I’m a PS4 user too (I don’t imagine there are too many of us!).
Unfortunately this game requires an internet connection at all times (a feature I, personally, don’t like at all). If you’re connected up to it as you load the game, then I don’t know what might be causing your issue, but if you haven’t been connected up, then I hope I’ve helped with your solution!
Not at the moment! Haha! They were a lot easier several months and heap of updates ago.
They then introduced a visible kicking meter (which to me goes so fast up then down) and now I don’t seem to get them anymore. I played a couple of games earlier this evening and I had a crack at a field goal (2mins left in the game, up by 12, 15m out right in front … why not!). Ball barely cleared the defender’s head, went under the crossbar, caught in goal on the full by the fullback.
So no, no tips from me just yet..! I know it’s all about timing, but I’ve not had a chance to properly work them out yet.
Big ant Can u tweak things so we get access to game sliders thru pausing a match and going into settings. Rather than backing outta games everytime to access them, and also a rematch option at the end of games. So we can restart with new sliders tweakd
Big ant I really enjoy rl26 but since the recent sliders no matter what I do even on regular difficulties (no sliders) big hits and drive tackles have gone crazy. Every second tackle knocks the ball free they need to be nerfed please
I’m trying to find a difficulty setting that is essentially veteran with less big hits and drive tackles. I’ve reduced big hit success to 0. Big hit ratio to 0 and big hits-into-knock ons are still happening in attack and defence.
I think we’re in for a few months of “custom difficulties adjusted” in patch notes.
Only problem I’m finding with lowering defensive aggression, once the defence aggression is lowered I’m finding although it does help slightly with time with the ball in attack before defence gets to you , I sat my controller down and without even touching it watched 4 tacklers each slide off my player who was standing still?
Hopefully big ant keep patching some issues for us
Yea very weird, because in earlier build the defender would join in and help turn the player to cause the ball to be held up. I even remember giving a tip to a player (that holding the left shoulder key seemed to help the defense come in tighter so that it would protect against the 1 on 1 drive over try, the most annoying and least satisfying try on both side of the ball, when the AI does it and when the user does it. Come on Big Ant, thanks for the sliders but fix this already, I am sure most of us are tired of seeing this drive over 1 vs 1 try, does not matter if by the user or AI either way, it is the most predictable and boring try ever. If there is a way to more likely add a second defender to stop this then please let us know, although I doubt it because I can score the same try on the AI. Please fix this Big Ant, and thank again for the sliders.
I kicked a ball out over the dead ball line from the kickoff and the restart was from my 40 metre line.
Everytime you are near the sideline defending a kick your player takes it into touch. This happened 5 times in the first half.
The opposition kicked the ball straight into the hands of their own player coming back onside in an offside position and it was play on.
Long balls are over the sideline or flying over the intended player into open space on a regular basis.
CPU last play kicks have gone back to the short crap they were a month or so ago.
The game was just starting to get better and now some of the old bugs are raising their heads again.
Still can’t use custom game settings.
Still can’t play a custom comp with 17 teams.
Pity i was starting to enjoy it again.
Update
The game just finished with the ball in flight from a line dropout even though the siren went off after the kick.
On a good note though. No more defenders retreating back beyond the dead ball line before coming forward.
A request as well if you read these. When or if we ever get to play a custom comp with 17 or more teams can you also allow us to set our own rules. For example turn off 40/20s etc, 7 tackle sets, 6 agains so we can play some old school 80 minute footy.
I opened a pack and got Payne Haas rated 95. I also decided to purchase the same card in auction on the cheap in order to flip.
Soon as i placed the purchased card to resell, my original payne haas card became inactive. Shows in my line up however not in my player inventory. When i try to launch a game, it advises me payne hass is inactive.
How do i get my card to become active again. I have a few that are like this with other players to
Update: Selling the auction one didn’t restore properly; buying another swapped what was active and one disappeared.
I lodged ticket #42179 close to five days ago and I’m still awaiting a reply. Given this relates to paid in-game currency, could you please provide an update or timeframe for resolution?
If I don’t receive a response soon, I may need to escalate through other channels.
Thanks for the latest update regarding the support players..definitly a step in the right direction..
with the set plays can you please add a slider or switch where we can alter the randomisation of the plays every tackle even to the point where they are not random at all they stay where we leave them? I feel it’s so random to the point where all the players are running around all over the shop. a simple fix of lessening or completely ridding the random changes of the plays would completely change the offence and be a simple but major change

Did anyone else not get the rewards for playing in the “The Smiths” comp. Was meant to be a powerhouse pack for winning or something. There seems to be a bug with the attendance at the stadiums. its showing a full crowd but only 5k attendace in a 25k stadium. and almost no crowd at other stadiums and a full sellout attendace at the games end. Ive got the crowd size set to realistc - based on club members. and the club members far passes the maximum capacity of the ground.
