāt hold sprint and used r1 effectively.
Again icon switching saves the day when defending (14 intercept marksā¦..not bad)
Handballing really kills the running game and had to resort to clearance handballs to maintain the momentum, not being to aim manually in front of the player to keep them running is disappointing . The lack of precision and randomness for clearance handball is not great
Kicking goals on the run, that system could do with some workā¦ā¦..a lot of workā¦ā¦
Had two goals in the game where I just used manual kicking to kick at goal.
Honestly wouldnāt mind having manual kick but with the goal post indicator nearby to aim when in range
Now the wings are starting in the centre square for a centre bounceā¦
I found positioning yourself to be the best tactic especially if your down or itās a close match to get those much needed Jeremy McGovern intercept marks across the field. I dominate in intercept marks as a tall midfielder.
Yep just pick a player and drop them into space. Most times youāll find yourself being able to cut off kicks. T.stewart just swallowing them up
Believe this has to do with marking while sprinting Iāve had this happen in front of goal but allowed me to take a set shot
I hope one day there will be an option for āNo assistā and it being fully manual.
I wonder how it will affect the gameplay.
If this means the controlled player isnāt dragged into a marking contest - thus allowing more freedom of movement that might be interesting.
Oh yeah and having the freedom to jump for a mark whenever would be nice too. Yes I know there is a circle that your player has to be within which turns green and thatās when you press triangle. But like what if I wanna position my player a bit forward of the circle and press triangle a bit earlier?. I also find that sometimes it doesnāt even go green and no matter how many times I press triangle my player doesnāt jump for the ball..feels like the game wants to be as polished as possible but some of the systems they have are half baked and doing the oppositeā¦ā¦ā¦making it simpler (more manual control) give it back to the players and yes it might look ugly (until people master it) but also I feel will make the game better. A good example is how nfl 25 does in terms of their catching mechanics they have a marker on the ground also, but players can strafe and choose to jump whenever to intercept the ball.
I donāt think the game would even allow an unrealistic attempt at a specky, seeing the system aims at being so polished and you can even do it only when all things click into placeā¦ā¦..
Does anyone know what a full green icon circle under your player means? Happens every so often, usually with a kick receiver. I find when I get full green I lose all control of my receiver and the mark indicator doesnāt even register. New to the game/series. Cheers
Enjoying the game so far, but since last night Iāve had the game crash multiple times when starting a proteam mode. Anyone else having this happen?
Edit to say its happening every time i go to play. I get to the coin toss, players got into the huddle, tgen the game crashes to the dashboardā¦
I think this circle is something that just hangs around occasionally from a previous pass.
So if you have the ball and aim towards a teammate, you see the circle underneath them which shows a colour, and that colour matches the power of the kick needed to get to them (i.e the power on your kick meter bar).
When you have a mark or free kick, you can also hold R1 while pointing at them, and see that circle. (I think this is mentioned in the guide somewhere⦠itās just a feature or the game that I donāt use).
Anyway, once you kick, that circle is supposed to go away, but it seems like sometimes it hangs around for the next ball up, but shouldnāt be there.
My players canāt smother or tackle on the last line of defence, as soon as the ball hit the deck and they gather possession, I am no chance of stopping them

There will be 4 teams/leagues from each state. Most players will be current, but there will be a few retired players. (Tony Lockett, Garry Lyon, Jimmy Bartel)

Will need logos of the league from @Chuckinho like he did in AFL 23. Even if @NewAgeSporting helps him.
Really focus on not holding holding sprint, instead use r1 -,which is like lock onto player/ focus on the ball. And if try to smoother tap r1 earlier than you think
I donāt hold sprite anymore when out of possession as it almost voids what ever you press. Cheers Iāll give that a go, still seems over complicated though.

Was doing good on ladder leaders until the game crashed. Not very happy, all the progress was lost.

If anyone helps you, consider yourself very lucky. I donāt imagine that the guernseys or logos have changed much since I made all those a couple of years back. (maybe the odd sponsor).
I look forward to seeing you make complete rosters for those 4 leagues. Iāve done it before, it was torture.
From the sound of things, there is a bug with logos for now which would need fixing.
I donāt currently own the PC version (I have the PS5 version) so I wonāt be uploading anything for the next wee while. (Iād only be buying it to share my logos with others) Iām holding off at least until the bugs are fixed. Getting an standalone editor like Cricket 22 would be ideal ofcourse, but I leave those types of things in the hands of @JNT_BA and his band of merry folk.
