Update 31st October

Got the small update on PS5 but have not played yet, will check out soon. Update details now up on Steam

I totally agree. I break all the opponent’s serve turn. The first thing to fix

Mike confirmed that change in the discord xD i don’t like it to be honest! Timing there was better in 31th October update imo. Easier to overpower and not as easy to aim as it is right now after the small Nov.1 Patch. It’s way to easy now to hit winners left and right like crazy with the top spin imo.

Yes it’s a real shame that in less than 24 hours they have gone away from the punishing timing, after constant request for it . Seriously just give a arcade mode for people who like it more forgiving and a pro mode for people who enjoyed the 31 st update…

I don’t understand why they did that. Instead of that they should be focusing on main flaws which Tiebreak has.

Probably people complaining that it’s now to difficult. Was predictable that it would get made easier again. If ever a game needs sliders it’s this one . By making the timing easier you put off a section of the players and by pleasing them you put off the others who were enjoying the challenge of the 31st timing. Just let people customise their own experience.

the thing is(and thats my observation reading through discord, steam, reddit and here) that it really was a minority who didn’t like the new timing but they changed it again nonetheless xD

Yea big mistake in my opinion. After weeks of people asking for more punishing timing, they finally do it and go back in 24 hours. Very disappointed…

Well this is really strange as yes i really liked the 31st Oct update yet i found this latest update really hard to get used to,i went to go to finish a match in the third set and i lost it 6-0 because i could not get the ball much further most of the time past the service line trying to power up,then after half hour i changed from looking at the power meter to really focusing on the player with swing wind up and that solved it,now i can overpower into the red and hit balls wide and long but i am still not sure if i really like it yet,i may even turn the power meter off which is not helping me. I feel the opposite that the devs are trying to cater for the hardcore for simulation but this is not the way to do it. There are too many updates at the moment and it is hard for everybody to settle into the gameplay as it changes too much.

Definitely not catering for the hardcore by reverting the timing again to easier in 24 hours .

I have just been playing more and now that i have turned off power meter and just watch the player it is easier i fully agree now, this update should be scrapped for now and go back to the 31st Oct update because the game can’t stay like this as a challenge for the better players. What made the devs change it again in less than 24 hours, who would of demanded it ?

All rallies goes in same way left right left right and who is faster win rally. Cpu ai never do dropshot or slice or attack on same side. I cant too attack in ssme side because cpu always stay in that side. Not even close to real life ralies. Boring

hello, I’m joining the forum as a long-time fan - my nickname says it all - of tennis games, and I sincerely hope that Tiebreak can establish itself as one of the best games ever, for me the best remains Top Spin 3. I agree with the positive change that took place with the 31 October patch, and the inexplicable fallback of the last mini-patch.
On the level of criticism regarding the AI, I note the ease in scoring winning points when you force the first to come to the net on one side to respond to a short ball, this almost always responds with a non deep shot and remains on one side static without repositioning in the middle and for the player the winning response on the clear side is always a winner. Dear devs add intelligence to the CPU and restore the previous patch, if your intention is a more arcade game dedicate a level, maybe the expert, to the simulative, signalling it to the public. I expect a lot from you

it’s really crazy to me because it went into the right direction with the 31th october patch and now top spin shot balance to movement is totally out of whack again! In just 24 hours ufff. Mike said in discord that they just changed load up time from 0.68 to 0.8 again…but honestly i can’t believe that this was the only change there because it feels like aiming the top spin close to the lines is easier too…not just timing! Thats so frustrating. Not to mention all the other problems like Serve/Return, Auto lock or overpowered half-volley top spin shot that are still there…plus return bombs from expert AI is back again lol.

Yea definitely the wrong direction and seems to be a knee jerk reaction probably from a few people who didn’t bother to practice for a bit to readjust. I posted on the day of the 31st update, (please don’t listen to the people who will complain about the new timing as it was so predictable). And sadly it seems they have done exactly that . Definitely needs to be a option in setting to have previous timing back as going back from yesterday patch back to current it feels even more easy now after experiencing it challenging yesterday. Hopefully the people in discord can let them know this is a bad change and to revert it back .

Hello to the forum Old Boy  yeah i agree Top Spin 3 should have been the way for 2k back in the day but they’ve went into a more casual direction with TS4 and 2k25. And yeah i agree that Tiebreak has the most potential right now from all the mainstream tennis games the last few years…this is why i am so passionate about it to really fullfill it’s potential!

Id imagine people complaining that it was actually challenging and you could miss time any shot , exactly as it should be . To go back in 24 hours was a bad move The biggest complaint this game has had since release is to easy , well make players timing harder goes a good way to address that , they do that after what 6 weeks and then go back immediately. Definitely a wrong decision and hopefully they are seeing the reaction and revert it back . Top difficulty is supposed to be hard lol …

Aj4 games has two gameplay video with the 31th update on their channel! In the comments of this Fed vs Djoko video there is a comment “i didn’t like this update so much
too many unforced error for us … they change the time buttons pressure” to which Aj4 replies “Agree” xD i am shaking my head to stuff like this. First of all it’s clearly to see that gameplay was better and more challenging in that update/build. Second: Looks like they played 2 or 3 matches and they didn’t like the challenge that comes with a more punishing timing. xD i don’t want to be that guy who disregards feedback…BUT if thats the feedback the developers listen to… I/we can’t help them xD

I sent them ticket about that. It is totally nonsense what they did. Therefore there are difficulties.

Yea I wonder how long each of them who made them comments spent in training to relearn the timing… Terrible decision and not even giving people a week say to learn the improved timing, just to change it back so quickly is a awful decision. Personally yesterday I was having good battles on expert, even getting well beat a few times,no problem my timing was poor and got destroyed, today zero incentive to play after one set of just ripping winners and winning 6 /1 quit the match and won’t be playing until it’s addressed or the option to customise the difficulty is added. Playing a match I know before I start I’ve already won is pointless and zero fun …
