Feature Request Thread

Given Ross’s Tweet, I would like to use the opportunity to start a new thread to request features - enhancements/QOL etc.

  • A new tab for inventory for ‘Pro Team’ mode, where we can see all the available players, stadiums, Stumps, etc.
  • Another improvement would be to use a different combination of pitch type, hardness, etc, by stadium. That way, instead of players using the same playing XI, they are forced to use a balanced team. This would make it even more exciting, and home player can use it to their advantage. There is also a 12th player available but unused. If you implement this feature, allow players to probably sub out before the game starts to carry more spinners vs seamers.
  • Filtering players by skillset within Batsman/Bowler/All tab - i.e., RHB/LHB for Batsman; RF/LF/LS/OS for Bowlers would be great

Sent a support ticket for this… but I think the Pro controls need changing.

A push for a single shot shouldn’t need button any input, as a safe, low risk shot. Just right stick input. This should be the go to shot, with no button pre meditation.

The current standard stroke should then require the RB / right stick. This is a more attacking shot that often goes for 4 if timed well, so should require button input - say when you get a half volley/short ball.

Power shots/lofted etc to stay as they are with current button inputs.

We need commentary and separate stats for Pro Team. Right now there’s no commentary in Pro team and everyone’s stats are showing 0, which makes no sense to show all the time.

Hi, have been seeing the same & asking since Cricket19 but never asked on forum so here it is:

Requesting a couple of features:

1. Custom competitions - Options are still the same as Cricket19. Can we get more customisation here e.g. to be able to create a IPL/BBL style league and play-offs? I think this shouldn’t be hard?

2. Worlc Championship - Can the T20 World Championship be updated to incorporate the latest i.e. 20 teams divided in 4 groups same as what we had and will have in 2026?

Background why these needed:

Hi Ross, this is going to be an unusual long message. I am Abhinav, 34, VP of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase & Co., Glasgow, Scotland by profession. Big fan of cricket and cricket video games(my PS id is lets__play__12). Cricket brings joy, happiness to me and helps lower the otherwise higher stress levels. I wanted to tell you how I have been playing past cricket games by BigAnt and how I play Cricket24 currently. I mostly simulate. But the way I simulate brings a lot of joy to me and I believe even if something silly(Cricket is not silly though) brings joy to you in your day to day life why not go for it. Here is how I simulate:
I have created my own cricket-verse and my team is called “The Republic”. Attached word doc will give you background about The Republic. The excel that I maintain is where it gets interesting. It has multiple sheets, Administrative members, men contracted players, uncontracted players, women contracted players, trophies that I have created, calendar for men and women, injuries, points system, points tracking for men, women, domestic structure, republic cricket league. All this with a little help of AI but this is how I have structured my cricketverse which follows a strict and structured setup around the year. I have clocked 1205 hours on Cricket24(98%) simulation though. The way one follows his international team and their games in real life is the way I follow my team in my cricketverse, watching all their matches(when I can). A lot of player names you see in excel are from real life friends and family and a lot of them are fictional. Fictional is what is the future of my cricketverse as real players have started retiring as per their real age.

Idea of sharing this with you is to gain nothing but to tell you that someone deeply loves your cricket games and this is how it is played for some folks like me.

Also, a slight ask for next cricket game(if possible) whenever it comes:

  1. Commentary team name please include “The Republic”. I remember it was there in Cricket22 but was removed in Cricket24.
  2. I love the customization options that game has but it would be great to be able to customise diff types of tournaments, e.g. to be able to create pools/groups in a tournament etc.
  3. To be able to have custom league with IPL/BBL style play offs.
  4. This is a big ask but if you can include commentary names/surnames for the players I shared. e.g. it would be very cool to hear “Abhinav” or “Kashikar”

Please let me know when you read through, also I will be very happy to help for upcoming game or and suggestions in general.

Lastly, thanks for developing these immersive cricket games and helping bring joy for cricket lovers!

Hi, will there be more batting animations/shot in future updates of cricket 26?

I feel there’s not much improvement in batting animations since cricket 19. Only a handful shots have been added.

Would love to see more amount of realistic shots. As there are hardly any leg side realistic shots since 19.

