This is just crazyđŚ, they actually thinking nothing big of Rugby Union, took our money and just moved on, will think twice in the future to buy a Nacon/Big Ant game. This is really sad
Two different teams two different career modes that are different scales. I donât see how one team working on a game with a much smaller scale of teams, tournaments and schedule adds up to missing out on something. In some places the rugby mode is way more in depth and afl in others.
I only said that I wish we had the same
I reckon the career mode in R25 is probably the one with more depth a union game ever had.
But tbh, imo, the only aspect where R25 Career mode has more depth than AFL26 (from the AFL 26 screenshots) is just more teams to play with: competitions and tournaments, international games and promotion/relegation for French and Romanian leagues.
Apart from signing players, there are 0 things related to money management
Btw @JNT_BA, are there some blocking points regarding photogrammetry ? Are you still waiting for the approval of some teams ? We had maybe less than 5 men teams in two months ? Cheers
Some further feedback on some small fixes which could really improve play online.
- Offloads are abused atm, for example, you can basically offload to your hearts context until the ball goes loose. I think this should be highly skill dependent, for example, a prop should nto be able to pull off ofloads 100% of the time, while top rates backs should be more successful. I think if we implemented this style system to allow offloads, it would force people to kick more.
-
- Online defending - this is both a tackling issue and a defending issue. Can you guys try bring in some tap tackle mechanic and maybe give an onscreen prompt to go for a tap tackle. So many tries online are from 100M out as people just offload until they get some space.
-
- I think rucking is generally okay in online play now, much more difficult against high rated teams.
- As mentioned above, overall positioning needs work as well as picking up the ball. When the ball goes loose from an offload or kick, sometimes the players will kick it even without pressing the kick button. Similarly, I find 50:22s quite easy after a few phases as defensive shapes disappear. I dont think there is a scenario in professional rugby where the backfield has no one back so would love if there was attention towards this aspect.
Overall, online play is relatively stable atm but just full of high scoring games which are just boring and tedious as it becomes an offloading fest, as opposed to the better player winning. @JNT_BA would greatly appreciate if you could pass this onto the team.
AFL has more licensed teams with facescans tbf. Rugby 25 just has extra kits and logos. Way more redheads too
Only part of the career mode that is deeper than AFL is the international part ⌠because AFL doesnât have it
Pro-team should be scrapped for this version, BA should work with us and get this game to a decent level, then release Rugby 26 in fall time with new squads and kits etc aswell as pro team (and us beta testers should not have to pay for it)
You really want to have to pay again???
Did you read the post? For clarity, we should not have to pay (as I said in original postâŚ), however, this game will have 0 playerbase even if issues are fixed and for online play this doesnt work. Steam reviews and most reviews are locked in now. Best case is we get a fresh title with fresh reviews if they can clean up gameplay.
Thank you for the clarity. There is no way Nacon gives away anything for free though. Their old games barely get a discount.
@@JNT_BA Give me sliders, additional cameras, pitch markings, ability to edit existing teams and leagues, add in the Career stuff AFL 26 is getting, and I can get value from what I already paid for.
How is that looking better than rugby 25, mins boggling
Apologize for interfering ,doesnt look multiple teams are working on different games ,or you might be right but in that case the teams are undernumbered because afl23 ,cricket24 ,tiebreak all where unfinished products at the lunch and they are still a bit off people desire! I just cant belive that a rugby union team was set appart since with all the rebranding and patience they came out with that release and 2 month after they are still cercling around their tails with basics! I would apreciate more honesty than âcompany strategyâ lies ! Really hope your new games will be released as a finish product so team can go back to rugby25 and fix it!
With the gameplay Iâm not sure it will ever be perfect. Iâd keep what we have and maybe turn down the AI tackle evasion slightly to reduce missed tackles and have the AI kick long slightly slightly more
Then bring in sliders. Getting it perfect is so so hard. Sliders can help massively reduce user complaints and allow players to find a balance for them.
Canât wait for improved stability tomorrow
I think this is going too far. âLiesâ is a bit over the top and unfair.
Anyhow, I just want to ask @JNT_BA if there has been any consideration to increasing the distance of the general play clearance kicking. Itâs not enough to be worthwhile and promote the kicking game.
Kicking to touch from Penalties etc is fine, you can get a quite reasonable distance.
Grubber kicks are going the right distances in my opinion. Iâm unsure if it was fixed in the last patch, but the annoying late tackles immediately after getting the grubber kick away seem to have been fixed.
I havenât tried the up and under or chip kick really, so I canât say what I think about those really.
As for any upcoming patches, the top 5 biggest changes Iâm hoping will come soon are:
1 - A decent increase to the range of the general play punt kick.
2 - The AI passing immediately before the tackle (draw and pass) and passing more frequently.
3 - Better, less deep support being run by both the AI and human players.
4 - Sharper, quicker more effective side-steps.
5 - Fatigue working more closely to how it works in other sports titles where you typically need to make subs 2/3 to 3/4 of the way through the game.
Thereâs still a whole lot more the game needs to have fixed and there are still many, many glitches (wild passes flying to no-one then touch), but Iâm hoping weâll see some good improvements over the next month. Weâve really needed a good patch that doesnât take things backwards for some time!
Yep, kicking in most areas has had work done on it. Field goals have had some buffs to them, cause clearly it wasnât working as you would expect. I hope that will go out this week with some other things.
Well thatâs excellent. I hope it manages to go off without a hitch this week. Not just for us, but your team deserves a week with a overall successful patch again.
Iâm a side-cam player and I think we have a unique situation with field goals, itâs very, very hard to read our line. Iâm not sure if thereâs any way we can be helped with that though.
(I just remembered EA Sports in Rugby '08 put a small marker on the ground on the other side of the posts to denote where the kick would land, but in Rugby 2011, there wasnât, it just was a bit easier as though the game had a tiny piece of auto-correct on the balls path. You could still miss though).
@JNT_BA can i ask please is any possible in update to have in the game some new national teams Cook Islands , Russia ,Kosovo ,Hungary ,Ukraine,Unites Arab Emirates,Tunisia
,Ghana,Cuba,St. Lucia,Cayman Islands,Costa Rica,Ecuador and Wallis & Futuna ?
@JNT_BA i hope they worked on the sidestep and 360. Also would be great if the handoff success rate would be less maybe 40 % success rate/ or only allow skilled players to do so. Same for sidesteps i mean i dont know many forwards that can do a sidestep accept maybe 6 7 8 lol but the handoff does need some risk to it as one on ones are a 100% beating the bloke.
I still have a major issue with the way the whole defence line drifts towards to ruck when the ball is in play, sometimes they even leave a huge gap and wait for the opposition to hit the gap, along with still being able to break way too many tackles. There is no team in the world that can consistently break 70%+ of their tackles. If it was playing against a very weak team maybe, big maybe.
Who decided that the best possible player to change to is way down the backline or a player who is nowhere near being able to make an impact on defending the attack?
Why are the players I just told to enter the ruck standing around looking for their grandma in the stands before they finally decide to go into the ruck?
The thing that grinds my bones the most is the pass out of the ruck that goes flying over the sideline, what the hell?
Why can I not yet name my custom tournament? Seeing as how there are still so many tournaments that were never added to the game, I would like to be able to name my tournament âThe Rugby Championshipâ, or âCurrie Cupâ or âWorld Cup, with a completely different formatâ.
When are we going to see national anthems being sung or the haka before a game?
