AI is stealing runs almost every single ball, it’s ridiculous how every update breaks something that makes this game more unplayable
Whenever the batter mistimes the shot & ball ends up on the pitch, the bowler never goes to collect the ball even when the ball is near him on the pitch, instead fielder from mid-wicket or cover goes to collect & concedes single

Even after today’s update that said ai running problem fixed
Ai Batsmen run nicely when they want deliberate quick singles but never run when they hit a grounded aggresive or normal shot that goes straight to a fielder in the deep and also when ball goes to a fielder after taking an edge
Ai batsmen are unable to score even a single run on yorkers bowled,AI on a very hard difficulty could only score 4 (that too an edge towards third man) in the last 2 overs of a t20 match
Ai batsmen are getting alot of edges against both a spinner and pace bowlers, for pace bowlers on yorkers specially and almost all kind of deliveries

I too am finding AI batsman don’t run on aggressive shots when even the commentators allude to a “4”.
Also noticed before this patch and after it’s been applied today, catching doesn’t work. Everything locks in, play continues with nothing being awarded. This is as per WickeyStickets point a day or so ago before the patch, and the sliders now appear fixed but gameplay issue not resolved.

Reported this via the bug report but it couldn’t be replicated apparently?!
Otherwise gameplay is good, just strange when 1 think is fixed another appears?! But the guys seem on it so have to be applauded and it’s still really enjoyable, even if the bugs can be frustrating.

Catching is broken since last 2 updates & it hasn’t been fixed yet
well it has been “attempted” too be fixed
You can add top edges always going over the keeper for boundaries, few should go straight up so that fielders can have a chance to catch it, it will also bring diving catches into play

The gameplay can be said as fine and ok but the presentation looks indecent and boring especially in t20’s which neither have initial cutscene before match nor any special cutscene.
Please add the initial match cutscene which plays before an ashes match, a cutscene of players warming up before toss
an existing drinks break cutscene that is there in odi and tests can be added in t20’s
A longer cutscene for 50-100 celebrations
a variety of post match cutscenes which are longer and not same after every match
I request you with folded hands to please do this as soon as possible, i give my time everyday requesting for this by posting tickets but majorly receive fixed replies, my suggestions are only for the better ment of gameplay and immersiveness
Not sure I’d say gameplay is fine, it’s critically broken with fielding issues and AI issues for batsman. I think the focus needs to be on the fundamental gameplay problems to be fixed before the glossy stuff is enhanced.
Personally I skip all the cutscenes, just want to enjoy the interaction on screen. That said building something polished into the next revision of the game wouldn’t be unwelcome I agree.

@MattW @JNT_BA As at 2026-04-02T16:00:00Z , objectives and matches are not saving to the server. I will try again first thing tomorrow. It’s the second week in a row where new objectives have been added and there’s no way to get the objectives completed, though. If they won’t save until Saturday AM, you need to tell the players this. All help greatly appreciated, and happy Easter!
Is it possible for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to get licensed face scans for cricket 26 and maybe a few more of Ireland team that are missing photogrammetry ? @MattW

When creating custom teams on cricket 26 how do you get some of the team logos that are the default ones available from Big Ant to show up on the uniform itself? I’ve tried clicking the check box and the logo doesn’t appear. I’ve tried a few including the purple trout one and they don’t appear on the uniforms at all. I remember the worst the problem used to be was that you couldn’t position them where you wanted them on the jersey or t-shirt in previous games, now they don’t turn up at all.
I’m wanting to create some fun mixed teams for my friends and kids to play as, as there aren’t really any decent animal mascot logos on the community so was hoping to use the big ant ones but no doesn’t work.
Exactly, everytime they claim that fielding or batting is improved, it gets more & more broken