I love how the bowling animations have changed in cricket 26. So is there a possibility that in future updates we will get to see more batting shots?

Hello, one thing id like to see improved is the scorecard while playing T20 matches, even if its something as little as adding the team logos or initials. It just seems like there is a lot of wasted space and would make the general experience better.

Thanks for adding many bowling actions, but the selection could’ve been better. Some big players’ actions are missing—like Ben Stokes, Adil Rashid, Abrar Ahmad, Mohammad Nawaz, Ravindra Jadeja, and Shadab Khan—while we have actions for players like Sai Kishor and Rahul Chahar who aren’t as relevant. Please add Iqbal Stadium Faisalabad and the bowling actions of Pakistani spinners as well.

Please allow us to edit batting styles of those licensed players who have inaccurate batting styles such as batters of indian nationality and also new added batting styles are only relevant if we d be allowed to apply them to prominent players with whom they match. Cricket 24 had a technique with which we could unlink and edit batting styles of those players. Hereby i request you to keep those players locked but just unlock their batting styles so that we can edit them

Nov 21 patch is :fire: – fielding, visuals & stability upgrades are game-changers! Big thanks, team!
But batting feels limited & repetitive after 20 overs – please add T20 magic: ramps, scoops, switch-hits, more leg-side flicks for IPL/BBL blasts!
Easier advanced shots? Make short formats fun & explosive, not just Test grind.
Echoing the community – prioritise in next update? :cricket_game: #Cricket26

Add 4s And 6s Showing Coloumn In Scorecard, There Is No way We Can see It now , in the between a Game .

Showing Tournament ,Series Or Competition Top Stats In between the Matches or Player Stats In between the Matches.

I think it would be cool to see more cutscenes overall in general

Also more photogrammetry for smaller cricket nations would be great

Hello Big Ant Team, First of All I love you 3000 for giving us some of the best Cricket games.

I am enjoying Cricket 26 a lot. But I miss one thing, which is making my bowling not that enjoyable. There used to be a small aftertouch marker when we do bowl in Cricket 24 and Cricket 22. That is missing from Cricket 26. Please add that marker, it was very helpful to setup bowling angles. I am attaching an image for reference to explain what marker I mean. I am refereeing to the red curve marked by an arrow.

Please bring this back. I think a lot of people will be missing this marker.

A few features that i would kindly like to request to the developers is,

  1. Big pitch showing at the end of spell of a bowler which shows which deliveries went for runs, which got them wickets, etc.

  2. Weather which is customisable. Right now we can only select four seasons, but it would be better if instead we can choose things like Hot, Humid, Cool, Mild, and cloud cover like partly cloudy, sunny, overcast etc.

  3. Batsman can retire hurt, if repeatedly hit on helmet or body by bouncers, which makes their stamina drain rapidly, if they continue playing they can get out quickly and if they choose to retire hurt they can regain stamina back in that time.

  4. Missed yorkers resulting in full toss which could also be called no ball if above waist height

Give Options or Assign Button To The Various Celebrations Available (as in FC) on Fifty ,Century and Wicket So that We Can Choose One By Our Own choice and Our Favourite One.

Features That can be Included Is Injuries and injury Cut Scenes and Retire hurt Scenerios, Special Cutscenes For Concussion Check or Substitute If You Can .

Special Cutscene of Umpire Talking to Both Captains In between Rain as in Real matches .

Proper T20WC format please. We have the 2022 format in a 2026 game lol

as you added some new helmet.. I would love to see if you guys added Gray-Nicolls helmet in the game..

DLS needs some working on. I asked AI and said the par would have been 125 in this case. But SLK still got the win with 93/8.

Also not sure why it says 7.5overs with (6) in brackets. So I even asked what DLS would determine if 6 overs were only played, par would have been 114. So even it glitched it is still wrong.

Please can we have full crowds in the stadium for internationals and IPL games. Breaks immersion and seems pointless to me

I’d like to request the ability to select any international team to swap out with one for Test Championship and more flexibility in set up of fixtures would be great

I think if they add AI for commentary, then we will always get upto the mark commentary
