Indeed it is the one and only John Goblikon.
For ppl commenting about bugs etc - looking at the screenshots and confirmation of PS4 support I think if anything it will go the other way. Unquestionably better with a short list of fan issues resolved but still very much an upgraded version of the previous game. Time will tell!
ps ppl will still complain of course. āI meant no bugs, better team management and also awesome graphics duh. And also make it freeā.
Probably not something many care about, but Iām really hoping for an easy way to make randomised players easily. The problem with having such deep customisation is that it makes creating a whole team too time consuming. AFL Live 2011 you could quickly randomise appearance with one button and then do the stats quickly. With AFL 2023 the default players all had accessories and tats that you had to undo which was a massive pain.
@JNT_BA can you say how long this game has been in devlopment?
@JNT_BA was wondering if you could give an indication about the marking system?
Been thinking about the ānewā marking system and I really hope it gives more manual control back to the player and actually have it look like how you would take a jumping catch in mlb 25 and their previous releases.
Where you have to manually get your player positioned as close to the drop zone. (Player shouldnāt be locked in position though) - thus allowing you to move around and or fight for position with your opponent And also choose the angle of attack into the marking contest.
There is an indicator to indicate when the best time is to jump - (green is optimal) and it is manually triggered by like r1 or l1. you can even mess it up and jump too early and far away from the drop zone potentially causing a fk like front on contract.
Like for example in the following short.
@RossSymons @JNT_BA Thereās just a couple of things i want to ask about in particular that have been of great interest to me.
Will we see more signature goal kicking animations and will the signature celebrations be in the game this time?
Will there be licensed music in the menus and could we potentially use club songs as menu music?
Will the grand final day field paint be accurate to real life? (Club logos under the centre square) and will we see the year on the Toyota AFL Premiership Season/Finals Series field paint and grand final day patches?
Lastly, could there potentially be a more streamlined image/logo uploader to make things easier for console players?
Really looking forward to the game and i hope you guys have knocked it out of the park
So did this actually end up happening?
I wonder if headbands will be an accessory option in AFL26?
yea definetly, what was the reason of posting this if not true.
Watching the Geelong game I assume
Surely licensed music. Or at very least some exciting soundtracks to keep you pumped. Unlike the incredibly bland soundtracks used in 23.
Any idea as to when we would be expecting this to be?
As for the music, licensced would be great but would much rather a good game rather than licensed music.
Out of the things i mentioned the licenced music is the thing Iām least concerned about.
But if it were to be added i think it would drastically improve the vibe of the game. Iām sure Big Ant have had a solid increase in revenue cause of Pro Team in AFL23 and soon to be Cricket 24 so i donāt think itās unrealistic.
Even if itās just Australian Bands/Artists, itās better than nothing.
Honestly Iād prefer Aussie bands compared to the main stream stuff
can we add the option of when the crows are playing home for the crowd to boo every 10 seconds (crom supporter)
They didnāt even have suspensions at all last year and now you want fines
Obviously a little bit upset on the result tonight, Iāll let that comment slide
yes so i can try and beat zak butters 50k fines
Who agrees with @GWSHARPY here
the longer we go without a first look or something the more we are skeptical of this game and the preparation behind it
