Bought the game yesterday and tried to start a new management mode with Western Australia. For some reason, when it comes to selecting my line up for the opening first class game against NSW, only 13 players from the entire WA squad are available to be picked. So there’s Shield stalwarts like Sam Whiteman missing. I tried managing the WA team lineups in the academy but it makes no difference.
This is gamebreaking as it affects the other first class teams too, playing with bizarre line-ups with listed batsmen batting in the lower order.
Surely after Travis Head’s batting performance, we can get the Gray Nicolls helmet added to the game?

Pls add more calm animations when taking a wicket celebrations; all are too aggressive
After 13 hours of gameplay, I’m really enjoying the improvements, but I’ve also come across several issues that feel significant enough to affect realism and gameplay flow. Sharing these here in the hope they can be addressed in upcoming patches:
- Confidence Meter Feels Broken
In Management Career Mode, the confidence meter almost never enters the green. I’ve had batsmen score fluent 50s and remain stuck in red. Even hitting two sixes in a row doesn’t move them out of the red zone. This feels extremely unrealistic and removes the reward of building form.
- Leg-Side Flicks Are Overpowered
The leg-side flicks generate way too much power compared to other shots. Almost every flick races away unnaturally fast.
- On-Drives & Straight Drives Are Nearly Unplayable
At the moment, straight and on-drives feel bugged. They often result in “poor shot” input even when timed well, especially against good-length balls. It’s almost impossible to play these shots confidently, which takes away a key part of batting.
- Blocking Mechanics Are Inconsistent
Sometimes the game gets confused with block inputs. Even on a standard good-length ball, it prompts a back-foot block, which isn’t realistic. This leads to awkward animations and mistimed defense.
- Throws Are Unrealistically Fast & Always Direct Hits
Every single throw from the field is a bullet and somehow a perfect direct hit. It results in too many runouts and breaks immersion. This definitely needs balancing.
- Delivery Marker Disappears When Customising Difficulty
Whenever I customise difficulty settings, the little marker on the bowler’s hand that shows whether the ball will be full, short, or good length disappears. I haven’t been able to find any setting that re-enables it.
- No Visible Option to Change Captain in Lineup Editing
While editing the lineup, I couldn’t find where to change the captain.
- Swing indicator
I could not find the option to indicate where a delivery will swing towards it feels like it’s a 50 50 guessing game if the ball is swinging.
Hoping the devs can take a look, fixing these would significantly improve realism and playability.

In player career mode, can you please add the option of selecting the squad once you are captain and not be limited to the pre selected 15 players.

- haze or smog in terms of volumetric lightning for subcontinental stadiums
2)dew effecting the gameplay
3)fast bowlers not targetting the pads most often
4)patchy looking outfield grass for subcontinental stadium (that was there in the pre release video..I’m attaching a photo for reference)
- Injury animations and mechanics

Hey, to change the caption you have to go right at the bottom of the lineup = On PS5 it’s R1, so what ever is your equivalent on your system. They’re options for lineup, captaincy, wicketkeeper, opening bowler, second bowler - in that order I believe.

Hi, I appreciate the work you guys have done. Here are some bugs and suggestions that I’d want to report
- There is sort of chromatic abberation / fringing throughout the gameplay, that is what makes it different from previous games but it makes it less crispier/blurred which makes it look like low quality graphics, there should be an option to get rid of that.
- The outfield resolutions look way too low res, the outfield should have high resolution texture at distant view (its great when close i.e. in toss etc). The outfield should have more color options as we are seeing in Ashes these days its very dark green and the pattern is very sharp. In Pakistan or india we have patches of mud/rough outfield. Just doing so would majorly overhaul the gameplay experience.
- Pakistan ODI Jersey has name and number in white, it should be green as in real.
- PSL teams have no option to toggle home/away jerseys
- PSL / Pakistan squads have number of wrong players added.
- Pakistan’s squad and lineups are very outdated.
- Fakhar Zaman has wrong face attached, maybe of Sahibzada Farhan
- Certain players look way bulkier than their realistic counterparts like Shaheen Shah.
- There are certain other tweaks that I as a graphic designer can suggest you, those are pretty small tweaks but can majorly enhance the gameplay experience. Let me know if we can work over that.

man the AI fielding/constant direct hits ruins the game for me. Yet to see an overthrow. Flicks from everywhere never missing. Been a blight on the series for so long now, will probably never be fixed as it looks like it’s intentional. At the very least, make the fielders hold the ball if it’s not on and hit maybe 10-20% of the time. 100% is INSANE.
If anyone on PS5 is getting any stuttering, frame rate drops and input lag. Try disabling VRR on console and TV. It may help. Can’t be sure but I was really struggling with batting. Yes i know it’s harder this year. But for me I was miss timing everything. Even when changing Ai to amateur and putting batting on easy. Whereas always played these games on hardest. Anyhow I know Sony did confirm reports VRR causes FPS drops and lag on some games. After I disabled VRR. I instantly started timing my shots better and ball was going the direction I was aiming for.
Also game picture seems to look clearer. But my eyes arnt the best so that may just be me
The game is constantly crashing whenever I try to resume a game in tour mode. Error code: (CE-34870-0)
After playing the game now for about 40 hours, all those issues you mentioned needs to be addressed ASAP, those bugs works on my nerves lol, had another rain delay with sunny weather and the AI literally always hits the stumps
Why are we only allowed to play with licenced teams in competition mode when we wanna play as a team.
Please rectify this so we can play as India, Sri Lanka or South Africa in competitions.
Gameplay is great btw.
Great game so far but a few things I’ve noticed or that I think would improve the game.
Stats - multiple players have incorrect statistics eg Joe root has 30 test tons when he actually has 39. Sam Konstas has a test century according to his stats
Edges not occurring that much and are very rarely taken in the slips. When batting most of my nicks get dropped.
Player appearance - could we please somehow be able to edit gloves/shoes. Or at least have plain white gloves for test/fc games as default. Never seen dark gloves in a test match yet bethell, Smith and Jofra all have dark gloves. Just looks wrong and takes away for me. Sure it doesn’t bother most but it takes away for me.
