i am changing between world tour movement and the original Tiebreak movement all the time…but i definitely play World Tour Movement more now! I have the feeling that most people will stay with that movement system.
Hi @JNT_BA
I really like the game, but right now there is a major issue with the AI (I play in Expert).
I just have to press X: either the AI will put it in the net or put it out of the court, or if he manages to give it back to me, I just have to overtake him on one side with B and it’s over. All the time, all the points. So it is quickly boring…
I win all the matches now, even in Career with my player with an average grade of 52 (Level 12 or 13), against the top players.
Cheers
@JNT_BA I appreciate the “World Tour” controls option that has been recently added. However i would like the following addressed:
-
Gameplay - i know you guys have worked hard on developing newer gameplay physics, but i feel AO Tennis 2’s gameplay is far better. I understand there are more stroke options, but i’d like to see the gameplay from AO2 adopted into Tiebreak. Its very smooth and gives you an arcade feel.
-
Camera View - Again, can you please revert back to AO Tennis 2’s gameplay camera, so it’s realistic to TV. The current view is awful.
Arcade feel is the last thing I would think most people want…………if you want arcade, maybe play topspin.
I’ve always love BA games cause I feel they aim for realism over arcade gameplay. Just look at their cricket games, lots of people love it cause they aim for realism.
If they were to give players an arcade mode maybe add it to a difficulty setting they can set it to arcade (easy) to hard (simulation).
But core should be aiming for realism instead of easy arcade.
Hi @JNT_BA . I agree that improving gameplay has to be a priority, but something that should also be considered is the game’s sound design, when hitting the ball it feels like I’m hitting a golf ball. I would also like you to change the sound quality of the courts, especially because each court has a different sound design (clay, grass, covered court, open court). thanks.
With the Playstation Global outage the digital version of Tiebreak won’t go past opening screen to allow offline play which is really poor. I can play UFC 5 digital offline with the outage
Disconnect your console from the internet and it will go through.
And on PC (steam) steam deck, rog ally… ?
PSN isn’t linked to those devices. So no issue with that service.
You are right i forgot to disconnect from internet, anyway Playstation Network is now back.
Newest update on ps5,
Played on hard
Had some great feeling rallies, +20 stroke rallies and winning the, does feel good.
The CPU is making less unforced errors now which is positive. They still tend to return serves right to the baseline. ( albeit with more topspin shots)
CPU is also handling flat shots better
Biggest problem still facing the game is return of serve from both player and cpu, which is still too easy. Serves really don’t matter atm, no matter how good the placement and timing is.
For the player as long as you power up a shot right, your player will 9/10 get a return of serve. Don’t need to guess which side the ball will go to either
This problem stems from the fact that the player moves towards the ball as part of the stroke - this isn’t a player choice. So even if you are wrong footed as long as you initiated the shot and have a powered it appropriately the player will move towards the ball. There is a bit too much hand holding in the background atm.
Really should dial it down or turn it off so that players choices in positioning plays a part In gameplay.
I’ve had longer rallies now seeing the cpu makes less mistakes, but also with the hand holding that occurs, even if I make a mistake in moving my player, it goes unpunished most of the time.
Additionally, both the player and cpu and too easily able to have perfectly powered shots, timing of when to start and release the power plays ZERO part in gameplay……this does hopefully get addressed soon.
Overall, good update still, really enjoyable matches so far.
Can anyone answer do you unlock venues when going through career, i see there are many in career not in play now mode,i saw Brisbane in career but not Sydney and Perth.
You desperately need to reintroduce the double fault and long / wide errors of the ai from ea 7 . You simply can’t have a tennis game were the ai are programmed to do neither it just absolutely destroys any immersion. Understand it’s a tricky balance to get but removing both is definitely not the right option.
Is it just me or it’s more difficult to win a point on clay?
With the same players and difficulty, is easier on hard and it’s normal, not a problem.
But I think it’s a little too difficult on clay.
First of all, thanks for the optimization of the flat shot when returning the serve, which is great. However, because the serve is not updated at the same time, the service game is even more disadvantaged. As long as the return is tied in the deep area of the shot, the computer immediately turns to a defensive disadvantage, among which the female players are the most obvious, they are all forced to go to the net when they are hit by the deep area to receive the serve, which is completely devoid of the game experience. It is hoped that on the basis of the current update, the power of the serve will be increased, or the difficulty of the return will be increased, so that the serve and return will be relatively balanced.
Hi, except of mentioned persisting serve/return problem, is AI at least able to deal with drop shots and short balls now? Thanks.
I think it’s a little better than before, but because I don’t have a lot of lobs, there may be a mistake.
Tested the new update. Not really worth talking about imo. Main issues in gameplay mechanics still there! Good thing is they didn’t introduce new bugs with the new update…so it definitely didn’t get worse xD i could copy/pasta my 23. September feedback here but why…
Can you fix the low volley? Big problem, the ball goes fast and out.
3 Oct update is easily the best yet,cpu getting back dropshots even on medium and all seems more random now, some wayward shots going long off of dropshots need to be tuned more but rallies are feeling great now really having to work to get the ball past the cpu. Many players on Youtube videos are happy with this update,i personally do not want the game to make the serving too good maybe a little faster as when some players master the timing it will be exploited which you do not want the game dominated by serving.
