Hello Big Ant, I’m sending you this message to thank you for the progress the game has made and also to share an idea that could be great for its development. First of all, it would be fantastic if all the rosters for all the teams in the game were updated (even though this is already the case for URC). Also, would it be possible to add features to the career mode similar to those in Rugby League 26 (which is a great game)? Thank you for your understanding and your work.

Yes, I would like to echo these sentiments. It’s still not quite there, maybe it never will be, but the game is 500% more fun to play than it was on release and the fact that Big Ant have continued to work on it for so long is worthy of merit.

EDIT: Having said that, I’m disappointed to see that the ghost player bug is back. It seemed to be triggered by me intercepting a pass from an offside position, after which nobody could tackle me and I couldn’t pass.

what sliders do you use?

does anyone have a perfect slider for kicking ? the kicking is too overpowered and i have been tryung to tweak it but it doesnt make a difference

U would like there would be an advantage call on foul plays.not instant penalties given if Big Ants could work on that issue

New update on ps5 is broken do a sub but subs doesn’t happen

On xbox the sub is delayed so happens after a few stops in play. Also ive put kicking distance on max and its the exact same as the default. Anyone know why this is? The kicking sliders seem to not work for me.

I just did some testing. At first it didn’t work on PS5. I had done replacement of a prop. Ai scored but new prop did not get on field at restart for kickoff but on team management menu it registered with the change in lineup.

Then I did the same new match again and subs are now all working correctly during play. It’s not freezing when a red card has been issued and you make replacements. I haven’t been able to yet test again if replacements fail to come on the field when a try is scored. But generally seems to work for me when the ball is kicked into touch or stoppage in play.

Fingers are still crossed for the super rugby kits. :folded_hands::folded_hands::folded_hands:

I just tested it there, when the game was 0 0 I subbed on a Flanker and it was perfect, but when I scored I tried to sub on a prop and it took another phase after the try to make the sub

If you don’t think GripSocks are a priority in a rugby union game … maybe ask yourself if you really understand the true essence of rugby.

GripSocks define rugby union as a sport.

Winston Churchill is famous for his saying

  1. Can you please make the AI clear from their own defensive lines, i.e. within their own 22 and try line, whether that be from a box kick into touch, or general play kick into touch, using the 10 in the pocket? Add a slider to control the frequency thereof as well, or make the AI aware of when to keep the ball and run, like the dying moments of the game and they need to score to win. Also, AI should use more tactical kicking, like chip kicks and grubbers on attack, when appropriate.
  2. Passes are maybe a bit floaty, but generally good. Perhaps add a slider to control the speed of passes. Offloads are VERY floaty if you could fix and maybe also add slider. Also, offloads should only be possible if a supporting player is within a certain radius or proximity of the tackled player, say 3 meters. If there is none, then no offload, even if you press the button.
  3. Too many ruck turnovers are happening. Hopefully the sliders are coming soon so we can adjust the frequency. Otherwise a short term fix would be nice.
  4. Tactics, including for AI would be nice. This mindless running, with an inside pass every second pass, is getting very boring. Ball needs to go to forward pods for a crash ball, or go wide, with support and dummy runners and dynamic plays.
  5. Need sliders for knock-on and penalty frequency asap. There are a lot more play stopages IRL. And Im not talking high tackle penalties, but ruck, mall, scrum and offside penalties. Need more play advantage as, where the AI can take more chances
  6. Add some of the great menu music to the match music, at particular stages, like stopage in play (try, ball in touch, scrum, replacements, etc) as it will add a lot more atmosphere, and the current music that plays when a try is scored, is depressing.
  7. Referee whistle is absent for many play stopages. Even when a try is scored, there is no whistle. Lack of atmosphere and realism
  8. Yellow and red cards not showing by the scoreboard, shoukd be added
  9. Invincible players following an intercept
  10. Custom competition enhancements mentioned a couple of weeks ago
  11. Grass types, grass pattern options, field/climate options (like the cricket games with different colour grass), pitch condition (patches etc) and drainage quality (water puddles, mud on jourseys etc)
  12. Actual player benches for the reserves, with various options in stadium creator (poor to great), support staff next to field, security around field, medics and ambulance. When a player gets a small injury he can play on but lose speed and/or power (injury dependent), but if player gets a severe injury, play doesnt just stop, he must lie down, or sit (if lower body injury), or crouch and wait for actual medics to come onto field. Play only stops when the injured player and medics start to impede play. Once play stops, it shows a cut scene of the medics taking him off the pitch

Lots of small QOL improvements that can be made at this point of development

I feel knock ons should be more realistic as well. As in acaully catching it and then dropping it rather than just bouncing off the players chest. Weather should also be a factor for frequency of knock ons

Hello Big Ant … I need help with urgency. When in creating a jersey for my AKL Blues, I can no longer go into the Logo tab to download Logos. This has been happening for almost 2 months. Every time I go into the Logo online, my game crashes. I’ve deleted and re downloaded. Same problem. I’ve restored the License multiple times and same result. I cannot go into the Logo online to download logos as it crashes. What can I do please. I’ve created multiple jerseys for multiple clubs but it won’t let me go online to download Logos. Can you help me Big Ant please!

Hello Big Ant,

Will we be able to assign a stadium to an official team? Do you plan to debug this feature ?
When I start a career, none of the teams have the stadium I assigned. I think this is a bug because when I quit the game and return to the stadium selector for the team, the slot selected for the stadium is empty.

Game most definetly has improved and the rucks have improved tremendously, having said that, in order for this game to be one of the best rugby games, we need.

Rucks are almost there but need:

More AI infringments, hands in the ruck, holding on. These all happen against the User but not present against the AI.

The ability for the first rucking supporting offensive player to pick and go. You can do this with second arriving support player but not the first, If the defensive rucking player has not arrived.

Scrums: Has a good system, but is not working correctly and no real risk vs reward, (risk and reward was given to rucks, and now look how much more fun it is to play rucks) hand in rucks vs steal.) If you play the scrums to perfection the AI should get penalized by collapsing or forcing them to infringe, ( this should only happen when you play to perfection, and the meters are handicapped (maybe be speed) depending how good or the scrum ratings.
This would make scrums much more fun to play. Possible outcomes depending how good you play them.

  1. win the scrum for possession
  2. win the scrum by perfection cause the AI or opponent to collapse or infringe
  3. overplay the scrum and get penalized ( push to early, wheel scrum, ect, ect)
  4. play good enough not to colapse but to cause the opponent or AI to play the ball
  5. Play well enough to have opponent to be pushed back several meters, possibly setting up a scum line try.
  6. Play bad enough that AI or opponent scores a scrum drive for significant meters or a try.

Rucks are almost there, let make scrums fun again:) Thank you again Big Ant for great improvements.

And finally would be nice to have set plays, and pod play on the fly.
Add these items and could have one of the best Rugby games released to date.

Final note, the AI should kick more out of there end, many times they try playing the ball from way back on there try line, and they are easly crushed (on hardest difficulty) on there try line. Have them kick the ball out of there side. Even if you have to give them a little more of a super human kick, woulld make the game more competitive.
