PS5 - Competition Game Crashes - Adding players to Squads

Kicking ball out on a full, opposing team plays the ball back on half way.

Player stats. Saab, Hammer, Koula, weeks Savage, Khan Pieria(didn’t spell check) all need to be nearly un catchable and not get run down by forwards. So a whole over haul needs doing.

Holding the pass button needs to slow the player down and not speed up.

Interchange menu needs to be enlarged.

In game stats- you only get to know who scored the tries and kicked conversions. Theres not MOTM or any other stat.

Short kick off, bounces over the 40m bounces back and players just stand there and not get the ball. The ball went 10 so they should be playing the ball.

Pausing game occasionally stops commentary, pause and un pause brings it back.

PS5 - Competition Game Crashes - Adding players to Squads Ticket #32932
Game crashes occur when you have added any licensed players or custom players from other teams into any club. Once you start a competition mode and put one or several of these players into a starting lineup the match will crash once you ready to play and the opening teams run out.
It’s happened multiple times to me with different teams that had players added to the squad.

I have had this problem with passing to Wingers, same exact process and outcome.
When you’re running at the opposition winger with your centre, your winger will start to come behind you and if you try to pass to them it will go straight out. Wish this could be reworked so they don’t come behind til there is no space left on the outside.
Are you sure the Mick Ennis commentary line wasn’t actually McInnes? As in Cameron McInnes.
I was just playing a game against Cronulla and thought his pronunciation made it sound like he was saying Mick Ennis.

In any case that would mean it was commentary for the wrong player in the wrong team
Leichhardt Oval is spelt wrong on the board behind the goalposts. Also the hill only has like 12 people on it.

- Nitpick: Souths jerseys incorrect - in game they are even hoops, in reality they’re predominantly green with thinner red hoops (2:1 or 3:2, our current ones are closer to 3:2)
- Nitpick: Siren is not official NRL sound despite now having the official 6 Again sounds
- Regression: Aforementioned stadium rotation issues where the field is 180 degrees wrong (facing away from real life camera position)
- Bug: LB+stick cycles through players but when releasing LB it reverts back to previous or closest player
- Regression: No half indicator on scoreboard graphics
- Regressions: lack of customisation for field markings, referees or match type rules.
- Bug: tackle count reset after injury as mentioned
- Bug: 6 again rule doesn’t maintain an advantage for current play to revert for penalty if infringing team take possession. Same in Rugby 25 where an advantage seems to disappear immediately if the infringing team gets possession.
- Regression: quick PTB and holding in tackle have been nerfed. The game feels like it has to wait for both lines to be ready and doesn’t allow for catching opposition off guard or allowing defence to retreat.
- Regression: balls bobbling off other players no longer detected as knock ons or tackle count resets
- Regression: referee gets stuck in attacking line in “assist” position from 2-ref era rather than running through to defensive line
- Regression (from Rugby 25 at least): Less jersey creator options in manufacturers and can’t copy/paste colours with LB/RB. Not sure why this was removed or couldn’t be ported. HSB/HSL colour picker is an improvement and should be backported to R25 IMO.
I haven’t had this happen to me yet but I’m wondering if the bug from Live 4 has been carried over where a 40/20 kick is given even if corner post is hit. In reality that should be a 20m restart with 7 tackle set

I have scored many 70+ metre tries with props online. The consistency of player speeds definitely needs a look at.
I also think the game would benefit from the attacking players being more aggressive with their running and slightly more flat from moment the hooker picks up the ball.
Do drag tackles seem to not work for anyone else or is it just me?
Drag tackles seemed to work for me by holding LT and using right stick. Actually drove a player into touch with that

- Can’t select “resume” at HT online
- Wingers don’t catch cut out balls

When you played at NRL HQ were you able or encouraged to give feedback? If so, what was the response to some of the glaring issues that I am sure you experienced?

Oh true! I guess you also didn’t have a whole lot of time to sit and analyse either.
Just watching the stream ATM and noticing the clock starts at 39:59, not 40:00. Also, you’re completely correct that there is no Bunker “Try” signal in the NRL anymore but imagine the controller smashing if the game gives you a try and then is like “nah”. Super League and non-NRL still use the “try” live decision signal though.

Not sure about other stadiums but suncorp stadium has the on field markings on the wrong side and facing the wrong way. NRL logo etc should be on the side where the tunnels and benches are.
Kicked off out on the full the other team got the ball back on my 40m line.
Why can’t I even start the game on a PS4? It attempts to ‘sign-in’ and then says ‘error signing in’ before looping me back to Home Screen to press’x’ to then unsuccessfully attempt to sign-in again…

Have had a quick glance throughout both threads so not sure if I’m repeating the same stuff. Sorry if so.
About a week ago I played RLL4 and assured myself the bugs in that would be fixed. I was dreadfully wrong.

The halfback still goes to the wing if your 5th tackle is near the sidelines. If not he will often stand directly behind the ruck?!

The players are all in the opposite positions.

Players seem to have the fitness levels of a sloth?!

The referee whistle being blown twice at kick off or when a try is scored. Often he’ll teleport back to the 50 and blow the whistle again. Crazy how this made it through.
On top of that are some fascinating new bugs that just leave me scratching my head.

Are some of the stadiums the wrong way around? Played at MJ Stadium and looked like the tunnel was on the complete wrong side.

Don’t think I can mention anything on the hooker that hasn’t be said. One of the MOST annoying bugs in the release build.

I’ve noticed in online H2H that Vossy will continuously be wrong with the tackle count. Often one behind the actual count.

Fending with forwards is far too easy online. I’m often breaking the line almost every hit up with just a simple fend.

The ball just randomly being sent 50 meters in the opposite direction in some tackles. While funny with friends it would be frustrating as hell against randoms.
