The job you’ve done is incredible, not many studios and devs are listening to players, and you’ve shown that you find some good compromises for all the players.
However there are still some issue or notable improvements to do:
-
Currently, that’s too easy to hit a first serve, but according to real matches, the 1st serve success rate should be around 65%, and for the top server like Zverev, it can be around 80% max.
I think you need to adjust the accuracy of the first serve to make the second serve button more relevant.
Another problem related to the service is the “high risk/high reward” isn’t well balanced. You still don’t get enough advantage of a really good/perfect serve, and i really think a good serve should be harder to return correctly (you improved this mechanic in last patches, but not enough). That’s what i mean by “high risk/high reward”.
1st serve should be much harder to succeed, but also should give a greater advantage on the opponent return (a solution can be to nerf less the ball speed even the timing isn’t perfect, this would be logic because almost only the accuracy should be impacted), that’s not only about ace because currently the ace ratio is quite pretty fine in my opinion !
It would be okay if this can be customized with sliders too, but i think this changed has to be made on the game directly. -
Ball physics when you hit close to the net often feels strange, sometimes they hit so smooth when they can hit hard, but also (most often) they are sometimes hitting the ball super hard without any inertia, and hitting power, it’s like a bug we can see since the early access, the ball is going ultra high for no reason, and this has to be fixed.

I still don’t get how to control depth of lobs, even more when you are close to the net, if you want to lob, the ball uses to go far behind the baseline, out!
I think this shot needs some real adjustments!
Same for the alternate top spin shot… always go out, i don’t really understand how to control the depth.
For the flat shot (alternate), when i hit a really high ball, i know how to manage hitting in the court with less powered shots, for this i don’t know if this is skill issue, but i can’t hit a super powered flat shot when the ball is high, without seeing the ball going out of the court.
Just watch to this highlights from one of the greatest classic roland garros match between Nadal and Djokovic, he just hit the high ball super hard in the court (with fore or backhand). When i try to do the same on Tiebreak, the ball goes out if full power, and if i try to adjust “in the court” with the joystick, even the ball was high, it can go on the net each time.

On another forum, some players wanted to know if different surfaces had different influence on balls bounce. I mean you can know change the ball speed for example, but you can’t change the ball bounce with sliders.
There are surfaces that apply more effect because the ball has longer contact with the surface, like clay, that’s why the lift effect is much more important on clay and one of the reason Nadal is so hard to play on clay, that’s the reason on why the ball is slower after hitting the ground, because the contact with the ground is longer. That means other effect like drop shot are a bit stronger on clay. (Humidity or altitude of the court has also influence on the ball speed or effect but we don’t ask that much for a game lol). -
French translation issue since the EA.
After the coinflip, when we have to chose between serve and receive, if we chose the serve, it’s written: “a choisi de service”
That’s a big mistake, the real translation is “a choisi de servir”, i’m surprised that no one asked you to correct this mistake.^^
Again thank you for all your hard work, i hope my topic will help you to improve the gameplay even more, they we can focus on “extra things”.
