possibly engage too early and get stuck in the drop zone and you could be jostled out.
too late to the contest and possibly give away a free if you still press triangle to jump for the mark?
time your run into the contest perfectly and triangle on time and you get the mark.
better than the old system. and i feel like you will get more 50/50s with the ball being on the ground.
this system would be good for player career and playing as a defender who specialises in intercepting marks

Expecting a AAA game from a small game developer. Facts are that these AFL games have been getting better with every iteration since AFL evolution. We’re lucky that our relatively small Australian sport is even getting a video game, if it ends up being a game that you can have fun with for at least 50 hours then I’ll take that as a win.

They could also nerf the strength of the kick if you wheeled around to your opposite side, make the kick go shorter or more offline when pressured by the people coming of the mark or even people coming towards the marking contest. Perhaps the meter speeds up very quickly if you play on from a mark. Just because the mechanic of the actual kick is the same, might not mean the result in gameplay is.

so with jostling and even marking. if your player is in a position behind a player in a marking contest and you press the button to mark or jostle too early - Im hoping that would result in a push in the back or give away a free.
must have a system to punish pressing X or triangle too early surely.

My only issue is the same as AFL23. Why do they continue / persist with such a small text size? There is so much room inside those text boxes. Please make it bigger.

Everybody in here acting like they don’t continue to buy and play the new fifa, madden or 2k games every year 
THOSE are a copy and paste. From everything I’ve seen so far with Pants videos and all the screenshots, BA has done an EXCELLENT job in improving upon afl23 and have exceeded most people’s expectations. Be grateful that we’re getting a new game in the first place, if you don’t like the look of the game don’t buy it, simple as that.

The speccy really impressed me, also being able to bump opponents off the ball to protect the ball carrier is very cool. I’m excited, not sure why there are so many complaints.

Spot on!!! From someone who has played hours of 23, this is a huge upgrade. Plus it’s difficult to judge when you don’t have the remote in your hands playing it. Can guarantee it will feel much better
