Look onion cheeks, I never play RLL4 and can’t win any games on that above the easiest level on that game anyway. I am horrid at RLL4. So you are … again, wrong there.
I have already agreed with you on this about the difficulty gaps, but you are too busy trying to tell people what they can and can’t think to remember
P.s I care about my scores. They are great
You keep telling yourself you can tell people on the internet what to do as well mate
shockingly I will not listen to you.
Game is fun, just needs some tweaks, removing the bugs, the missing content.
Imma glaaaaaaaaze all over this bish

So, half a season in, I can say the game is pretty fun.
Loads of bugs and rough edges for BigAnt to sort through, but I’ve never seen them abandon a game. The core of it, even if recycled, is solid enough to work from.
Key things I’d like to see in the next patches:
- Fix the positions of young players, so they’re not all Fullbacks.
- Give us stats to look at mid game and after the game. Metres run, set completion, etc should be the bare minimum.
- Have a look at the audio syncing around tries. Getting real sick of the referee’s whistle going before he blows it on the animation.
- Keep working on how the hooker follows the play in attack. It’s better than it was initially, but still not great.
- At least give us a text size option, as right now the text in general is all weirdly small.
Does anybody know what the latest update has changed?

Pretty sure someone said it was the tries not registering on the scoreboard they did a hotfix for? Someone just mentioned it in the bugs megathread.
Steam users, was the update seriously just 26mb??
If thats the case, thats freakin ridiculous

There were 2 mate to be fair. Do you mean in total? The last one for Steam was this for me anyway.
Can we get statistics added for each player during games and after …
Before work, I checked steam and it was only that one that was getting updated (I’m guessing thats the hotfix).
Wasn’t there supposed to be a bigger one releasing last night live on steam as well? (AUS time)

Yeah I think you are right. I had a bigger one earlier in the day. Was like 53mb from memory? Neither of them substantial in size tbf.
53mb?? If that’s the case, I’m having doubts on the update.
Surely the patch notes they put out are covered by “mb” worth of it

The whole transition from tackle position to standing up and playing the ball needs speeding up.
Speeding up the stand and play the ball animations would help a lot. Make it as fast as possible so holding down in tackle has a purpose in the game.
But also getting the dummy half into position and passing quicker would also take seconds off the time it takes.
I’d rather be complaining that I can’t slow it and have to scramble in Defence while risking six again because I’m having to use hold down than watching the defensive line stand there for ages waiting for play to continue and giving the attack no real attack opportunities.

Having doubts with what? I don’t think every update means extra GBs? Like if they alter code already in it won’t bloat it more? IDK.
Not a dev so …
Anyone know if the patch from last night and the hotfix have both come out on console? I’m on PS5.
Also, were the tries not displaying in scores (last nights patch), actually still affecting the result, allowing you the win if you actually had, despite the score?
Doubt’s with mainly the obvious issues being fixed. But obvs, I won’t know until I play it tonight. Fingers crossed.

Agree, but what if a player must earn the right to get a quick play the ball such as in real life!? For example if a player is tackled and lands on stomach then that they may be a situation where as the user could hold in R2 to fight for ruck speed/dummy half getting a pass away. Alternatively if your tackled player has a number of defenders on them or are on their backs then should a quick play the ball be awarded?? There are some potential uses for this that Bigant could build upon…
I get what you are saying but keeping it simple the attempt to play the ball should be faster regardless of body position so holding down can be used more effectively. Do you agree.
Yeah I agree, a quicker play the ball, when done effectively, can really catch the defensive line scrambling to get back the 10. That’s where the holding down mechanic actually starts to matter more, because slowing the ruck becomes a tactical choice rather than just a penalty risk. Adds a bit more depth if the game rewards momentum and fast ruck speed properly.
Wasn’t there a feature in RLL4 where you wiggled the right stick once tackled to try and get out the tackle faster, it often led to penalties against the defender. That seems to be absent this time around.

“Rectified Signed artwork for Leichhardt Oval”
So they kinda fixed it…
They got the spelling right this time but why does it say ‘save Leichhardt Oval’ instead of just ‘Leichhardt Oval’.
