Apparently the servers will be back up at 8pm Australian time

No still can’t get on still coming up with error for the past few hours why do we even need to be signed in to play anyways it makes no sense quick enough to take all our money for the game tho

Hi big ant,

I have a few issue that are very annoying, it makes the game non reliant and I know that the game has been out for only 2 days but I hope you can take this message into an idea to help the game, first issue.

1.when you play the ball it takes a while for the dummy hafe to get to the ball and it sometimes is an advantage to the other team and it makes the game non reliant and makes it hard sometimes to get a good play because it always the team to get off the line way quicker, adding on to this issue when you hold the player down the whole team looks at you and they don’t get onside this is a little issue but I still think this would be a good fix.

  1. When you open a pack it always says error I know this is probably only temporary but it still would help some much and save a lot of time so you don’t have to try to keep opening them again.

  2. I know this one isn’t a fix but a good addition to opening packs would be to show the colour/colours of the card and put them on the lightning strucks so than you know if you got a good player or not to see if you get excited or not.

There are also some more bugs but I can’t name the whole list of them but I hope this helps if you need anymore ideas or advice I can help.

Changing team line up in menu before game (competition mode) crashes every time you go to start the game - PS4

Play the ball always so slow that there’s no advantage of breaking advantage line …

Was super hyped for the game but unfortunately under delivers in almost all aspects.
1 the game has signed me out and I can no longer sign back into the game it just gets stuck on the first screen.
2 players catching the ball standing still.
3 kicking tacking to long and almost always getting tackled before kicking the ball.
4 tackling feels horrible and needs a tackle button with timing.
5 players positions wrong.
6 games against the CPU are terrible unless playing on the easiest difficulty then you win 60-0
7 it’s a $90 game
8 every player from FB to FR plays the same.
9. Player ratings are way off.
10. No explanation for game mechanics. Like the arrow buttons do something in attack but I don’t know what they are.
11. Commentary is worse that RL2
12. Big ant not knowing the rules before making a game.
13. Every dive try going to the bunker.
14. Dummy half fall over try animation.

And plenty more.

Online Leaderboard needs to be fixed it makes no sense

This is a massive issue and needs urgent attention.

Other team scored a try while I had the ball
I was running towards my tryline with possession, yet they were awarded a try.

Kicking is broken

Field goals and grubber kicks are impossible to aim

Very hard to get a kick away on the last tackle — not enough time.

Player speed balance is off
Some forwards are way faster than backs, which makes no sense.

In-game rules are inconsistent or broken

Needs a serious review of how rules are applied.

No option to challenge a ref’s call

This feature should be added urgently.

I don’t want a refund — I truly want to support Big Ant and thank you for bringing out a new game.

However, there’s a lot of work to be done:

Multiple patches and updates are essential.

Please prioritise fixing the online leaderboard and other core gameplay issues first.

  • NRL referee kits in Super League/Challenge Cup/Other games.
  • The only field markings that show in any game mode are NRL Legend or whatever it’s called. Where’s the option to choose pitch markings like in RLL4?
  • The classic 'tackled player falls over the line for an unavoidable try" is still glaringly present.
  • Swapping players in a competition lineup leads to a crash of the game.
  • Many stadiums names say they’re in the totally wrong city/location.
  • No referee voice for tackle counts.
  • The hooker is miles away from the play the ball.
  • Half backs still stand out wide near the wings/behind the ruck on last tackles, makes kicking near impossible.
  • I saw a video ref decision online where the ball didn’t even cross the line but they awarded the try.
  • Commentators saying the wrong name for a stadium. Called Old Trafford Leigh Sports Village!
  • No difference in speed between forwards and backs.
  • Fatigue is overly emphasised, most backs don’t need substituting in a real game. Rotation normally only involves forwards unless there’s an injury. Speaking of which…
  • In the 4 games I played yesterday, there were three injured players. All the same injury!
  • Pitches seem the wrong way around, subs stand on the opposite side.
  • A slider to alter game speed would be GOLDEN.
  • Then in-game sub HUD is MINISCULE!

On PS5 there are several trophies that arent popping.
I have meet the requirements for these trophies several times and still they do not pop.

