I see World Champs face scan being implemented its nice…

But we need updates on the core gameplay if that would be possible.
Can we get more content from different commentators…Make it immersive these 2 commentators to boring and the crowd is to dull

Maybe some team flags waving around in the crowd and some mexican wave Rugby 2022 did that perfect…
This game has so much potentional but after my last comment i were really dissapointed…
But whatever im going to support Big Ant with Rugby 2025 but most important is Rugby Gameplay

Some suggestions for gameplay:

As soon as possible there has to be pod formations implemented and a way to put the flyhalf/open play kicker in the pocket and basically more forward phase play. They had them in rugby 22 and it really made the game a lot more interesting tactically than the Rugby Challenge series or Rugby 08. Please bring them in to this game because at the moment there just isn’t enough structure and there needs to be an incentive to build the phases. A lot of complaints are from people who are trying to play an offloadathon Fiji ball.

Set plays could be cool but in real life teams only use them off line outs and scrums. In Rugby 22 for some reason you could only use set plays off rucks but not off scrums or line outs which was illogical.

Running lines like Rugby League 4 which someone mentioned before would be cool but that might require some heavy work and not sure it’s a realistic option for this game, we’ve never seen running lines outside of set plays in rugby union games unfortunately.

The game is unplayable and the AI is playing amateur level rugby league with one up runners from the tackle.

I said in the first EA this was a poor rugby league game and it still is now!

I have to ask if the gameplay specialist programmers have actually done any research and played UNION games? Like ea rugby 06/08 or even the rugby challenge games.

World Cup 95 on the mega drive is more fun with better passing, that is a damning indictment of how bad a job Big Ant have done on this game.

People have been asking for a kicker in the pocket since EA1 :rofl::rofl:. It’s amazing how it’s still not in the game

Every single rugby game has had terrible AI. Rugby challenge would just spam offload and wide passes, there was no AI in rugby 08 and you could rack up 140 + points on elite level blindfolded, Rugby 22 was bad too.That’s not some groundbreaking point.

It’s not all that different to the other games. Rugby 06/08 and rugby challenge weren’t very like rugby union either, that’s just pure hyperbole and rose tinted glasses. They’ve all been bad and this was one is the same except it has slightly better licencing and presenation.

I still play those games…… they are much much better games. That isn’t rose tinted specs, it is FACTS.

Rugby challenge offloads could be fixed with sliders to make them less likely to happen.

Everything wrong with this game is broken at the codebase level…… that is unforgivable after over seven months of EA and nice guidance from the community.

None of the earlier games perfect, never claimed they were in y post. Even FIFA now EAFC has issues/faults.

But the games I mentioned are considerably better rugby UNION games than this weak and poorly made league game that is dressed up and presented in a poor union game gameplay and mechanics that was ordered off Temu……

Just on career mode, pls adjust the transfers. I hate to see in my first 2 seasons Marcus Smith for example leaving harlequins to join the stormers in South Africa. Just wouldn’t happen irl because of the England selection rules. We need a more realistic factor to transfers on career mode.

Also, I was doing a test career on the game and got the New Zealand job offer. I’m not sure if I was missing something but I was unable to select a 32 man squad for example and was only allowed to adjust the initial lineup. I’m not sure if this was smthn I was doing wrong or not. If not please make it so we can select one whole team as well as the matchday 23.

Finally, on the academy I would love it if we could change what club players play for and change their ratings too. I think everyone has different perspectives on player ratings and from what I can see, right now you can only change player ratings of those you have created yourself. I’d also like to be able to transfer players in order to keep up to date with real life transfers

Such a disappointment it is a terrible game how has the game play gone worse since rll4 why do they bother with teams and leagues etc all we wanted was a game that we could play half my team are in the rucks getting counter rucked by a single scrum half the commentators are watching a different game no set piece rugby 08 which was 17 years ago had set piece so frustrating to play

All I want for the rucks is the rugby 22 rucks with a few tweaks. One of them would be adding on to the fact you can add more than 3 players which is counter rucks. I know its in rugby 25 but we can add it onto the rugby 22 rucks and for the defensive team, if players are added when the scrumhalf is trying to get the ball, the defensive team is awarded a penalty for attacking the scrumhalf. The jackle feature needs to be transvered across MUST. I also want the ability to DROP A PLAYER INTO THE POCKET FOR A DROP GOAL. I don’t know how this is not in the game but drop goals are almost imposible now. I also want set plays and again rugby 22 has come out on top. The ability to use set plays but not have it completely done for out is perfect. I honestly prefer this rather than a rugby challenge 4 where it does it for you. As the person playing the game you should be having to make the passes in set plays. I don’t want to be negative,I just want what is right for this game.

