I purchased the game today on Xbox series S because I was a huge fan of AO2. I started two separate careers with new created characters, but after advancing past the tutorial, I cannot schedule a training session. I have tried looking in weeks far into the future and have also tried playing a tournament first as well as scheduling a rest week. Nothing seems to unlock the training session option. I have read that training is intentionally locked for star players but should be available to new created characters. I am so excited to get into this game and career mode, but if I have no way to increase my attributes over time then the career mode is unplayable for me and I’ll have to refund the game and go back to AO2.
Just use a star player and don’t worry about created it is much more enjoyable just playing the matches not worrying building up created fighters,i much prefer to play as my favourite players than create my own. I normally just play Play Now and Tournaments and thoroughly enjoy Tiebreak even far more than AO2 which was my favourite tennis game before Tiebreak and now i don’t even touch AO2. You can play on every venue in Play Now that is available in career which is great as they are not locked.
Do you know where I can find out more about this coming update? Any indication of their plans?
I really hope we get ability to create custom competition with update
There is a limit to how much something can be fixed or improved.
-Copy TWT2 ball physics code. Assistance optional.
You have the roster and the animations.
Move on.
Seconded! Please shift the gameplay back towards AO2!
Any news about the “+” update ??? Cant wait !
Devs please don’t listen to comments in going back to AO2 gameplay as it was my favourite tennis game until Tiebreak which is clearly superior now and hoping when May 15 update comes even more improvements have been made along with fixing some bugs.
I am wondering too , Tiebreak + what date is the annoucement I am wondering
Its all about all shots needing to curve in flight. I asked for this in AO and they added it, it then was in AO2. Most certainly then was also in TWT2.
In TIEBREAK it curves for serves and slice shots, but not at all on topspin shots, which spoils the real feel of a tennis game for me. Imagine real life Nadal not being able to bend those top spin shots down the line…
Other than that, thats all the game needs for me.
Just a couple more days until TIEBREAK+. Can’t wait! Don’t know what we are getting but I’m excited and with minimal expectations. We haven’t had an update in months, since February.
I made this bingo card let’s see if we can cross any line
The fact nothing changed in career mode - I just want to casual play with my custom player on the tour, either import them or build them up. The training is way too hard, I feel like this is such a waste of money for those that just want to have a good time and live a bit of personal fantasy.
Don’t buy unless you have a serious drive to put in time, I just am a casual gamer and I feel like this is such a disappointment. Let those who want to do this casually do it, and have a mode for those that want the challenge.
TLDR - If you want to play career mode with your own custom player and have it be casual, this is not the game for you! We can’t all be skilled!
Just two things please… Give power shots more vibration in the controller so it feels like a good power shot and release more create a player hair styles for 60’s 70’s and 80’s. What do y’all got against bangs? Lol. Every opinion is a big o clear forehead… Oh and more retro clothing.
Don’t expect any more cosmetic updates or even players as someone heard only major bugs will be looked at in the future, cannot confirm this but it is very likely.
Well the update is out. Career Mode still needs fixing but sadly nothing this time.
New modes seem fun, I did a couple of Sharapova ones. Hope they give us some more frequent patches in the coming weeks.
Here’s how the Bingo card finished Sort of new player (Jack Sock but can’t play with him only against him?). And outfits are said to be reskins of existing templates from career mode? Some chat on discord about audio and gameplay changes but it could be placebo effect. That’s why no solid crosses for those squares..
Hello everyone, I hope you’re doing well.
I’m considering purchasing this game, as I’m particularly interested in the Career Mode. However, I’ve come across several reviews mentioning issues within this mode, and some users have pointed out that certain content seems to be missing. It appears that the developers have ceased updates, considering the game complete.
For those of you who already own the game, could you please share your honest opinions? Is it still worth
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on this forum, but since the last update wasn’t generous enough for many people, I wanted to mention some essential things that I hope will see the light of day with new updates. Here’s my list, in order of importance:
- Make career mode fun! Fix the progression system, training sessions, rework press conferences, etc. Make this mode immersive. This was one of the game’s promises, and it still hasn’t been fulfilled, 9 months after its release.
- Fix gameplay bugs. Example: the strange reaction players have at the end of a point, especially when they end up near the net, as if they’re colliding with it. There also seems to be a collision bug when our player is too far back on the court.
- Add Arthur Fils, the only player missing from the top 20.
- Update the ATP players’ uniforms and statistics regularly.
- Improve translations. Example: in the French version, during the coin toss at the start of the match, you wrote “a choisi de service”. This is incorrect; it should be corrected and added “a choisi de servir”. The purpose of all the sliders also needs to be translated or better explained.
@JNT_BA Can you assure us that at least one of these things will be done?
Big Ant have one team to make 4 sports games as you can see, outside of major bugs having to be fixed Tiebreak is coming to the end of adding players and new clothes as this last patch would have had at least 2 or 3 players. Just be happy with what you got with Tiebreak as far as the largest roster of any tennis game not including Tennis Elbow 4 with it’s generic bots and the full ATP and WTA events and venues. It would have been great to have the Licenced Slams but Topspin must still have exclusive rights for now, there are some excellent Slam venues from the Community with logos to download which are better than the in game Slams. Tiebreak was never going to be a game that was going to be updated after 12 months but there is a good chance there will be Tiebreak 2 in a couple of years.
