Pre Launch Megathread

The Essendon disrespect continues no player in any of the top 10s.

I love it

Not exactly, 23 had a twilight game time where the sky looked similar to this.

A slight nitpick as well, it looks like the Optus roof hasn’t got the same lighting treatment that marvel has, the roof should be lit up in blue and gold for west coast games and purple for Freo games.

I think I can explain.

It didn’t happen

What else didn’t happen was the world didn’t explode. We all got to experience Pro Team. And now we get to experience AFL26 (for those who wish to purchase the game).

No need to keep flogging the dead horse mate.

I’ll be waiting only cause we all know how 23 went and I pre ordered that but I hope Big Ant prove me wrong and 26 turns out great

Does having a less file size 44GB (AFL26) than 52GB (AFL23) according to back of case mean anything, does it indicate less content or better file management??

I wouldn’t know but my guess is it’s nothing much to be concerned about hopefully

The lighting in that first screenshot looks so much better.

Looks are one thing though, hopefully the gameplay is on point

All the Eb games around my area are sold out of pre orders :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I like the way the players in the background are moving. Looks a lot more authentic and not as simulated as 23. Hoping this isn’t a sculpted screenshot and it’s one genuinely from gameplay.

Same which I find strange?

If I had to guess, for lack of other reasons I would say that they aren’t taking more orders than would be stocked on day 1.

Which might be from a history of pre-orders that turn into re-orders being cancelled more often than not - which needs a refund and is a hassle for all concerned.

If I am right then I am self awarding a gold star.

Hopefully a content creator or two has gone in today to try the game out and get some in-game footage, would be good to see something released soon so people can analyse them and pick out what different and new

I’d assume so given it is out in 3 days, but who knows honestly :frowning:

Would also like to know what AFL23 owners and credit buyers are due for. Ross did say we would find out today
