Iām struggling so hard to pick this game up.
Think Iām going to watch the tips video @SaintSkeeta posted (thanks for that)
Then force myself to complete every tutorial again and only play against AI for a while.
Other than struggling with contested marks and in congestion, my biggest issue is just going for a kick and it snapping it straight out of bounds, mainly from kick outs. I think holding the kick meter for too long is the issue but not sure. Nobody else i play against seems to do this .

Not a bad idea to go back to ai play and really learn all the controls. Thereās a lot more depth to them than what most people give it credit for.
As for the kick out, it almost sounds like youāre holding the clearance kick modifier, exactly what you describe happens if you do that. Try to make sure youāre using X and no other kick modifiers other than manual with hud to start with and then go from there.
This game actually works best for the most part with single well timed pushes of the buttons rather than holding them down and mashing them, it took some time for me to adjust to that alone when I started playing AFL 23.

Yeah I must not realise Iām holding something down.

Once you get used to how the controls work the game is really good, I was frustrated to begin with and was close to putting it away, glad I didnāt.

Definitely check out the new Free Roam tutorial. No opponents, so you can just pass the ball around and freely practice kicking/handballing etc.
and while in there, change some settings up, like the camera angle, the player switching option, and the kick targeting (highly recommend Manual - with HUD).
See what works best for you with no pressure.

Iām so frustrated.
YESTERDAY they literally added the Brownlow counts after each individual game, now they have just dissapeared. I had even starting creating my own Brownlow Count on Excel and was hvaing so much fun. These small things that we like definentely need to be re-added.

We all need to remember the game has only been out a couple of weeks, we canāt be experts in that short space of time - thereās no fun in that

Itās still there for Player Career or Management Modes.
Go to your Settings in those modes, and switch it over.
Yeah, but I was like mid-season doing one in Season Mode, hopefully the Show Votes is added to Season Mode as well!
