I’ve just tried another game and it’s exactly the same. Note all my gameplay is on PS5.
I’m afraid AI v AI is completely broken on PS5.
May I ask a serious question now please?
Do you actually have anyone working for you right now whose testing all of these updates before sending the patches live?
Because atm this is a broken mess and not a game at all. I’m not sure about anyone else but I’m certainly not seeing what I paid top whack for.
Please sort it out otherwise you will lose everyone.
The thing is it won’t just be this game it will be any game you guys put out. Folk will have nagging doubts about whether to spend their hard earned money.
Unless ofc you can pull off a No Man’s Sky or Cyberpunk 2077.
My only logical thinking is that there are different departments that deal with different parts of the game and they haven’t communicated and when they’ve compiles the game when one fixes another issue is caused.
It also makes me think that whoever’s testing this literally tests for 30 seconds and then authorised the release.
I can’t think of anything else, I’ve tried and tried.
As I posted recently, if we can find the bugs 10 mins into gameplay then how after (this time) a week of testing can’t the testing team see what we see.
I seriously think that all efforts first need to make this game bug free, that needs to be the priority here, balls flying up to the heavens, players running backwards, basic mechanics of the game simply not working, I think fixing that desper needs to be the priority and after thinking about it for a little bit I thought then maybe this release today with such small updates on the patch notes has concentrated on the bugs but after playing the update I can safely say that’s not the case unfortunately.
What baffles me is that wasn’t there a stability update a few days ago and I’d think today’s was also based on stability more than anything and both have not fixed many of the bugs many people constantly post about.
As I have said numerous times, when they say stability improved, please tell us what has been improved as we are kept guessing as to what has improved in the stability as it seems like very little at the moment.
I have supported the game since day one, I have played dozens of hours and finished entire seasons in career hoping for updates, and I have made many tickets but now it is no longer possible I am desperate and I think it is really a shame to do this to players who pay (very much) for a game like this .. I will immediately ask Microsoft for a refund hoping that I am not alone and that it will work because it is really a shame
Still did not get an update here..
Always South Africa time around 16:00pm,but still nothing.
Still we not angry enough…
We need to petition for refund we cannot let this go or leave it like this.
BIG ANTS GIVE US ANSWERS!!!
NO feedback from team…Ross always post on X this…give real feedbacks
BA start with the basics first. That being the bugs. Get those sorted and then start on gameplay.
The basic rules of Rugby Union, not League, Union need to be applied. From there, if everything I’ve said previously works, you can look to adding in the more complicated plays that happen in a game of Union.
Be it in the rucks, at set pieces, passing and kicking mechanics. But get the bugs ironed out first and then basic gameplay. Then build on the game from there.
Lastly you can then look at cosmetics, adding new competition graphics etc. Maybe even look at opening up the Community Creations so creators can get to work on designing fabulous stadiums complete with competition logos, players, etc.
Like I say, basic fundamentals first including bugs. Then You might just get a decent game of Union.
It’s a long way off yet but you never know. I’m taking a break from the game for now. Maybe in a few months or so I’ll check it out then. I’ll keep my eye on the forums.
Hoping for the best, planning for the worst. Maybe we’ll get somewhere in the middle.
Good luck Big Ant and thank you for all your correspondence so far @JNT_BA . You have been most helpful.
Hi guys! When you firts implement “hold the ball at a ruck” mechanic ive send you a ticket how this concept is against rugby rules ! I will repeat myself and i will give you a simple basicruck mechanics and infos!
1- When ball carrier is tackled the following obligation appear :
ball carrier have to release the ball !!! ( if ball is released ,becomes harder to imposible to steal ,if there are support players)
tackler have to release the ball carrier and tackle area ( he can contest only if the ruck is not formed ,support from attacking team missing)
Based on this we get following scenarios for a ruck mini game
1-tackled and tackler release the ball / tackle area in time and support from attacking team in time → attack holds the ball
2- tackled and tackler release the ball/ tackle are in time but ball carrier isolated with late support–> turnover
3-tackled not releasing the ball in time → penalty for other team
4- tackler not releasing in time → penalty for team in attack (not rolling away / not releasing)
So i would be very happy if you could replace “hold the ball” with “release” (both for attack and deffence) and give us a ruck timing mini game where everybody is pasive to give away penalty ,hold/lose the ball!
Apologize for pushing you over this topic but i just want a good realistic rugby game and im confident that you can deliver it ! Good luck!
The best thing everyone here can do is just uninstall this game and move on. It will not get “fixed”, it will get worse or stay as is. There is no point wasting time on this board asking / suggesting updates. They will not happen.
The updates are circular and propagate more issues, not fix or add any detail to make this game actually what the studio promised and sold to be. Noting the revenue for this game is ~$450k, the reality is there is no budget to sustain indefinite updates and actually provide a game that represents rugby union.
This game and studio should only be used as an example of how not to create and release a rugby union game.
Wow, and he didnt even pay for the game lol, imagine what its like for us victims of highway robbery. And potentially future, better games with licenses.
so I’m going to try to be a little more positive than my comrades about today’s update.
First of all, I’d like to say that I agree with a lot of people here about the evolution of the game. I can confirm that there are still a lot of things to be ironed out to make the game the best it can be.
I have noticed, however, that after today’s update, the game has improved on certain points. First of all, it seems to me that the players’ running speed has been adjusted. What’s more, the rucks are better and I sincerely believe that they should no longer be touched. I’ve also noticed that the length of kicks has been increased. In fact, you need to play several matches to realize the progress, as these are small gameplay additions that make the game increasingly fluid. For my part, the only bugbear I’ve encountered over several games is when passes from the 9 go straight into touch.
So yes, the game is progressing, but not fast enough, and the question I’m asking myself is whether or not big ant is going to work on the problems reported by the community. AI that doesn’t make passes, up and under…adding combinations for the back lines etc… in fact we should at least know if these problems are going to be worked on, and if so, when? a roadmap would indeed be welcome. Big ant, if people are angry, it’s because they feel this game has huge potential and we all believe in it.
I know there are still a lot of issues to iron out but players running onto the ball, especially after making a break is killing the feel of even a try for me. Also, the whistle needs to be changed to union
