Will Vegas be involved as it’s now apart of the nrl schedule ?

This is a great comment and a brilliant idea for the game to adopt. Proper mechanism of how rugby league actually works and plays out on the field. Well done mate!
Do you have anymore?

Thanks mate, Its one of many concepts I have, and there are a lot more in my earlier post that provides a link to a Rugby League Game Concept file on Google Drive. Just hoping someone from the Bigant Team get to run their eyes over it…

Good to see you’re still lurking around… kinda gave up on these forums but was hoping some of the old guard was still around. ::grinning_face:

I now we have some new blood but old as ive been reading this for years and playing rugby games for 35 years
im so worried about this game considering Rugby 25 is utter mud and the sneak peak videos look ominously bad
and if he’s saying an update every week to me seems like an unfinished game so they need sales to get the money to finish it. just like Rugby 25 they may have spent too much on licensing
6 months time will probably be better but will it be good? who knows?

Hopefully this game jumpstarts the series and then whoever is in charge loosens the reins… guess we’ll have to see what we get first.

hopefully someone who has actually played rugby league is involved with the gameplay of this game..theres one thing watching the game and another thing to play it and understand shape, formation and structure
and on the other side of the leaf someone who has played all the rugby and league games from day dot especially Jonahs so they can mix all the above with a good control layout

Will find out in a couple of weeks. There last league games have been decent so surely … surely cannot go TOO FAR backward. They must have retained that knowledge as well as now have the benefit of all the feedback given on RLL3 and 4 etc.

Theoretically should be a banger.

theoretically
just depends where the money goes
how much are they spending on face scans and stadiums and all that jazz to sacrifice gameplay
surely the NRL have put money in as they’re trying to crack the US market so a game is a no brainer

Yeah but even if they stick with the core gameplay of 3 and 4. Modernise it. Pro team and some other new features in career etc. Whether they do face scans or not shouldn’t change the understanding of gameplay they already hold in league.

Really hoping it is gold because R25 was a massive let down to this point. We will see in a few weeks I guess.

Gameplay for 4 is actually quite good in my opinion. Of course, it has its fair share of bugs and things to improve on, but for the most part I think it’s good. I wouldn’t still be playing it on a regular basis 8 years later if I didn’t like it. As you said, just modernise it with the new rules and fix up those little bugs and it’d be quite happy with it. I’m not expecting anything crazy and a complete overhaul on the gameplay front, maybe down the line, but at this stage just an adaptation of 4 to the new rules works for me.

Career is where i’d like to see a bit more, and I think we will. While I don’t play the AFL games, I liked what I saw with some of the options in AFL 26’s career mode - the whole pricing memberships and what not to keep fans. I think it looked cool, whether or not they nailed the execution of it I don’t know, but i’m hoping it’ll carry into RL26. I’ve found career modes in past league games to be quite basic and have a lack of replayability in the 2nd season, if I even managed to get through the first. I’d like to get stuck into one when RL26 drops because it’s been a while since i’ve done a career mode.

I know the game’s release is less than a month away, but will there be an opportunity to register for a beta test

A beta would be incredibly useful ahead of launch, allowing the community to report any bugs or glitches so they can be addressed before the full release.

What will pro team consist of? will there be icons, would be unreal running a muck with a joey johns, peter sterling etc

Agreed, RLL4 is an incredibly fun game obviously looking past all the bugs and glitches.

yea tweaks like depth in formation..the set plays should stay as formations but not randomise every play..thats where they need someone who knows the game to explain proper formation, depth and options..each formation has 3-4 options
more customisation on the strategy side of things would be epic!
stuff like the grubbers as well..I can kick a grubber 40m yet they only grubber 15-20..punts should be an arrow like Jonahs, not a circle. bombs and droppies the same but more distance
And sidesteps for the better players need to be way faster
all these tiny lil gameplay tweaks would make the game so much better
maybe make sprint L3 to free up another button as well..? control layout is a big one for me
I also like in the old EA rugby games how you could pass to a forward with L2 and R2 then to the 1st 5/8 with L1 or R1..maybe something like that could help at the ruck therefore you could have a proper front door/back door formation..?

Will this run on the steam deck??

Will the game have access to the different round inspired jerseys?
