@JNT_BA
Regarding the gameplay, do you honestly think that at the end (several months), you will manage to have something as smooth/fun as RL26 in R25? Or in your opinion there are too many changes to be done and that would be more in the long term for next titles ?
There is no struggle, there is making sure it goes out working. Unless youâre mad dragon and stuff doesnt work then works a few days later after he resets his device.
Many of these things are getting redesigned and implemented. I sit there with the team and we work out the best way to get things done. Good thing is they are right next to me to bounce ideas back and forth.
Bears gonna be jealous

looking forward to it and really hope we will see significant updates @JNT_BA ⌠Please let âHeld upâ TMO Referee no Try everytime over try line be one of the fixes âŚI know there is still alot of work to be done ![]()
Chop Chop, less than 3 hours before the end of the day in Melbourne
Then we have different definitions of struggle.
@JNT_BA Ross just spoiled Rugby Championship confirmed, you can announce it here now ![]()
Haha I dont see that in there ![]()
Haha I know mate, was joking ![]()
Doing dad jokes whereas Iâm not even a dad
Ah maybe it was Rick Ross or Fake Ross, my bad ![]()
Damn, I should be working on it now then
#ILoveChess
Since @JNT_BA said they doing overhauls lets give him the chance to fix stuff so far at least he has not been all talk ross. Overhauls take time and lets see what magic they do in the next update. Im sure they know pressure is on them to deliver this time
Haha just saw your post about it. They hate union
Pretty interesting to see JNT posting that maybe mad dragons issues relate to him having to reset his system.
What does that mean in relation to the possibly faulty new goalkicking system? Is there some implication there that we may need to reset our systems somehow for that to actually work? Who knows as JNT isnât talking about it, despite it being mentioned several times.
When a new feature comes out and it is one of very few significant changes in many months I think the consumer has a reasonable expectation that it should work without having to reset your system or reset any of the in-game settings or anything else.
The fact is that the base game of rugby league 26 has been built on the back of work done years ago with earlier versions. Therefore there is an inherent stability and basic template for the gameplay that changes can be built on top of. Iâm sure the programmers for rugby league 26 are having a significantly easier time implementing new features and improvements than the rugby 25 team.
Even taking that massive advantage into account the team bringing out updates for rugby league 26 are delivering such significant improvements that it would be ridiculous to expect the Rugby 25 consumer to be anywhere near content with what we are putting up with.
How about every try that we score that an opposition player touches us becomes a held up situation?
That should be hot fixed out tomorrow, no several yesterdayâs ago! We should have a fully functional try scoring and TMO system⌠at launch!!! There are things going wrong with rugby 25 that are just flat out poor and we are not getting the communication that reassures us that it will be fixed and soon.
I donât think between Bapean, Valhalla, myself and many others that we are sitting around wanting to criticize. We want a game to praise, but there are such fundamental downsides to this game that take you out of the experience that unfortunately the only reality you are going to see is complaint for a while.
At the moment most rugby 25 consumers feel like the poor relation to rugby league 26, and why wouldnât they?
Could well be Valhalla, but if thatâs the case your explanation which I might add is not from a big ant representative is the only faint hint of an explanation that has been forthcoming.
I really donât think it is the situation as I have tried a variety of power levels and aiming from right in front of the sticks and its skews quite wildly however I attempt it.
But thank you for trying to offer some form of idea.
I agree 100% ⌠I hope @JNT_BA see this and fix the âHeld upâ situation I have been asking for a while ⌠I wish that will be hot fixed tomorrow but dont think so ⌠a TMO system with a screen or so that a try must be a try and a no try must not will be epic really need this ⌠I hope this can be fixed .. I really love this game and think @JNT_BA can do this ![]()
Anyway gameplay can go in the bin, who cares about gameplay in a game?
The only true suspense is: will we see gripsocks ?
Firstly @Valhalla_Vagabond: Totally agree mate, but the biggest problem is that it hasnât even been acknowledged as a problem yet!!!
@Wimpie - I would love try scoring collisions, groundings & TMO sorted or brought up to a release day standard, but itâs a bit unlikely when itâs not been spoken of as a priority yet. Fingers crossed something changes soon.
Chuck the ridiculously clunky scrums on the scrapheap too. No one enjoys them. League doesnât have contestable ones like real life, but I love the viewing angle and the simplicity. Thatâs how scrums should be viewed in game!!!
Then add a bit of timing, pushing and wheeling with sticks, hooking and number 8 & 9 options. Thatâs all it needs to be. A fairly quickly played timing and pushing contest mostly with a view point related to the rest of the game! Currently too much mucking about and a crazy viewing angle.
Same here bud I would love to have that in the game but yeah fingers crossed
that this will be fixed ⌠I will probably have to make a post everyday to let @JNT_BA fix the TMO "Held Up " NO try everytime hopefully he will see it and respond and just to get feedback or just to say Team is working on it ⌠I hope we will see changes ![]()
Yeah, Iâm with you on this
A mini-game for scrums just isnât that fun. Iâd rather it work more like RL26: quick, simple, and keeps the match flowing. Maybe just have the ball put in, and then let the scrum play out through animations influenced by team stats like strength, scrum, mentality, and match momentum. That way you could still get different outcomes: stable scrums, collapses, or ones getting driven back several metres, without having to mess around with clunky controls.
Could you share the idea again, there are too many dooferies in this thread to find it haha
And donât forget to add the RL26 Broadcast camera. ![]()
