BA (I think) use an algorithm on champion data to decide the rating. If true Jack would have to come back and play worse footy for half a season for the rating to change.
I wonder when they next will change ratings, Im in a fantasy AFL26 league on discord and have to do 6 delistings, Ive delisted my lowest 5 rated players (who werent randomly delisted) Sam Butler, Matthew Johnson, Jeremy Sharp, Josh Draper and Malcolm Rosas but can not figure out who to delist between Payne and Matthew Roberts
I reckon they must have, I mainly play pro team ladder leaders, & some premiership challenge but specifically against the hard & hardest difficulty, the ai make some great little plays and the contests feel much more realistic etc.
Iām enjoying the game so much more lately, really my main criticism in terms of gameplay is lack of tactics, would be good if you could be abit more in depth with positioning and the ārolesā of players etc. Also stamina drainage or something is another, alot of my players who havenāt even been near the ball much wonāt be able to sprint and itās halfway through the first qtr. & ai never missing the goals within 50m, on the run or while being tackled.
Every season thereās 5 new ladder leaders, but this season thereās only 4 @JNT_BA you fellas forgot to add another one this season? 
Are there still plans to release a version for Nintendo Switch 2?
Has there always been thunderstorms in the game ?
I played a match today for the first time in a while in pouring rain and there was huge crashes of thunder throughout the match, honestly made for a pretty epic atmosphere.

Really hoping for a big update for 2026. Manual marking and goal kicking would be great, BA.
Felt like the most recent update made AI a bit better, been playing career mode with a single player and watching the AI bring the ball from def 50 to fwd 50 was pretty damn smooth.
The current marking system, which feels way too predetermined but at the same time random, still drives me crazy. the lack of physicality really stands out

Whatās the best way to request a new feature around here? I canāt believe we still donāt have a filter for player number considering how prominent player numbers are in pro team objectives. I waste so much time trying to find a player of a specific number. Iām not going to hold out hope though - Marvel stadium still has windā¦
i noticed that instead of fixing their state filters for players they just removed them completely. Modern problems require modern solutions yeah?

In-game injuries have been a thing since day one but I think theyāve added more over time. Calf and hammy injuries that saw the player getting subbed out were pretty common but Iāve seen a player injure his hand once, he kept playing but was nursing the injured hand for the rest of the game.

What does everyone have the ai modifiers set to to make the game more realistic playstyle
I posted sliders months ago but since I posted that they have definitely been changing the game behind the scenes. Itās playing heaps better and once they dedicate some more time throughout the upcoming season for game updates it will only get better.

When are we getting a new big update with 2026 fixtures and 2026 team lists, new draft picks etc.?
Hoping they add cinematic cut scenes between whistles during gameplay not just after goals, make it feel more like tv

Donāt need cut scenes but with the on field umpires Iād just like them to acknowledge things like
- Arms in the air play on
- Holding the ball signal
- Crossing the arms for ball ups
- Pointing when free kicks awarded
- Boundary umpires pointing where ball goes out for the new out of bounds rules
Just a subtle detail you see on screen which makes the game feel a bit more authentic.
Even a small detail in their current cut scene with the umpires walking out and raising the match ball in the air, just play a siren sound affect over the top.
