Career Mode Feedback, Bugs & Ideas (2025 Wishlist)

This is my wishlist for Career Mode. Anything I missed? Any other requests? Let us know what else can be done in Career Mode.

1. H2H Information Graphics - Screenshot mock attached - obviously they can do it much better, just giving an idea for placement and information. It would make the Career Mode so much more immersive! We already track all the stats in “My Career” mode - it shows all your myPlayer matches, scores and stats. The idea / request is just showing it in the H2H screen before a match starts - reminder if you played each other before or new matchup. It’s a big storyline in real ATP/WTA tennis (h2h records), and refreshes your memory about your rivalries
   

   

2. H2H Storylines / Activity Feed - The Activity Feed now is a little bland. Nothing super amazing information. You can use those H2H to create story lines. Some cool things to see down the road would be “Player improves head to head record against XYZ by beating them in the 3rd round of Paris tournament” or “High serve % lands player the win”. Or “Last year runner up claims trophy this time”. Actually using the stats from the match and career to tell more of a story would be amazing but I understand not high priority.
   

   

3. Community Players in Career Mode - Can we get the option to import Community Players in existing Career Mode? It’s been a big request from me to get newly added players to the game added to existing Career Modes. Because it’s too long to grind your own career, collect animations, memories / rivalries and resetting it to have a new player. For example if they add Adrian Mannarino to the game with licensing I have to start over a new Career to play against him in tournaments. But if I can import from Community Files I can play him in existing career. It should make sense since we can already use Community Logos in clothing for myPlayer Career Mode
   

   

4. Smarter Travel Fatigue - Right now as you plan your months, it assumes travel fatigue in the city where you are. I’ll give an example to explain better. My player is in Brisbane now for Week 1. Then in Week 6 I want to play Dallas Open - Travel Fatigue 51% - makes sense, it’s a long travel. But then in Week 7 I want to schedule to play Delray Beach and it shows 56% travel fatigue. Shouldn’t it be much less because it’s in the same region - from Dallas Open to Delray Beach?

5. Transition Loading Screen Cache - the athlete displayed on the transition loading screen doesn’t change once you launch career mode. The expected behavior is to change between different players, but once you get into career mode, it “caches” to 1 player and stays the same until you quit the game. I know it changes because of how it works when I played online or do training or random matches and go to settings page.

6. Tournament Serve Speed and Match Time - the 250 tournament in Brisbane the serve speed is not working. Right after serve and the speed keeps showing 000. Also, the match time is stuck at 0:00. Highlighted the end of the 2nd game of the match is underway and clock still shows 0:00. I’m not sure if this is in many other tournaments, I just noticed on my new 2nd Year Career Mode save.
   

   

7. Players Awkward Bounce After 2nd Serve - I reported this a ticket for Big Ant and it got fixed but the bug is back. It only happens after the first serve is missed (player or AI)

8. Remember Return Position - I didn’t think this happened before but it would be nice if the game remembers your return position. It looks like it defaults to a certain spots even if you adjusted.

9. Reputation - still does not work. I’ve had more press conferences and no matter what I choose the scale doesn’t change and I don’t see or feel an impact of press conference or answers.
   

   

10. CPU Return Position - it changes based on the serve you select. Especially when you pick “Slice” serve, the CPU moves. The CPU shouldn’t know where you will serve, I feel it hurts realism of the game and keeping CPU honest.

11. My Career tab - Screenshot attached in Career Mode, “My Player” tab and “My Career” page. Change the “Round” text for when you win to say “Champion”? Because right now I have tournaments where I won and where I reached the final and both say “Final”. The only way I can tell is looking at the Points (highlighted in screenshot). Also ability to sort and filter by Tournament, Round, Points. It would be cool at the end of the season to sort by Points Descending and see where you got most of your points. Also idea to add a column for “Category” - Challenger, 250, 500, 1000, Grand Slam, Charity. And then you can filter on that maybe.
    

    

12. Inconsistent Prize Money and Ranking points - There’s ATP tournaments where you go far (QF, SF) and prize money is only $100. It is surely a bug? And the Points awarded are a bit off and don’t align with the ITF rules - https://www.itftennis.com/media/2213/atp-and-wta-points.pdf … Semi final of a Masters 1000 should award 360 points but below it’s giving me 20 points
    

    

13. Rankings Concerns - I’m not monitoring this super closely but I’m not sure the rankings are accurate. Griekspoor won Brisbane tournament Week 1 but in Week 2 his ranking is the same. Also, it shows for everyone +/- change of 0 which I’m not sure is possible. Yes not everyone played that tournament in Week 1, but I scrolled up and down and it is 0 for all. I know Medvedev played it and he had no change. Also the “Tournaments Played” should reset at the start of the new year etc. Other inconsistencies I’d be very thankful if they look at regarding Rankings. I like that the player age changes YoY!
    

    

14. More Options for Player Customization - for example facial hair is very limiting. I see some ATP players with a stubble beard, very short facial hair (Tommy Paul, Stefanos Tsitsipas) but I can’t apply that style to myPlayer. Also add the existing real player outfits to as options to myPlayer and then edit and change them would be nice.

15. Inconsistent Charity Matches - For example “Rally Against Racism” was Best of 3 sets (6 games per set) but “Set for Everything” was Best of 3 sets (4 games per set). Can the scoring be specified somewhere for each Charity Tournament so you know how long it will take?

16. Other Small / Vague and already reported requests - Stuff like being able to upgrade Star player in Career Mode. Adding more explanations to features like Reputation, better Slider descriptions. At the end of the tournament - in the Career Menu where it says who won the tournament - would be cool to see who they beat in the final and the score

@JNT_BA Can someone please try to play 2-3 seasons so you can see what needs to be done? At least we need to be insured that the Career mode will come with a big change soon, or else its no use leveling up and play this game.

Nice Ideas , H2H is one I really would like to see.

What I also would like to see is a ball marker. Specially at the training sessions I do miss it and sometimes makes these sessions for me unable to do. Aiming seems so random to me and a marker would help me to see how the marking works.
What I also would like is track conditions , temperature , humidity and for venues outside the windforce. Temperature and humidity should also have an effect on the players and the windforce on the ball.

There is still a not good working community venue . If you have this in the setting on “ÿes” then the slams and charity events are not played on the right courts. I have noticed that when I want to download a venue the search engine does not work properly. The best way to search is place name. I also noticed that you can download the venues designed for AO2 and maybe even for AO1. So it is a shame that you can’t use these community venues at the slams.

I would like to choose my own celebrations during the match but especially at the end of the match when I have won. I hate the one there is now where I bend over and show the crowd my …

Also a thing that they still haven’t fixed is the visibility of the ball at the replays. I can hardly see the ball and sometimes not at all.

Another thing is the introducing cinematic scenes when you start a new career. It was nice the first time , and maybe the second time. But when you have to watch an wait to the end for the fifth time it really gets so boring that this alone would be a reason not to start a new career ever again. Make it possible to skip this and just let us create a player and start playing.

I tried and there is a big problem with community/created players : the most of them disappear at the beginning of the second season… I have reported the bug but non answer from big ants. This is very frustrating when, like me, you spent many hours to recreate most of top 80-90-00 players to enjoy the greatest tennis carrer of all time.
