Lets Talk about STAMINA system

Hello, I’d like to talk to you about the stamina system during matches.

The current system is very good (stamina at each point played) but it’s incomplete because after each point finished, stamina returns to 100%

I remember in early acess (maybe EA 2 or 3 or 4) stamina was depleted as the match progressed. We’d start the 4th set with maybe 50% of the bar…etc.

I’d really like to keep the current system + a general bar that reduces according to the length of the match and our stamina management during the points.

Currently, even when we play a 5th set, we start each point with 100% stamina, which isn’t logical. So we play the same way on the 1st point of the 1st set as on the last point of the 5th set, there’s no difference

, whereas we all know that it’s very difficult to play long matches

. So I don’t know if you’ve already planned to work on this stamina system, if so, please take our feedback into account and tell us what you’ve planned.

Thanks for your work :+1:

If players here have others suggestion about stamina, tell us. Or if you agree with what i said ^^

I do agree, DEVS this baby after 3 months is very good and enjoyable, but NOW i think it’s time it becomes ADULT: more simulative, so stamina system correction, reward/risk balancement on shoots and forced/unforced errors by AI, imho everyone wants this asap

Lets be logical here, in tennis Stamina is not a factor like basketball and soccer.

Go watch any djokovic or nadal game, in the fifth set they will still run , make aces, power shots similar to the first set, their stamina doesnt drop much,

Stamina is overrated in tennis, however the AL unforced errors is must for one reason to make the game feel real, otherwise the only way to win points is winners, but to keep the game competitive AL erroes should be added but to be minimal and few not exaggerated

I do not agree. Instead, it’s one of the most important factors for success. Djoko and Nadal are few great examples, who revolutionized fitness level to become constantly successful.
You can see less fit players loosing concentration at the end of the match, because of lack of fitness.
You are right to say, there is no big difference in fitness for lets say Top 10 players, as they are all on peak fitness level

wt they need to do, is attach stamina level / rating to each player , so player with higher stamina level will be more energized if the match is really long, however for 2 to 3 sets , stamina is rarely a factor, the concenration is not only related to stamina, its is related to clutch and mental strength also, take kyrios or monfils for example their concenration will vary not due to stamina but to their mental failure
