Hello there !
I noticed another bug.
When a player is injured, for example, a wrist sprain, he will be out for 30 days. Okay.
If in the same match, or another match, another player gets injured, for example, a cruciate ligament, he will be out for about 360 days. Well, the first player with the wrist sprain will also be out with the injured ligaments. So, not 30 days, but 360.
It works the other way around too.
I have four players injured for a serious knee injury, out for more than 400 days, even though they only had a simple bruise or sprain… With no new injuries for ages, my players, who were supposed to be available again, are out for more than a year!
I don’t know if you’ve already noticed that.

Also :

  • The 9 is too slow to get out the ball of the rucks
  • Supports runs are very bad… players stay next to each other and arn’t running when they receive the ball or when they intercept…

I know it is a video game, but a lot looks so “scripted”. The ref with the high tackles, the counter rucks… It’s not fluent

This game could have so much potential, but instead the errors ruin it and make it near unplayable.

The amount of times the game won’t let me offload only to then immediately lose the ball at the ruck, the tactics not being followed whatsoever, no-one wide who could receive the ball (where are the wingers) when there’s an open gap, and then my defenders just standing there or moving aside to allow the AI to score a try is a joke while the rest of my defenders jog instead of sprinting. Add the easy fend offs by the AI being reintroduced and there’s no point trying really. Oh and to top it all off, my game just crashed the moment I won the Premiership Final, after playing for 40+ minutes. Lovely.

For this you have to re create and import that logo for those side lines or pattern as per new logo dimensions as shown in the image you using the previous uploaded logo which was narrowed on previous dimensions

I’m making another request after several months… regarding licenses.
Could you please make an effort for the RCVANNES TOP 14 team, which is licensed… The stadium name isn’t correct, so I created it myself, but it’s impossible to change it in Manage Team (RCVANNES).
By default, the team plays at the Stade de France… that’s a joke ^^. So please replace the Oyonnax stadium (currently in Pro D2) with the real RCVANNES stadium (Stade de la Rabine).
It would also be a good idea to add the players’ faces, and especially their real skin color, while almost all the other Top 14 teams have been updated.
PS: The names of players in matches (TOP 14) still don’t appear (only their positions). Thank you again again and again

Last weeks patch had good elements, but brought back some more bugs, some I’d never seen before and some I hadn’t seen for a while, I play on PS5. Of course all the usual bugs were still there.

Here are some that I really hope get some attention soon.

In 2 player, there were constant “Phase Zero” turnovers, particularly at the start of the game. Seriously, one of us would win possession and then the other player would win it back before it could even be used. This was ridiculous and makes re-iterate my point from weeks ago, that once the ball is won from the opponent or counter-rucked, then it should not be “re-stealable” on the same ruck phase!!!

Defensive player selections need work. Often it gives you the worst of the 2 nearby players to change to and often won’t let you select the other more relevant player despite selecting change player. Instead it’ll offer an even worse positioned 3rd player.

When trying to chase a kick-off, player selection will change on you randomly without you selecting to change player. If you do select to change player, it’ll sometimes change away to someone else.

There is an annoying bug which I thought was squashed which means if you score a try and then the player celebrates by throwing the ball in the air, if it’s caught by an opposition player, then the game assumes no try was scored and that the player who caught the ball is in possession and it’s play on!

Another player selection issue. This one is particularly annoying. When you’re defending and you go to select one of your players to pull towards the attacking player who has just made a break, it often times feels like you can’t immediately control them, they’re still being pulled in the direction that the AI wanted them to go for a second or two. I had a player who could have easily made a tackle to prevent a try, but (playing on side-cam) when I tried to pull him down the screen, he moved up! By the time I got control of him 2 seconds later, it was too late. This happens to varying degrees quite often.

Finally, scrums. Scrums are ridiculous. Even when you hit all them bars pretty accurately, it’s easy to give away a scrum penalty. Even when they work, it’s so slow to get the ball out and you have to select pass about three times before it actuall happens. Selecting the number 8 is the only method of getting it out that happens rapidly. Personally I think scrums are over-wrought and a big slow down to the entire game. I don’t think anyone looks forward to them. I have 7 friends who play this game (counting the wife and son who also play) and NO-ONE looks forward to scrums. An audible sigh often comes up.

Why have all this close view and long build up, it sometimes takes longer than real life scrums! Rugby World Cup 2011 had a good angle to the scrum which felt like it was part of the whole wider game, not a separate cut-scene that goes on forever. There was a hooking contest and scrum wheeling etc, it only needed better pushing mechanics and Rugby 25 doesn’t have that either. Please simplify them and make them fun, not frustrating if possible!

Anyhow, have been holding back in messaging as I was pretty put off and have only played the game 4 times since last weeks kicking destroying patch. Please remember when fixing it that there was a lot of requests for 5m more distance to the kicks as they were?

Anyhow, here’s hoping for better this week.

I’ve been enjoying playing with the women’s teams, somehow it seems the game is less broken playing with them however it’s disappointing at the low amount of women’s teams in the game and I noticed a bug where the game wouldn’t let me go back and select the men’s option unless I restarted the game from the homescreen (on ps5)

It’s maddening how this game doesn’t let us fix simple things on our own:

Manage team is locked.
Editing rosters are locked
Trading players are locked.

Even Ea Sports lets you do this.

I thought the Ai for Womens teams actually attacked a lot better than the men’s Ai and more urgency to run straight to the try line once they had the ball and space.