MAJOR ISSUES:
Offsides:
Since the full release I have probably played 5 games and yet I have recieve about 50 offside pentalies against me, its silly and frustrating to play with this. Like in the picture you can see my team (blues) have the ball yet my 9 (finley christie) has been penalised for offside when he coming to pass the ball along

Scrums:
I have stolen the ball in the scrum which seems to work well, however when I am pressing the buttons as the white line goes into the green it either says late or early on some ocassions, this is not an error as it says early and late when both times have been selected at the same point and it very clear as day in the green.

Additionally, if in one case you have the ball and select early or late you can then never get the ball out even when the ball is at the back of the scrum. I believe if you have possession of the ball you should have some advantage of the scrum even if you press early or late and would be cool if the early or late would factor how much your driven back in the scrum than whether you can get the ball out

Passing:
Through play the passes don’t always go to hand, you can never pop pass to someone close to you or offload. Passing with a player 10-20m away is fine however if they are closer or further the ball is chucked to the ground or off the pitch.

Passing from the ruck has now change were the players run around which changes the options of A,B,X,Y and therefore when making a pass to a player you think its going to it changes to another player

Rucks:
Rucks have been very weird, when they drive me off that fine and the 9 picks the ball up on their team and carries on, however when I push them off it makes it very hard for anyone on my team to steal the ball and instead the player who has made the tackle stands their and steals the ball when he is in an offside position which is nothing I can control

MINOR ISSUES:
Custom Cups:
Max at 8 teams and is very limited to what you can do, however is great that custom teams can now be added

Kickers:
When teams win pentalies it never seems to be the chosen kicker taking the penalty and is normally a forward like the hooker or flanker

BONUS:
Player creation:
Adding more customisation to the players would be great, like having head tape and more tape options, along with tattoo and hair options and different types of boots to choose from

Team Creation:
Logos still seem to appear stretch and would be cool if not but not a priority along with being able to add more logos to the kick would be epic and more kit designs

Stadium Creator:
Adding Logos onto the pitch and post pads would be cool. Along with ability to change colour of post and pitch markings

Rucks are even worse on series x now. The push over animation is kicking in for the attacking team instead of the defending team. Is anyone even checking these patches before they are pushed out?

Does anyone else think its weird you can only add your custom players to your custom team and not any other players such as the international ones or the ones from the licenced comps?

Hi all,
Besides how the gameplay looks like, that everyone covered in depth.
The way to replace the players during the game is not intuitive.
You rather should have something more like what is in FC24, where you have recommended players suggested, and also suggestions in game to confirm.

Because now we are smashing random buttons, because the system has not been explained in detail, in the tips section I posted a theory on what I think is happening in the rucks, first off I think they are still tuning them (Feb 14 patch helped considerably), second, I do think there is a certain button combination that works best given the tackle and how close the supporting rucking players are, so I am hoping there is some skill involved and its not just stats and random. I have noticed that players that ruck better do seem to be getting the turnovers more, so sometimes I try to anticipate turning into a specific player to try to tackle and steal at the ruck, or support the tackling player by manually turning into and binding a strong forward to the ruck for the push over. I think I have seen enough evidence that it may not be random. At least this what I am hoping for, that each situation you have to think, whether to send 1 player into the ruck or whether to send in 3, would be nice to have the option of occasionally smashing up to five players in a heavily even contested ruck. And this is why getting rucks right is so important, it is a game within the game.

I agree but disagree, I mean, these are really bad rules that some unions adhere to protect their “market”, it feels better not to have then implemented, cause if they do there is no point in racking up money if you only can buy a selected few players. I just wanna play it like fifa and build a Toulon out of a Portuguese club :sunglasses:

Update on the hotfixes you pushed out for PC.
No crashing when trying to load the punt tutorial.
Still crashing when I go to the community hub and search all stadiums, scroll to about page 3 or 4 and then it crashes to desktop.

  • Unable to steal a lineout is awful, there is no point in kicking for touch to maybe steal a lineout like in real life rugby but I can steal a scrum which rarely happens.

  • The offside penalty occurring makes no sense and usually the AI get awarded it.

  • AI ruck speed is faster than mine, their players immediately enter the ruck then scrum half arrives and passes the ball where as mine arrives and has to wait for my players to enter the ruck, my scrum half waits a few more seconds this is all while I am pressing the pass button and then my scrumhalf will pass the ball.

There are so many issues with this game it’s overwhelming to even start to list them.

But I’ve just discovered that a lot of the PS Trophies aren’t working either.

I’m starting to wonder what these guys have been doing for over a year because this is so shambolic it’s hard to find the right words.
