It’s the same animations from the last game, the diving try, stepping everything lol hopefully the gameplay is smooth i would hate it if the game is just a replica it’s 2025
Peruse the menus. Play a quick game between 2 random teams. Check if there is a Wolfhounds team (Ireland national team) and if not make one of my own with Irish heritage players from Superleague and NRL teams (mainly SL).
I know that’s 3 things…but I do this with every sports game that I buy
I understand there not being a online “pre-order” as usually most platforms don’t put a game up for preorder unless there is a “special edition” or something along those lines but I really hope they have a pre download option a few days before so it’s ready to play minute of launch. There latest cricket game was quite a large download and if that game is anything to go off in terms of how Rugby league 26 will play, I’m excited!
I think the number of views on this forum compared to their other titles and how long those games have been around or first leaked shows how much support a Rugby League video game & the team at Big Ant has - already upto 10.5/11k views even a week out prior to release - not sure what other games stats were though
I think with all our constructive feedback post release for any bugs or niggling gameplay issues that we may find for them to work hard on rectifying, we can really make this the greatest game iteration yet RL fam!
1 week to go - Bring it ON!!!
I’m not mad it’s a polished RLL4. The Animations look so good though. Models look amazing, the wide angles of the girls moving when we get the walshy swan dive try were amazing. The Raiders driving tackle was ah-mazing imo.
I think it’s not their choice but NRL who has to release the trailer (from what I have seen from tweets)
Yeah it’s all on the NRL for marketing it seems
Crazy really. Less than 7 days, some pictures (which were not great) a non gameplay trailer and some online random lists of features. Frustrating.
Will RL26 be available globally? I am outside of Australia but I really want to buy it. I can’t see anything on Steam or the Xbox store yet
Steam, PSN and Xbox will go live on release day.
It’s all a bit odd.
Cheers, that’s a relief
Super league just dropped their trailer
Super League trailer is basically the same as the NRL version, but with English teams, same clips used..although not filmed in a stadium via a phone…lets go!!!
Gee we are about to go into a round of matches… wouldn’t it be a great idea to post a simulation game with this weeks matches before each as a way to promote RL26…. I mean what do I know about generating content and interest before each game. Not much it seems.
It’s all rather underwhelming and odd a week prior to release. Keep your nerve fellers. I’m definitely laying off buying until I see a few reviews. I’m still smarting after purchasing Rugby 25.
I didn’t play Rugby 25 myself but more than likely I’ll do a blind purchase for League 26. I think League looks to be easier than Union to recreate and make fun in a video game, so I think it should at least be better..
If you buy it from EB they have a trade in deal, trade 2 games worth $10 value each, you get the game for $49
I think that’s about what its worth atm with nothing much being shown.
I hope they have put in some good effort into the game modes, I hope Be Ama Pro / Player Career is
much better & worth while this time
I love league and I love video games so it would have to be utter.. (you know what) for me not to enjoy it. I hope it sells well and BigAnt gain a bigger following in order for them to improve the budget for future league games.
I’ve been following Big Ant since before the release of Rugby League Live. The bigger they’ve gotten, the worse the quality of their games has gotten. Nacon buying them was the worst thing that could have happened, their business model doesn’t exactly allow Big Ant to espouse passion for their releases post acquisition like what we used to get when for RLL2 & 3. Fortunately I’ve been playing lots of Rugby 25 which is an absolute mess of a game, so if it’s on par with, or slightly better than RLL4 that will be considered a win.
Happy to be proven wrong but the hit from 36 seconds in the trailer looks identical to one of the big hits from RLL4 so my hopes aren’t high that the game will feel like a refreshing take on Rugby League…
