I agree 100% with the key points [SportsGamingZone] made above for improving the game.
I will say all those above are needed to make into a decent realistic rugby game. There are some aspect of the game that play out nicely. So not to completely bash the game here are some positives.
I really like the push over animations on the rucks
Shoulder barges and fends are working nicely.
Grubber kicks and Up and Unders are working nicely.
I like that we can offload often (but ,and a big but, if we offload late in the tackle there should be knock ons, we need more scrums anyhow.
The scrums should be a fun aspect, of the game, you have an oppurnutity to make a game within the game, there is so much that can be done with the scrums , to make them satisfying, right now ther is not satification factor , if you play them to perfection. WE NEED Instuctions on what you are trying to achieve on the scrums, I see they are more difficult which is good, but the timing on the remote seem to be of, I almost thought my controller was broken. The good thing is the stats of the player seem to be playing a bigger role, unlike before, I am looking to try and get the ball into the right hands with the given situation, I also noticed that when you have a player that is better at rucking, you have a better chance for a turnover, so using tactics like trying to be around the ruck with a player that can have a better chance of creating a turnover, there are little things like that , I do appreciate.
Fix the
Sidesteps
Ruck (1st man jackal/steal) (more penalties in the ruck for user and AI) hokding on, hands in the ruck, coming in from the sides, ect ect.
Scrums (explain what you are trying to achieve) add more penalties and if you play your Scrum to perfection, have the AI be penalized for collapsing, and show the animation for this. This give a sense of satisfaction in the game, almost as good as scoring a try. Give more importance to the scrums, its a huge part of rugby. Otherwise we can go play the league game.
Looking forward to the next update, I know BA will continue to improve the game.
