I think I’ve said this before, but can’t remember, Rugby Union imo is one of the most hardest sports to translate into a video game.
There are an awful lot of game mechanics, various situations, set pieces, you name it which are dynamically changing all the time through a real game.
There’s no way any game developers can perfectly replicate that into a video game. I think BA have done a good job in trying to implement some of these aspects, but have also found it tough going with other areas at the same time.
I don’t see any other developer out there trying to put a Rugby Union game out. I think it’s great news that the likes of @JNT_BA are concentrating on Rugby 25 and not spreading their time across other games.
Look, I’ve voiced my concerns a long with others on here and sometimes that may have come across in a negative way. For that I do apologise.
Is the game in a good place right now? No. Will it be in a good place by years end? I don’t know. Do I want, and hope, it to be in a good place by years end? Yes of course I do.
Do i believe BA will carry on trying to make this a better game? Sure I do. Whether they succeed or not time will only tell. I’m sure they will try their best.
You guys have my support, and if the updates drop to say once a month or longer, at least that gives you time to really get stuck into improving the game. I believe a week is far too short a time to make a noticeable difference.
This is probably why people, including myself, feel that we can’t seem to see any improvement. Anyway I’ve rambled on enough.
Like with Cricket 24, and Tie Break before it, I’m hopeful that Rugby 25 will see better days.
Many thanks ![]()