[Golden Boot] Kick 100 conversions across all matches
[Here, You Have It] Perform 100 offloads to receivers across all matches
[We Are The Champions] Win an NRL or Super League Premiership competition
[Unstoppable] With one team go through an NRL or Super league season without conceding a loss

When playing with the away side in play now, doesnt allow to confirm side so you can confirm the home side line up

Sure it has been mentioned before somewhere, but in career mode I extended a bunch of contracts pre season and even tried to sign a few lads. Then before the first game of the season I exited career. When I went back it had forgotten all the contract extensions I had done … as if it did not actually save at the point when exiting career?

I’m having what seems to be a unique issue.

When I go to play quick match, online match the only teams I can play as is “Home Broncos”, “Away Panthers” these are the teams that I played as the first “quick game” I played as abit of fun while pro teams was down. Has anyone had this issue?

Just versed someone online and they were able to change their team.

100% agree, the most fun I’ve had is seeing all the stats and seeing the Dally M leaderboard and progressing a player from U20s to NSW Cup to NRL. Pretty sad but I guess I’ll be going back to a modded RLL3

Changes needed for Rugby League 26

After waiting over 12 hours from the game’s official launch time until the game actually became playable on my Xbox, I was only able to try out a couple of games. While it’s not too dissimilar from Rugby League Live 4, I have noticed some things that need changing.

  • Player ratings - some of the ratings are ridiculous. I like some ratings (e.g. Farnworth and Crichton being 3 higher than any other centres), but some are outright ridiculous (e.g. Hastings having a higher rating than all but four halfbacks, Eisenhuth being joint-second highest rated lock). Most of the ratings are around where I’d expect them to be, but those ones are horribly wrong and at least 10 ratings too high each
  • Dummy half - if you’ve played any of this game, you’d realise the dummy half situation is absolutely broken. Half the time, the runner plays the ball and the dummy half is still two or three seconds away from getting there. This isn’t an exaggeration, they’re genuinely that far away. This needs to be fixed, the flow of the game is horrific with this bug
  • Pro Team - the main reason I bought this game was for the Pro Team mode. As an Xbox user, I haven’t been able to log into this game mode yet, so I can’t say anything in particular that needs fixing, just everything does so far.
  • Stats - one thing I loved in RLL4 was looking at the stats mid-game. If I was having some fun on Rookie, I’d like seeing how many tackles I’ve broken as Tom Trbojevic, how many line breaks JT has made. This game doesn’t even give the option to look at these stats after full time, and there’s no ‘player of the match’ to be found
  • In game substitutions - when I was playing RLL4, I liked being able to make subs while I was defending without pausing the game. This makes multiplayer less frustrating, but I used it in single player too when I got into a rhythm. The same way of substituting players is ridiculously small in Rugby League 26 to the point that it’s actually illegible. I took one look at it and gave up because I couldn’t read any of the names.
  • Womens RL - I played one game of NRLW and noticed the game length was still ‘80 mins’. This isn’t a huge deal, just an annoying one, but it would be nice to see the games the correct length in the future.
  • Realistic substitutions - I was playing my Mark Nicholls career mode (don’t lie we’ve all been there) and when I got subbed off, I was pleased to notice that you can actually request to be substituted back on. What I was disappointed to learn, however, was that I would be going on to replace Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow. Because why wouldn’t one of the slowest men in the NRL be replacing Hammer at fullback.
  • Wind markers - unless I’ve missed something, this game didn’t have any wind markers. RLL4 had great wind markers across the ground whenever you kicked the ball, and unless I’m missing something, this game doesn’t seem to have any wind.
  • Draws in finals - after simming a finals series, I’ve learned that finals matches can end in draws. I don’t know how it is possible for a sudden death game to end in a draw, but this game manages it
    • ⁠Most players having Fullback as their second position
    • ⁠Cleary playing 6 for the Panthers because Schneider is the next best half
    • ⁠The Sharks reserves Puru twins being mixed up (Hohepa is a lock/prop and his twin is a half but the game has the opposite)
    • ⁠Sometimes the game will have you play the ball on the halfway line after an error…
    • ⁠The dummy half glitch where they stand straight up and the markers split leaving a wide open gap to run through to the fullback.
    • ⁠The stamina for fullbacks, halves and hookers needs to be way higher.
    • ⁠The speed difference is not enough, most of the time props are running down wingers, making a break is easy, but scoring past the fullback is near impossible, the whole team is onside the next play.
    • ⁠Kicks hitting players is classed as a charge down only for the user controlled team, if I kick the ball and it hits the opposition the tackle count never restarts

From that small update.

