Great to see URC Teams updated with kits, players and stats. Squad depth is pretty good.
One aspect that was dissapointing was that The URC Fixtures are not updated for 2025/26. We are still playing the coach career fixtures for 2024. I thought this would be a straight forward thing to implement considering everything is updated with kits and licensing.

Premiership rugby also has no updated Kits.
I lodged Ticket #43799. So what I have discovered is that some players are not visible in the game under roster management but visible in change team lineups. Some squads will say maximum 51 players , 53 or 54. Actually you have 55 players there but the invisible ones are not counted in the overall count so it will say you canât add anymore than 53 but two players are invisible. The invisible players though are counted under position breakdown list.
So it will say for instance you have 6 Scrumhalfâs but only 5 are viable on the screen. Specific example , Blue Bulls - Players - Sithole - Loose Head Prop and Centre - Van Niekerk are invisible. Also for Scarlets - N8 players Kossouth are Sparrow are invisible but you can see them in Team Line up menu.
I can see this is also happening in Super Rugby Squads so I think this bug is across the whole game.
Hopefully you can understand and fix this bug soon.
I only played two matches so far in URC. What I have noticed is that itâs harder to be penalised for offside. I not sure of this is working as it should and will continue to monitor the referee behaviour. I ran a few players out of the line but referee did not penalise them if they had not got back to defence line in time for Ai to pass ball from ruck. Perhaps referee only penalises if a player directly tackles after being offside.
Injuries are still a bit questionable ? I will up
It to Extreme and see what happens. Only had 1 player injured out of both sides ( None for Ai) on two matches on realistic setting. URC.
Anyway thatâs all for now. Hopefully we donât wait too long for updated Super Rugby Kits.
@Rugbygamer40 I noticed the offside issue too. Looks like the ref no longer calls advantage if a player is in an offside position. They will only give a penalty if that offside player makes a tackle.
As the gameplay feedback is being done to death, some idea for cut scene could have a physio treating the injured player and bring the tee on for goal kicks
Hi @JNT_BA ⌠just a update Iâve been playing since the new latest patch and to be honest very good and positive update I mean like I said from where the game started and where it is now you can definitely see the differences and I know its not easy for you guys but I mean atleast we can play a rugby game .. I mean to see the dirt on the kits and players and the new test match game mode and anthems for some teams its really nice to see and all the other things included so thanks for that @JNT_BA
So just a few things I also want to say and maybe you can take a look at ⌠I know the game is not perfect and it still needs alot of work on gameplay especially we need that ⌠I will like to see Set Pieces in the game I mean cross kick and like a good set piece with the backline that would be so nice in the game and to score a try like that Rucks needs work it feels a little bit unrealistic and then also support runners its almost there but still feels if they are still a little bit behind when Im passing ⌠then I realized I played a game now and I was winning 24-21 and in the 80th min the AI had the ball so they decided to kick the ball out everytime the AI did this but they can still win the game ⌠Also with TMO the timing soo when its TMO the commentator says its a try before even the ref take a looks at it so maybe a fix if we can get that

Regarding laws and rules that I have seen mentioned here. I accept many cant or wont be implimented, thats fine, but there are some things that need polish in this regard.
A number of times a match, the ball just bounces off a player or drops to the ground etc. Im happy with this happening, whether its intended or not, this happens in rugby, however no advantage calls, no knock on calls no offside calls (players picking up the ball from offside positions) is something that needs fixing.
Another thing is I can go an entire match without a scrum or penalty. Its very immersion breaking, implementing some sort of breakdown infringement is required I think, and adding handling errors as a feature.
Would love to start seeing ai decision making improvements. Adding some variation in how they play and create chances. The ai needs to make use of 2v1s and attacking space, more attacking kicks etc..

Good points. And as a few people have already mentioned, the AI team donât compete at their opponentâs lineouts any more. Any chance of a hotfix for this?
In a lot off game there is a lot off whats called kick tennis until someone makes a mistake would love to see rhis in the game as i think the ai run out of there 22 way to much
@JNT_BA Will offside advantage be added back in the hot fix?
Also for future updates please allow the AI to be offside more often so we and the AI can get multiple penalties a game, also knock on and forward pass frequency need to be upped. Then we can have more set Pieces and it would be more like real rugby. Also, not every high tackle is a straight red manh are yellows and some not even cardable offences. It would be cool if after a high tackle a yellow card is given and a bunker review happens and sometimes it is upgraded sometimes not. And of course some high tackles are straight reds, maybe different animations for them and each one has a different severity and chance of happening.
Also, with TMO, I think it is great that itâs on the game as games like EA FC doesnât have VAR for example, but it needs to be implemented properly. I donât think the TMO should be implemented in wide positions if there is no possibility of a try being disallowed due to being in touch. Also, potential knock ons during tries could be a better use. TMO could also be used during high tackles, as stated above. Finally, it is used okay with the held up tries but I still think it could do some work and also the commentary that spoils the result has to be fixed and also the sound as well as the crowd doesnât cheer as the try is awarded.

Jordan, you should be incredibly proud of your efforts and your determination on this game. It is a complete 180 from what was released last year and is soooo much more fun to play. I was the most skeptical and had all but given up on Rugby 25. After the last update, I canât put the game down.
Totally agree with a lot of the comments above, the game has come a long way and itâs genuinely fun to play in its current state. I played last night and really enjoyed the new sidestep, and the dummy pass feels great for getting past defenders. The dummy pass in particular seems to help you break tackles without needing to fend, and the animation looks really slick.
One thing Iâd love to see improved is punt distance, so thereâs more room for a tactical kicking game. If punts could travel a similar distance to a full-power drop goal, that would be ideal. I know I can just use a drop goal to clear from inside my 22, but it kind of breaks the immersion.
On the topic of immersion, are we likely to see more advertising added to stadiums? And where do the licensing restrictions usually sit: with the stadium, the competition, the home team, or someone else?
I think the Offsides need to be looked at as a hot fix priority if possible. Almost none occur anymore in matches. Doesnât help the Ai get attacking opportunities or field position so we have more challenging matches. This is PS5 Hardest Difficulty.
On Injuries , they are happening but only under âExtremeâ Setting in the URC games I been playing in coach career. Itâs good to see but usually itâs only 1 player on my team and 1 on the Ai team per match. âRealistic â I donât see any injuries.
Also just before I started some URC season campaigns I edited a lot of stats for nearly all the players and lowered Stamina on a lot to 85 for a lot of backs and 75 for a lot of forwards. Hope this bit of info helps as it seems injuries are linked to Stamina. It be good if they happened more randomly regardless of stamina ?
I agree offsides need to be tuned but to be fair since the patch Iâve only seen legit offside penalties - no more of the random ones for absolutely no reason

I was waiting to edit players, but since this wonât be an option, you have Alcino Izaaca (Nambia) and it should be Alcino Izaacs. In Canada you have Cali Martinez and Calixto Martinez, which are the same player.
Goal kicking still needs to be fixed, its frustrating when I score a try 9/10 times the kick flys far left or far right even with me flicking the stick straight up
