Can you confirm PS and Steam are on the same build now??

Yes all the versions are now on level with each other.

Thank you for such a quick reply, just another question I’m guessing there will be future patches still, how often will you be looking at dropping them, weekly still?? :slight_smile:

There is 100% going to be more updates. As to timing it will be really when they’re ready to go across all platforms.

There are still things we’re working on and have further tuning we want to and are continuing to do.

For anyone that downloaded the update the servers were inaccessible for less than an hour, of course not ideal…

The online team scrambled well, got onto it just after midnight and fixed it.

Played my first match with the patch on PS5 (a good 58 point walloping of North Melbourne) and the game feels a lot smoother. I gave away a few 50’s, but quickly learnt how to avoid that. Handball chains are much better; few mistakes on my end as I’m used to the old system. And absolutely loving that I don’t need to make my sub in the 1st/2nd quarter now :slight_smile:
So far really liking this update - still a bit of stuck in the mud and weird stats showing, but I’m sure those are on the agenda for future patches. I’m closing in on the end of 2025 so am looking forward to signing some free agents too! Great work team!

Will all future console patches be going for external testing? Or was that just a one-off?

I’m glad the patches take effect even in management modes and you don’t have to start a new one, because I started one last night with Port while I waited for patch, played round 1 and turned off, and seen patch dropped an hour after getting off the console. So can’t wait to launch into it tonight :slight_smile:

One of my saves would crash whenever I tried to let my management team sort out the contracts, haven’t had a chance to review it since the patch - is that sorted?

I did log the crash through PS5.

I really like the update to the Radial Player Switching (L! + Right Stick). Being able to flick to other players is much better than the previous hold, move, release method.

I haven’t got that far since this patch (currently at Round 23 with finals to come), but didn’t have the issue leading into this season when I launched it about a week ago and relied on my team to even out the contracts. Will check in a few days whenever I wrap up this season - but I’d imagine it may fall under the contracting fixes

Good job with the new patch updates for ps4/ps5 big ant and ross! Im still noticing though that player positions are all over the place i was playing a match and one of my midfielders were playing in the defence not sure if its something you guys have looked at but yeah i thought it was a bit odd

Downloading the patch now. Can’t wait. One big issue for me is being rewarded for tackles with holding the ball free kicks. Has this been fixed?

First post, on any forum!!

Played 3 games post the last update, I found it much better than the previous patch. I play on hard and win a bit easy but find it the best way to work stuff out.

There seems to be many different opinions of this game in relation to what works what doesn’t and so on.

Some of my opinions, this will be a bit long. :grinning:

Stuck in the mud? If I hand ball to a player that is flat footed and don’t move the left stick before the ball gets to the receiver then I’ll get a stoppage, this would be what would happen in real life. Of course if i hand ball to a moving player i need to do the same thing, have the left stick ready to go, the receiver will keep moving.

Handballs going in the wrong direction, yes when i move the left stick the wrong way or not at all because I didn’t get time. I have very rarely missed a handball when i get it right, sometime short but probably because I didn’t or couldn’t hold the button long enough. In real life you don’t actually need much time so BigAnt could look at this (same with kicking, probably take to much time to get a kick away)

Some game play I think is still not right.

When tackling the AI they seem to have the ability to find a team mate almost every time, i very rarely get the ball away, when i do it is random on where the ball goes, probably how it should be.

Marking is one dimensional, it should be like the the contest you have when rucking on a boundary throw in or a stoppage bounce. Just timing a button press is a bit limited, should be more to the success or failure to take a mark.

There are some umpire decisions I don’t think are correct that go both ways, every time i watch a real game that happens :grinning:
