This game looks the nearest to a Gaelic Football game on current gen consoles (although I had a Gaelic game on my PS2…the only one that I’ve ever seen). I might take a punt and buy it if it goes on sale in the future.

Gaelic Football was developed by Transmission Games, who made the AFL games of the PS2 era.
I think it will be an official ‘never say never’ if you asked BA in a QnA, but who knows. Just a guess.
As New Age says, recommend picking up 26 over 23. Although the gameplay improvements aren’t night and day exactly it is comfortably the better game well worth any extra premium it may have.

I’ve got the 26 game and I’m enjoying playing it. That PS 2 era Gaelic Football game was a bit pants really looking back retrospectively. But it was the only GF football that was available then. I played the hell out of it back in the day. I’ve still got it and play it sometimes just to see how games (sport games in particular) have improved. 
Edit…Gaelic Games : Football was the highest selling PS 2 game in Ireland when it was released.

A Northern Irish developer (Buck Eejit) is working on a Gaelic Football game due for release on latest gen consoles and PC ‘summer 2025’.

Hopefully they pull a rabbit out of a hat. If they are rabid fans then this should sort the vision part.

Summer 2025 has been and gone. No game release! Was the ‘pre release’ info just Irish mist?
I’m one very disappointed Irishman.
