Yeah once you add a licensed player to a licensed club it locks that player into the squad forever until you reset the club to default. So frustrating that we can’t make changes to licensed club rosters. It’s so backwards and completely destroys the point of the great creation tools that BA games come with. Doubt you’d see this in an EA Sports/2K game.

That’s really poor and it defeats the point of all the customisation if you can’t remove players or update squads.
Surely they need to either patch the new squads or let us make the changes?

The fact that we cannot edit the national squads is absolute lunacy. Scotland’s current captain, who captained them to victory earlier today, is not even in the squad and you can’t select him into it, either. What is that?
Was thinking earlier ba could have just a match day 23 so it gives you a chance to add more players
There is a way of doing it - if you find Tuipolotu through the Players Tab. You can search him and find the one you want. If you select him then there should be a button that says club. press that and then you can add him to Scotland. Hope this helps 
I’m ok with not being able to remove players but would appreciate being able to add more than 55, maybe up to 60 or 65
