I’ve found the same in player career. You about batting and bowling being scripted. Before patch I was picking up wickets at start of rookie career fairly easily. Which was fine as it makes playing for local team bearable before getting promoted to a county team. After patch i started a new career. now even tailenders slap me around the ground. Only time i get a wicket is if i C&B. Fielder after fielder drops catches. LBWs that are plum don’t get given out. Only edges are top edges of short balls that go for 4/6. Or from Yorkers that never carry.
So i decided to try starting another career. Playing as a fast bowling all rounder. But I selected the option to have highest increased attributes. Which pretty much maxes out every bowling attribute( 90+ ) except Yorker/bouncer and cross seam. So I’m bowling 90-100Mph seamers and swingers at and around off stump. And Ai tailenders with little to no batting attributes would make Travis Head envious with their shot play. My bowling starts are 30ish average. Strike rate of 60ish and run rate of 4-5.
so in my humble opinion. The game is now heavily scripted to result in realistic stats. Regardless of player and Ai attributes. Also this seems to apply to whatever Ai difficulty level or custom sliders. As I’ve played around with them and they make little to no difference
@MattW Not sure if anyone has reported this yet. When playing Test Chamionship, there is not Stats on the Championship screen. It keeps saying complete a match to see the statistics despite completing many matches,
I think spin bowling is a little too strong right now.
All-round off break bowler, bowling difficulty hardest, AI difficulty is Veteran since that actually plays spin even better than Legend. AI timing at 75, run rate at 20, pitch is dry and hard, career average of 6.8, average in the current year I am up to is 4.4 runs per wicket. I am tearing through every single team I bowl to, I am leading the wickets in every league I play in bowling a part timers amount of overs, at this rate I will bowl nathan lyon into retirement by myself
Updated with the New Patch ,Played After It, Still there is No Change In Shot Power and Elevation For sixes, Sixes Are Nearly Impossible To Hit on hard And even on medium on bigger Grounds , Unorthodox Shot Are Same As Earlier , no use of Playing them
Yeah I went back to cricket 24 as well, it’s frustrating to see them ignore the batting issues again & again
It was perfect on first day, it has been completely ruined to the point, you don’t even want to play the game, no point with all those batting stances if we can’t even hit big shots

Still Some Issues From other department Are Still there .
. Batting Style 7 (Gill’s Style) - the glance ,Straight Drive and Other Shot Animation Breaks and glitches a lot of times while playing the shot .
. the Unorthodox shots Are Not going for sixes, Atleast The Best Batter should have the Potential to clear the field easily If the Ball Timed Well by them it should be set As It was Earlier . The Slog sweep and slog toward Cowcorner should Went to the Boundary when its Connected Ideally . the Ramps and Scoops Should Work and Travel for sixes Against Pacer atleast
. Elevated Sixes And Powerful lofted Strikes are Not there , No matter What the timing is, I Got Ideal ×3 , Still Got Caught Out Ahead Of the boundary .
. Spin Bowling Is Way too Overpowered in theEven if We Are Batting Or Bowling and No matter if its Flat Pitch Or Rank turner .
@MattW Same issues I am also facing please fix the shot force issue in limited overs. Even on 3 ideal lofted shots are just not travelling like they should and also please improve the AI batting intent when chasing a target.
I removed Agar from Australia and Bairstow from England, which worked fine.
But after I restarted the game later both were back in the original teams.
Are we only allowed to add to those licensed teams and not remove licensed players?
Also, Maxwell bat is in game now. But Maxwell still has his kookaburra bat, no way of assigning to him, even if you delete and default him. Just deletes him from his teams. When you restart the game he is back in default teams.
Same for a lot of licensed players with cadastral bats etc. On Ps5.
Just got the update cause not been on today and if you remove players and then restart they’re back in the teams. So we can’t actually edit teams at all still
Just got the new update with the JK bats. Very nice. Only problem is can’t assign to Jake Weatherald, as he’s locked with generic big ant bat.
Same with Maxwell after yesterday update, sent a ticket explaining and they sent a screenshot back of Maxwell with his new SCC bat saying it was updated.
