@JNT_BA This makes no sense. Look at Rugby 08, Rugby Challenge 4, Rugby 22âŚlicensed players are not removed. If I go in any of those games I dont see generic players. Even the original RC4 game from 2020 has all the SA PLAYERS the game came out with. Why is only Rugby 25 and no previous games had this problem? I can trade and move players around in Rugby 22, Rugby 20, Rugby Challenge 4, Rugby Challenge 3, Rugby 08, Rugby 06 etc???

Although not removed rugby challenge 4 for example is no longer purchasable on steam because the licenses expired.
Thats obvs not an option for big ant because they are continuing to work on the game.
Its not out of the question to think the boks license expired, this game was scheduled to release 2 years ago.
If it has expired nacon may want to renew, they may not want to put more resources into a failing project

There were also issues moving players from certain teams in the original rugby challenge released in 2011 too. Unsure if they persisted with the later rc games
I reckon the issue with the Springboks is that BA hasnât had the final approval on it. It was one of the teams that had positions on screen instead of player names and it likely had a stricter licensing contract so for now theyâve had to remove the actual players until they get approval. I donât think theyâve lost the license as the logo and kit are still in game

@JNT_BA Knock on bugs is still in the game, no knock on advantages or knock ons given, the issue with offsides is still a thing, no real advantage for offside, just a penalty given immediately after the tackle, also advancing with offside players and playing as normal is crazy, should be advantage or penalty.
What I also saw now is that with substitutions cutscenes, you cannot see the players heads anymore, its outside of the camera/cutscene, dont know if its just because one plays a certain camera-this was Broadcast Close. And please fix the scrum issue that collapse everytime but also then the props doesnt get talked to but the number 8. And flatter running lines should really come into this game now

By the end (RC4) you could add/move players freely and edit squads. You could edit all player likeness except a number of officially scanned players.
Rugby25âs ability to add players & edit stats now is great - but with the inability to remove players - what a joke. $100 and it doesnât have the squad functionality of a 17 year old game like Rugby 08 
Back to RC4 after this season I guess!

I really enjoyed playing the Womenâs Rugby World Cup on R25. Final is already tomorrow.
Good that Ross spoilt us early August, imagine if a second World Cup have been missed. Would have been crazy to do the same mistake twice

Yeah Iâm more on side the license has expired and think we can probably start to expect to see it happening to more teams, but then eyes will be on Nacon/BA if licenses doesnât get renewed does that mean that no rugby 27 or does BA loose the license and Nacon probably going back to Eko software to make rugby games and they starting to get rights to licenses to teams

Have you tried the team âresetâ button to remove players or reset the team to default. It comes up as an option if you press Square button on PS5 when you put the cursor on manage team roster box. Not sure the controls for Xbox or PC.
This is the exact reason I was scared to add a licensed player to a licensed team for fear not being able to remove them. I can see it can only be done by clicking on individual player and then bringing up a club list. It wonât generally let you in manage roster add players pathway.
Is the career mode playable?
Ah well South Afrika not being in the game, I guess my fellow french people and rugby lovers dont care much about it ( igniting non existing rivalry + getting warmed up for November )
@JNT_BA to be fully fair and honnest, i surprised myself playing few games in a row and enjoying it like i did for other Rugby Games. It felt fun, attacking, defending, Ai play felt smooth and organic. We were a bit negative ( game isnt finished after 2 years delay and 9 months release ) but it wouldnt be fair to not notice progress. Hopes this boost motivation amongst the team.
I feel.like you guys took this challenge of making the greatest game ever with the same confidence as me wanting to climb Himalaya ( Not fit at all). Keep ascending lads.
Looking forward that you unlock stadium in clubs as its impossible to pick another one for prod2 teams so all of it is in Stade de France.

Honestly if it happens with a large number of teams I could see a large number of users getting together to seek a remedy as I think the end user should reasonably expect to have the teams and players that were with the game when it was bought.
Mind you software publishers and console platforms have been gradually eroding our rights for a long time now by changing EULAâs so much that we no longer own the games we own.
I think eventually that will reach a point where a consumer group will get some major changes made.

I doubt BA own the licenses, thatll be nacon.

A shame to lose SA. More of a shame we lost out on extra time with the licence due to the massive delays.
We need someone like vesh to create a custom Springboks team.
