I have not seen it mentioned yet, but as a result of 5 man rucks, if you only put 3 in, loads of players stand around the ruck and block the pass from the 9. I mean, its kinda crazy the user AI players were not edited as this was such an obvious issue that would arrise.
Also, Iâd just like to reiterate small items to increase immersion:
- Players getting muddy or somewhat dirty as the game progresses
- Commentators call turnovers before they happen and a multitude of other commentary issues.
- Focus on implementing union rules - one that constantly annoys me is you can take out the kicker after you put through a grubber or chip kick.
- Tap tackle from behind. I believe this was in an earlier version and removed. I think this would help online as most tries are 50m breaks because of tackles not working
- Stop the 10 running onto the ball when in the pocket.
- Online quick matches - let us select any stadium in the game for these games.

Has anyone seen the glitch of when AI makes a Substitution (usually 2 players) the 2 subs stand in front of the kicker at kick offs and just float around the pitch, Iâm sure on 1 game when AI made the sub they had 17 players on the pitch lol

Ai still donât wont to pass really. Just try to go on on defence and offload.
Itâs ok to try offload, but most of play (IRL) are to try to open defence by timing and doing the right passes.
Offloas is often risky and more often are just undoable 'cause the way defence takles you.
Please introduce proper OFFSIDE.
Also, in Line outs you can predict the AI selection by following the 9âŚ
Please donât, the 9 has to follow the action of the line out, but not before the actual movement.
Minor bug. Kicking into touch after a penalty doesnât let the number selection to show.

Thatâs disappointing! When the game first came out, I monitored it for several weeks via Mad Dragonâs excellent videos. I specifically didnât purchase it (on PS5) until I saw that the AI was finally playing something approaching a Union passing game. Then a few patches later, the developers set the game back to Rugby League hit up mode, and here we still are today. I wonât lie, I feel cheated by what has happened to the game since I bought it.

For now i just see a more stable ruck.
Not that much turn overs, actually is pretty diffucult to turn over. And itâs ok.
Not much else.
Then game is in shambles after the last update..
when AI do a fend off the game broke completely,cannot tackle Ai,Ai running around in circles.
What is the reason for these bugs its really annoying âŚ1000bucks for a game full of bugs.come on Big ANts the game is not playable ATM!!!.
Hope the issue is sorted in todays patch

I want to think that every feature that is added/modified takes a very long time to develop.
The list of things not working is long, and so is the list of âdesirableâ things that the game doesnât even have.
What I noticed in last weekâs update, is that players teleport to join the ruck. In the extended notes it came as âplayer join the ruck quickerâ, but this makes no sense as isolated players have instant support in the ruck with magical teleporting.
The other day my wife saw me playing and wondered why the players name didnât appear on screen and only their position 
luckily she doesnât know hoy much I spent on the game
I also noticed that now the stats add up during the game and you can actually check them.
Still waiting to see an offside called when a player in front of the kicker recieves the ball, or forward passes are awarded as that and not a penalty. I havenât seen a scrum for a few games now.
This the first time I experience something like this with a game. Tbf I was a bit excited in the begining thinking that we would be able to mould the game to our liking, but god how wrong I was. (I wamnât around during EA). I visit this thread almost every day, I have seen so many good ideas, apart from the obvious bugs, that would make the game so goodâŚand in exchange we see almost no changes week after week.
You reap what you sow, and putting this little effort into developing this game will never pay off sales wise, let alone fans trust. A sport that has a few times the fans that cricket or australian footy, but the game is worse compared to the others.

Agree with everything you said except that cricket is a much bigger sport than rugby when it comes to fan base. . India market alone has bigger fan base than rugby.
The issue is they just donât know rugby and they have to many games being develop at the same time.

Same for me, it is a sad day when my partner comments on how unrealistic it is and she only passively watches rugby when I am watching..

Sorry guys but itâs massively unrealistic that the game will get any better from here on out.
I was dying for this to be a success, most of us tried and tried to provide as much in-depth feedback as we could but as the old saying goes âYou can lead a horse to water, but you canât make them drink itâ, so I canât see anything major happening now.

Same here as by the time you record, edit the video to a gif, split it and then upload it, then for the two lads JNT & Lachie to pass it along to the development team and then for what it seems to be ignored is just not worth it anymore, As I said in a previous post, I believe Ross seriously needs to look at his development team / manager as something has gone terribly wrong here.
Put JNT or Lachie in charge and from their work that they do here I think there would be a big change and uplift in the game imo.
Anyway I wish the lads all the success in the world but I canât see this game being any better so wonât be providing feedback from here on out.
Shame really as had all the potential to be the best rugby game thatâs been made.
I will say that the team need to scrap any new features and just concentrate on getting the game up to speed, complete and bug free, then and only then start adding new features.
If you watch the MaD Dragon Rugby YouTube channel and his video from 6 days ago it shows just what state the game is in as he goes in depth with the bugs and everything else, very good video imo.

Iâm not sure if anyone else has been experiencing this but Iâll explain.
Bear in mind this is AI v AI
The attacking team had the ball in their own half and literally walked up to their opponentâs try line. They then back tracked to half way and then walked the ball into touch.
This happened twice on the bounce one after the other.
Can I just ask what are the dev team and/or testers doing with this game after how many updates now?
Iâve lost count and am losing enthusiasm and heart for this game very quickly.
To be fair though not one developer has been able to create an accurate representation of Rugby Union in a video game to date.
I think Iâm going to wait and see what the new Rugby League game will be like. I may just revisit this come then to see if there are any improvements at all.
I know one thing though you guys have made a rod for your own backs and sinking quickly.
Iâm typing this as I watch whatever is going on on my screen. All the players and I mean both teams are literally just hanging around halfway and walking around.
Whatever you have done with this patch you have completely broken the game. Just roll it back to day ones patch and start again if I were you. At least that patch was better than what we have now.
My god BA please sort this mess out before you lose all of us. Including our hardcore fans of the game.

Surely when you set out to make a union game you have top of your list passing and tactical kicking⌠Two massive aspects of union and just completely absent here which is just a ridiculous situation to be in . At least get the game playing like union then fine tune / improve other areas, lineouts, ruckâs etc . You simply canât have a union game playing like a poor version of rugby league live and expect any other responses but negatively and anger from your player base.
