Anything about cricket 24???
There’s definitely some disconnect between Nacon and Big Ant. It’s 2023 and developers regularly communicate via discord, forums, social media……but it almost seems like Nacon has silenced Big Ant from speaking about their own games.
They want to be seen as the next big leader of sports games, yet they have a game due in 2 weeks that has ZERO information or footage and are telling fans “we have nothing to show”. How does this make sense? Something is off.

I find that hard to believe that they have nothing to show. That’s completely insane because it’s been in development for years and meant to be releasing in 2 weeks!!

Except if they work hard on afl and cricket and not rugby …and what i read about afl don’t make me confident for having a game really finish

I agree, on this end of year, BigAnt have many games to release.
I think they are working on all of them in the same time. And I think with sometimes same teams 
maybe why all sport games are not good.
So for me, rugby 23 is like tiebreak. The games are not finished and they will release them not finish and will make a lot of update like tennis World Tour, AO tennis or recently AFL23 with update everyday 
.
It’s a shame to work like that. And I don’t speak about their communication 
.

I think what you guys need to understand is that Nacon owns Big Ant. Big Ant is the studio ( sort of the manufacture unit ) and Nacon is the publisher which promotes and sell the game. Big Ant doesnr’t share info as this is not their role.
You got the same with EA which publish games that DICE do etc…

Yeah, we get that. But then why create these new forums if you aren’t going to engage? Might as well stick with the similarly dormant social media channels.

This is what happens when you try to release 4 sport games in the same year… from the beginning it is known it was going to be a mess. The worst part of this is that if they comitted to release them 2023 games will be released at its 20% like AFL.

Im kind of hoping now that it is delayed, with this little information I can’t imagine the game to be through multiple stages of testing etc, a release in December would be great would give them a chance to update the stats of teams and skills based on performances in the world cup and also more time to further the quality of the game. Last thing we want is the problems AFL got with their release

That’s understand but devs can still talk….I could probably give you a dozen examples of dev teams that share updates on their games- not the pubs themselves. It’s like this, a Publisher will hype, market and promote upcoming releases, but they don’t always have an ear to the ground. Whereas as the dev team are the ones actually making the games. They will know far more about the game and the overall development process.
It’s already been stated on here that Big Ant and the Devs that are on this forum will be able to respond a lot more once the game is out. That is really when this forum will shine and we will be able to give feedback with lots of response from the team. Unfortunately until then they are handcuffed by Nacon, as already mentioned on this thread Nacon are the ones who should be communicating with us, promoting the game and giving us information up until release.

I think all is aware of that. The issue is that until release we won’t have ANY info on most of these titles, as Nacon doesn’t seem to do much prior to release. I’m certainly aware that Nacon has handcuffed Big Ant…but that leads to the second issue (or frustration), why Big Ant can’t communicate during development with small updates. It would go a long way, and would stay with Big Ant’s motto of “for the community, by the community”. Either way, seems like a moot point for now.

The strange thing is, with R20 getting released, we had lots of images, videos and Nacon released a prepurchase demo with the WC mode.
Just a print screen of a ball drawn or a guy working behind his computer would have be something.

There is only one logical reason why nothing has been shown yet and that is that there is nothing to show or what they have is not good enough to show off. I hate to say it but I get the impression that this game is miles away from being ready. There is no sense in there being stuff to show and both companies saying you know what, let’s not show anything and make sales as low as possible Perhaps the rush to get AFL out, all of the problems with that needing fixing, then rushing to get cricket 24 ready which is now delayed has just back tracked everything massively. I tend to agree with a point already made that perhaps having 4 sports game in one year, all supposedly releasing within several months of each other was a bit more work than expected.

And i get you however one way to annoy your customers is the lack of communication with such little time until a potential release is not good enough i get nacoon have rules etc but not to have something just tell us or not if its delayed its not acceptable what they have done

Didnt thr same thing happen in 2019 were eko would have launched a rugby game along side the world cup and we got delayed and rugby 22 two years later
Whoever stays in Melb should go to big ant studios in Southbank and get us some answers

We should get some news this week. But I think we need to be prepared for a delay. Cant see it releasing in time for RWC.

That is true but even if you have nothing to show, you should still have something to talk about. With that said, IF this game has been in development for years, then it’s very unlikely there’s nothing to show……and if it’s nothing they are happy with, then why in the world wait until DAYS before release to do something? The state of a game can’t drastically change in a week or so, which means they would have long known the game isn’t ready.
Idk, I just feel like every angle is looking bad right now and it’s hard to stick with them (which is frustrating given their stance of being the leaders in popular second tier sports). Communication is SO important, and so easy. I just don’t understand it.
