The game needs some serious rebalancing.
Iām not sure what the point of having 5 men able to compete in the ruck is, when they simply stare at the breakdown, and only join in when the opposition scrum half has arrived and passed the ball. Why is there such a delay in joining the ruck?
Also, when the game determines that a turnover is going to happen, it almost always happens when the first player arrives, so again what exactly is the point of adding any further players. In EA the arriving players could actually turn the ball over. Why cannot this be combined so that overwhleming numbers added to the ruck can force a turnover?
Right now the AI can go 10 - 20 ruck phases no problem, due to the above issues. Even if you do join the ruck early, the AI can simply hold onto the ball.
The problem is when you try and hold the ball, youāre going to have a penalty against you for holding on. I have never seen a penalty awarded against the AI for holding on however. That makes no sense in a game with a holding on button.
i have also yet to see the AI given a penalty for a high tackle since the update, although i am getting 1 - 2 against me a game.
In additon to the passing bug that sends a pass into the next town, when you are trying to play fast, all too often your players block the pass from the scrum half. Its annoying and unecessary. Theres no reason for professional players to crowd around a ruck getting in the way of the ball.
There are also knock ons which are not given againt the AI, but are given against me.
Until the ruck logic actually rewards players arriving first, and avoiding running into isolation, along with stats of the player trying to turnover, the holding on button should be scrapped. It is just a cheap way for the AI to gain territory by penalties or hold onto the ball for multiple phases with impunity. Either that or penalties need to be evenly awarded against the AI, especially when they are complely isolated.
Can the team please urgently look into rebalancing the game, as i am forced to now kick 50-22s and just score off line outs and mauls. Trying to play more than a few phases just results in a turnover or a penalty for holding on (whether you tap or hold the button)
Finally, there is bug in that neither the player or AI can tackle a player from behind. Essentially unless you cut in from the side, you cannot tap or catch a player from behind. This results in props or any player literally going the length of the field, which is ridiculous.
