At what point do you stop and announce Rugby 27?. RWC would be great for your marketing team and drive more sales, but you need to get all these little fixes sorted in the new game as Rugby 25 is far from what was promised.

Technically if a game came out for the world cup it would be rugby 28 because the world Cup is October 2027. Rugby 27 would be out in the next few months which probs wouldnât happen
This is like the 8th time of asking.
Any further updates on the stadium advertising etc being worked on by the presentation team? We were told a very, very long time ago that this was only awaiting sign-off. Considering this title is bound to have its development lifecycle finished shortly, when can we expect this?

How about BA add managers like FC and let you customize your own in a career mode save rather then having just some boring text
Well whats happening long term, is there gonna be a new title for this season or atleast a big update with new kits, fixtures and lineups? U must have some idea of what the future of the game looks like. Its not like rl26 were at least they have a good carrear mode and pro team. All we have is an outdated game currently. Not trying to be negative or anything but would be nice to have some sort of idea of what to expect.

When its time to know more, youll know.
Its hardly a surprise the kits etc are out of date, the full release was over a year ago.

Ye but what im saying is they must have some idea of whats gonna happen. Games just unplayable. Passing has gone downhill so it would be nice to have alteast updated lineups and kits so it feels a tad realsitic in that way.

Updated kits involves a ton of licensing issues. Not gonna happen, and not within Big Ants control. I would imagine updating squads is the same.

Well kits is fair cause that probs does take a lot. But updated lineups surley is simple. Ur literally moving a player thats already in the game to another team? Would be better if BA did it to save us time but give us access and its pretty simple for us to do? I get what ur saying tho about other stuff. Just frustrating, I go on the game and theres just nothing to do. Cant even load into an online game with someone under 100ms

Again, not being able to move players between teams and the lack of updated squads is a licensing issue which is out of big Ants control

Ah, didnt think it would be a licencing issue if they were already in the game, strange how u cant move players between teams. But u can put licenced players into a custom team? Cheers for the info tho m8

Licensing agreements are incredibly complex and have expiry dates. You would imagine for sporting titles the expiry dates would coincide with the end of the season/during the offseason.
It would make little sense for nacon to renegotiate the licensing terms on a game that is a year old id imagine the costs would be huge. Those funds would be better spent towards rugby 27 (if they make it.) . Even if the licensing terms are for a longer period the work involved capturing all in game kits is a huge undertaking. Again you have to factor in the cost.
With regards to moving players between licensed teams, you can likely thank individual rugby bodies for that WRU, RFU etc

Instead of a new game, they should update this one to Rugby 28 via FREE DLC to everyone that has purchased the game.
Donât understand rugby player licenses. I know in every other sports game you can move players freely. What is the difference in Career when a player signs with another team? You have licensed players on other teams!

Yeah, I do not understand licencing either. I cannot put a contracted NZ player from Super Rugby into the All Blacks or remove old ones. Rugby Challenge gave full editing which made the game last longer and you could update the teams each year. Shame as there are players we are now stuck with in teams, and they are all very outdated.
I keep saying to build full custom game with no licences and we as the community would build the teams and share them. Gameplay & customisation are more important than licence IMO - but I know thatâs just me.
436 days before the menâs RWC - and we cannot play a version of RWC in this game (mind blowing). Canât even create it due to the options creating a tournament (unless anyone knows how). Such a shame.
All we can do is hope for some news soon..