After May 21 patch, on xbox S. Main points

  1. Ruck turnovers do seem to happen when they should (except for the offensive player being isolated and defensive player tackle, stand, and quick steal is still missing from the game. Please, Please add this as intended. The ruck animations do seem to match better, but quick steals should be passive, pushovers should be when offense holds ball longer and you overpower the ruck hold. Again would be nice to have two options assigned to the controller button, steal attempt (x) and push over (Y). With both having risk and rewards, (hands in ruck, coming in from the side on rucks penalties) Over all rucks getting better and better, if you play like true rugby. Holding on penalties should be given to the AI if they are isolated and do not release. Just got to get that isolated tackle , stand, and quick steal, or holding called on the offensive ruck better implemented.
  2. AI has improved on Hardest setting, now have to concentrate to get the win. But AI should still use more varied attacks like in Big Ant league games. Kicks, sidesteps, overlaps, dummies.
    Ai should do more steps, fends, and play kicking and better overlap offloads, like the AI in Big Ants League games.
  3. Fend is still to overpowering for the User, really no reason to do any of the other skill moves like sidestep, dummies, and spins, Would be nice if these other skill moves would be effective in certain situations, and better then the fend in certain situation, at the moment no reason to do any other offensive move other than the fend the barge works relatively well, but should be more different effect then fend. Sideteps seem to be useless.
  4. Scrums , although it is a good system, the reward for playing them to perfection is weak, there should be more scrum penalties on the AI, and more field advancement if you out play your opponent in the Scrum, Make Scrums exciting again, more risk vs reward in the scrums.
  5. Dummies only work in one direction but have no effect on the opponent.
  6. High tackles should prevent offloads more but should be more susceptible to the fend, low tackles more effective against fend, but you give up more offloads, this should be a risk vs reward when attempting a higher tackle vs a lower tackle. Depending on what offensive move your opponent does, either the high or low tackle would be the better option, this is how it should work.
  7. UP and Unders (bombs) should have a higher trajectory when executed by a good play kicker. So the player kicking has a chance to retrieve the ball.
  8. Mauls need a better mini system, more risk vs reward in mauls with possibility of being penalized if not playing it well.
  9. Would be nice to have pick and go options added, Ea Sports Rugby did this great, so many options at the ruck. You should be able to have options, at ruck for the pick and go, right now it is mostly random, with the 9 picking up most of the time. Should be able to pick n drive with your forwards, or the firs 1-2 players arriving to the ruck. This is a must to have true Rugby simulation play, and to have better forward play.

Over all I do see the game improving, and it could be a very good rugby game if everything comes together, at times there is very fun flowing rugby, AI has improved last patch, so hopefully continues on this path, with more varied play, In saying this, AI improvements must be through smarter AI decisions like Big Ants Rugby league games, not cheap cheats, like, not turning the ball over at the ruck or impossible offloads. Thank you Big Ant team looking forward to continued improvements, and thanks again for adding possibility of 5 in the rucks, this was a great addition for the Rugby purist, and when players learn to use this option the correct way it’s a great addition. " Even though I can add 5 at the ruck most of the time I only add 1-3"

I wish I could edit player stats. Someone like Taniela Tupou has been usually pedestrian and a passenger on the field in his playing form all year for NSW Waratahs. I would be lowering his various skills and fitness if I was able to freely edit the stats. It’s frustrating we can’t edit teams, player stats. Player appearances. Some player appearances are either template players stuck in licensed teams or inaccurate player appearances. I want to edit and fix these for my own enjoyment of the game.

Phil Cockanasiga - Ospreys - URC - The player is dark skinned In real life this looks nothing like him.

Sharks - URC - We are stuck with 5 Template players like this. I just want to either edit them or remove them and make my own players,

I agree with all these bugs. Another bug that really annoys me, in addition to the injury problem I’ve already mentioned and those of previous colleagues, is this one:
A player (AI or human) can score from the 5-meter line. He performs a dive from space, or a pirouette, and scores for sure without it being possible to stop him. Impossible in the real life !
It’s almost impossible to defend in this area. The players are often poorly distributed, and the player selection always gives the least well-positioned player to defend.
So if you’re being chased and you cross the 5-meter line, you press “try” and hey presto, you’re guaranteed to score; or to concede a try.

Oh, a good point, the AI ​​scored a drop goal against me, but… right in front of the the try line… strange choice, he only had 5 meters to go to touch down! I had no defender capable of tackling him… Nice to see, but personally, I wouldn’t have tried, I would have scored the try!

Does anyone know if floody nz is on this forum? I want to give them a shout out as they have made all the npc kits and looks like they are starting to make the squads. Floody nz if you are on the forum and you see this I have made some of the stadiums and are wanting to help you with the squads if you need it.

Not sure this is a bug exactly, but the arrows indicating wind speed and direction seem to have no influence whatsoever on kickoffs, penalties or conversions.

Fully agreed. Another problem is some player’s positions or nationalities are totally wrong. All of that wouldn’t be as big a problem if it was editable. My fear it will remain locked (like in Cricket 24) because they’re licenced, even when it’s wrong. The amount of times I’ve seen scrumhalfs like Ben Youngs come on as a sub at flyhalf (and the flyhalf is left on the bench or goes on at SH) and starts kicking conversions is crazy, especially when they’ve never played there in the life.

One example is Alfie Barbeary who in the game is down as a Hooker and then a Prop Right and Prop Left. In real life he has played his whole pro career at Number 8 & a little at Blindslide Flanker, while Hooker should be his tertiary position based on him playing it in the Wasps Academy and still being able to do the job if needed. At the moment, can’t edit a single thing which means he’ll never play in the positions he should be.

Too many stats are just generic 80/80/85/80 etc as well, so the ability to change all of that would be welcomed.