All I can see that’s changed is.

If the ball goes out the opposition is now getting a scrum where the ball went out not getting taken up to the halfway line for a play the ball.

The interchange dpad is a lot bigger now, used to need a magnifying glass to read it. Still needs to incorporate the players stamina in it. It sucks to have the interchange on the run without a clear showing on how the player is tracking and whether to interchange or not.

The general play seems a little different can’t explain it.

Would love to see more focus on game patching, everyone’s excited about pro team but not something I’m fussed about

Not sure what else has been changed?

Was hoping this patch would’ve fixed a few of the bugs but seems like there’s still a few that needs to be taken care of. So far, the main change I’ve seen was the D-Pad interchange menu being enlarged (thank goodness) but haven’t really got around to see anything else. The ones that are still in play are:

1 - L1+R1 to fullback doesn’t work, it switches to the ruck/closest player to the attacker

2 - L1+Right Joystick player switch still doesn’t work (same issue as number one)

3 - Interchange menu doesn’t show the stamina percentage, yet shows a number 1 for the bench players? Idk what it stands for

4 - No match stats when the game is paused. Even at half time and full time there’s nothing apart from Tries - Conversions - Field Goals. Would be cool if you could implement the fantasy point system which determines the MOTM like in past League Live Games.

5 - No Team Management option at Half Time, making you wait to do interchanges in the second half.

6 - The dummy half still isn’t pre determined after each tackle. (Like the dummy half is at the ruck at the last second majority of the time, unlike past games where it’d either be the closest Centre or Fullback or Halve already at the tackle breakdown. In this game, the player picking up the ball in the ruck leaves the attacker at a disadvantage from what I’ve seen, as some of the passes thrown lead to forward passes. Please just bring whatever you guys did in LL4 for this situation as it worked perfectly.

7 - Let’s say you make a break and you get tackled from the back but are able to make an offload. Sometimes when you take the opportunity and offload it, some of the attacking side is back thinking that the player has been tackled, leaving only one or two support players. (I know it’s normal for it to happen, but it feels more worse than it should be)

Hopefully you guys could take care of these issues sometime soon.

• Please fix the stamina in the game. Stamina runs out way too quickly in the game, in all game modes. Either reduce the stamina loss or boost the recovery.. most players are gassed after just making a few tackles, breaks, etc

Idea: After half time, all players have their stamina bumped to 100, as they have been rested. Or after every stopped play ie after a try or a ball out of play, players staminas are increased to compensate the high energy loss.

Currently the players maintain their stamina levels from the game with no regeneration post half time and there is minimal regeneration throughout the game.

It’s expected that 2nd rowers, hookers, halfbacks, 5/8’s and outside backs can play the full 80.. but in game, most get gassed by halftime.

• AI can take players closer to D Line that player controlled people

• AI has less occurance of forward passes, some do not even get noticed. Player controlled has less occurance of offload, hand offs, and can not pass as close to AI players

• Player receiver appears to move towards pass slowing play and passing

• When on Opposition try area players can not pass fast enough or as fast as AI in the same situation

Generally the speed is not there which means the reactive element is not there which is why the timing seems off. It is like the game defence design was made to be beaten with reactions but the attack players can not respond quick enough to do so

Just to add, women’s super league as a career mode is basically unplayable. Due to the high ratings with low salary caps, the best players are signing for NRLW instantly and WSL clubs don’t have the money to retain them when realistically, only a few of them would be able to compete in the NRLW. Also, a lot of ages and positions are incorrect for WSL.

the main issues for me are the dummy half/ hooker at the play the ball…selecting defenders using bumpers/stcik..and the camera zoom during online matches…pro team and stats/cosmetics can wait…these things are main problems
