Ps: These are all the points from me mates bro so don’t come for me in comments again like u all did months ago.
“• An in depth youth academy is necessary to keep the game going and add to the longevity. It would be cool if you were able to select a country to scout in and give your scouts details on the players you want to scout for (e.g. Forwards/Backs). Make it so that it is harder to find a high potential player in a low ranked nation yet still possible just very rare.
• Training sessions should be used to help players increase their form and give them a higher in game rating. In the long term training could improve overall rating but in the short term it would be cool for a player’s training performances and match form to affect their in game rating. This would be similar to the ‘sharpness’ feature in EAFC24. Make it so that players don’t go up in rating TOO fast (e.g. Fin Baxter to 90 rated after one season).
• Realistic transfers are necessary too. For sides like England where national players can only play for their country if they play in the Premiership make it very rare for an international starter to move to a foreign league. It would be interesting for this to happen every now and then on career mode however. A rare move of maybe Maro Itoje to the MLR would be interesting but not if it were to happen every career mode. Also making it rare for a player to join a rival club would be necessary as it would be more of a shock move if a Leicester player moved to Northampton for example.
• Following on from the last point, a news/social media section would be really cool. In this news feed it would be nice to see transfer rumours and scores going on in games from your sides league, other leagues and the international stage. This would be a good way to create hype around a big move such as Maro Itoje to Japan or a player moving between rival clubs.
• International job offers are a MUST for me. Depending on your form with your club side you could get offered a job for a national side and manage both your club team and national team. (I think you should also be allowed to immediately select to be an international coach as well as a club coach at the start of the career so you don’t have to wait for the right offer. This gives you more freedom on the career).
• International qualifications are a massive part of World Rugby nowadays so implementing the correct qualification rules is a must (e.g. having to play in England to play for England). Maybe after a certain number of years as England coach for example you could request for the rules to be changed.
• Whether licensed or non licensed the Club World Cup and European competitions should be in career mode. Without these tournaments the game would lack longevity. Bring in accurate qualification rules such as top 8 in England get into the champions cup (these rules could be adjusted to top 4/6 etc).
• Players from the academy should be able to qualify for multiple nations and it be a case of who offers more money, game time and initial selection to the squad. Dual citizenship is very important in modern rugby and players like Manny Feyi Waboso have shown that in recent time. Maybe you could be scouting in England and find a player who is half English and half Welsh. If you were Engalnd/Wales head coach you would then try and submit an offer for the player including their % game time and their wages. Passion could also play a factor in this so adding a feature that represents the players passion for each country would be really cool. (E.g. 70% passion for Wales but offered more money and game time at England).
• Alongside transfer news in the news/social media feed it would be interesting to see managerial transfers. Coaches could get sacked depending on form and replaced by new coaches who are performing better elsewhere.
• I think you should be able to put players on training programmes in training to help them change position. This would involve them training in a new position and having to play in that new position more often throughout the season until they can play there permanently. For example, Freddie Steward could be put on a training plan to play centre instead of 15. This would maybe take a whole season for him to change but could be sped up by his form and his game time in that position. Once he has changed to centre he would still be able to play at 15 but centre would become his primary position. If this feature is added in don’t make it become an easy process that happens quickly, the transition speed should be depending on the players stats, form, age and morale. The older the player is the harder it is for them to change.
• Allow players to be able to play more than one position. Many rugby games make players lose rating for playing out of position but many of these players can play these positions. (E.g. Allow Jordie Barret to play 12 and 15 without losing any ratings).
Thanks, I hope the game development goes well and I really do hope you invest a lot of time into career mode as it is the one game mode that can make a video game last years!”
