Game seems better, but nof that much.
Hopefully next weeks patch will make it better.

Summary

-Now by using more the A button you can have some phases, still seems a bit unstable.

Stamina seems to be working as intended. Maybe you forgot to upload the update yesterday…:joy:
Still a bit of twicking has to be done since props have more stamina than other forwards.

I’m noticing that players that goes in offside aren’t capable to tackle.
Maybe is a way to solve easily the problem for now, but this is not the way to go.
I need to be able to tackle and be punished for that.

I had and raised the same issue with regards to not being able to tackle when offside, I even reported it as a bug and logged a ticket, still want this to be update and advantages to be played for offside, come on @JNT_BA

Again it’s one of those things that I’ve been avoiding talking about. The last few updates have been updated to allow the easy addition of sliders for several options to go in when they’re ready. As Ross mentioned on twitter some of these things are not as simple as “add sliders” cause what is sliders value 1 and sliders value 100? But it’s something as I’ve been watching these new updates we keep working on have in mind is to find that 1-100 to add them in.

Changed buttons for hold. New tool tips have been added.

In both attack and defensive ruck structures steal and hold are on “X” or square with “A” or “cross” for removing of ruck participants.

My feedback on the last patch and some examples.
The women’s teams quick match is broken and causes crashes. I have also experienced random crashes during gameplay much more.

  1. Rucks. The 5 person rucks are a step back for me, they don’t reflect modern rugby and it takes far too long for players to bind. The AI (hardest) are getting far too many turnovers now, even when my player has forwards supporting all around them and many are added to the ruck.
    I believe the mechanic should be simplified and it should be less about button mashing and more about being isolated/vs players binding quickly.

  2. AI Scrum half basing tackled after line out pass. The opposition 9 is often tackled before they can pass the ball away a fry er a line out. My tactic is to hold L/R1 during the line out animation to ensure I can long pass immediately.

  3. Kicking. The AI needs to kick more. Especially now that it is harder to win the ball off them. There has been several instances where I have tacked them backwards following pick and go’s over many phases and they have gone beyond their own try line, causing a 5m scrum or goal line dropout (application of this law is inconsistent). The rate of box kicks seems to have been reduced. The only way to get the AI to kick is from kick offs deep into their 22.

Still i would like AI to able to do the same Faul.

Yes it exists and it’s easy
I score drop goals in every games because its fun and changes the way and not score only the sames tries

Then what on earth am I doing wrong?
I put the player in the pocket, most of the time it will be the flyhalf or center, I press triangle on my ps remote and it seems like I get the direction right, but the ball gets no air, the opposing team simply snatches it shoulder height…every time

Played the lastest version today.

Still a crazy amount of turnovers. I think this has something to do with players slow to enter rucks and team structure.

I havent played a huge amount so forgive me if this is not accurate, but currently it seems whoever enters a ruck first will most likely win it. This is good in theory, realistic, and adds a reason for holding on (would like to see the ai hold on) This is frustrating however when there is no real pod structure, you cant play for possession, its so hit or miss as to whether you have a support player there to enter a ruck. And the worst bit is 90% of the time when there is a player present, they stand around not entering the ruck.

Game breaking bug in my last game that actually made me just turn it off. Kicked for territory deep into opposition 22, it rolled into touch, ai picked up the ball as if to quick throw in, but ran onto pitch before throwing. My player tackled the player and then nothing happened. Everyone stood around. Had to exit the game.

Same on Xbox with Y button, tips? I think the meter needs to be larger.

Are you able to get the following achievements :

  • Defence! ; I’ve played for 35 hours and this one did not appear, in the stats I am way above 800 tackles …
  • Collector ; what is meant by tournament trophies ? I’ve tried with all the competitions …
  • Sin to win ; To be fair, I don’t know if this one is buggued. I’ve seen a yellow card in only one game. Anyone has a tip for high tackle and yellow card ?

I guess that these are buggued, on Steam, Defence! has been obtained by only 4.7% (which is really low), and Sin to win/Collector by 0% … but we never know.

The sin to win one seems impossible to me too. Is the only offline one left for me to collect. I have not even seen a yellow card for months to be honest. Not sure they exist at the moment?

800 tackles is … well 800 lol, but I know there were issues with some achievements showing up on some platforms from memory? Log a ticket maybe?

For collector just play a URC. TOP14 final and win it etc. You just need to win 3 of them.

Again if you have done that and it isn’t triggering I would just log a ticket with support.

You have to hold y and wait to complete the empty slot, then the drop is Ok and you can score easily

Don’t know if anybody from big ant can answer this, but is ai passing and kicking actually been worked on and just isn’t at a place ready to be implemented yet ? , it’s pretty jarring playing a rugby union game were the backs and wingers just are zero threats because the ai can’t string 2 passes together. Maybe it will be a sliders option but it really needs to be a main focus if it isn’t already because it a massive part of the sport the game is trying to replicate and it’s just completely absent.

I managed to get the sin to win on the xbox version, so atleast the achievement pops.
Just very hard to get, its still 3 high tackles in 1 half to get yellow card (Or was before wednesday update, who knows now, as ive not seen a single high tackle).
In update 17 i realised you could short box kick over ruck to make opposition 9 run back slightly, then sprint in to them and tackle and seemed to force same high tackle penalty that blitz defence tactic used to.
I also think when you have a yellow card the AI defence ramps up for some reason, took me the full 10 minutes of my yellow card to get the try, because the AI became unrelenting and seemed to win constant turnovers even as a lower rated team. :joy:

800 tackles worked for me on PC, but not Xbox, so not sure what that issue it. Achievement potential seems to change depending on patch and platform.

This is the aspect of the game that I find most disappointing, and the reason I’m tending to play a few matches after each new patch before consigning it back to the shelf in the hope that the next patch will address this.
