Not sure if its the case, but make sure you are not pressing the direction buttons or analog in any direction when pressing O to join. I sometimes do press the should keys, from the side the players are comming in at and they seem to join quicker, this could be my imagination though, but I have not had issues joining rucks or leaving rucks on offense or defense, last May 14 patch on xbox-s. Rucks on xbox-s May 14 patch seem to be fairly accurate, the animations just need to match better, and the quick 1 on 1 tackle, stand and steal before support ruck arrives is missing, something that was supposed to be in the game from day 1 by using the Y button then x, this is missing from the game.

About the kicking, I like the new functionality tbh. The aiming cicle goes back and forth when you press X (ps5) and you have to release the button at the right time to get the maximun distance. At least it requires some skill.
I have played a couple games so far and I like it, but the AI is back at fending/sidestepping succeafully every single time.
It seems like shoulder charges work better now.
But none of the issues raised here for the last few weeks (months already!) havenât been adressed.
- High tackles and therefore yellow or red cards
- Positioning of player when attacking (supporters are way behind the ball carrier after a line break and way too flat when passing out wide, and never taking advantage of the whole pitch)
- It seems imposible to pass the ball after a succesful scrum, only way to keep posession is carrying with the n8.
- Kicks to touch still performed with the left foot.
- Of course no set plays and no signs of it happening in the near future.
- And no gripsocks whatsoever

Thanks for the update. The AIâs performance is better and more difficult, so we can really feel the impact.
Out of 6 matches on very difficult, Iâve lost 5, so thereâs been some improvement. Theyâre making passes, and thatâs good.
Areas to improve:
- AI should play 50/22 kicking, drop shots
- During penalties, we should see the yellow and red cards clearly
- AI should commit fouls: forward, offside, hands in the ruck, etc.
- The raffuts are too cheating
On the other hand, big negative points: the rules of rugby must be applied; there are inconsistencies, be careful of that.
working on the tutorial again I find it poorly done and not easy to understand
It would be good if we could use the custom teams created by the community.
sort by rating, be able to modify the teams created by the players, create championships, be able to add or remove teams (modify the championships to your liking)
Also the most bizarre thing has happened to me now. 21-21 on the scoreboard, an opposition player has made a like break and before the full back could tackle him has slotted a drop goal while running at full speed. This was on the 78th minute son won them the game.
It worked but not very likely to happen in real life

Offside even if it wasnât on the patch notes seems to work as it should. (Now if you start running before the ruck has finished and you tackle the ball carrier, the referee will call offside)

Someone just commented on my video that they didint believe the kicking was broken, but more a case that the kicking mechanics have shifted, and that as you apply kicking power to gain range, the power bar below the players feet fills up, and once it reaches full, it then begins to decrease, basically as a punishment for you holding kick down for too long, and instead makes the player time their kick better.
So ive just gone and tested it with a high rated team like France. and that does indeed feel exactly how it works. You can time the power bar at full and perform a kick like normal, but holding it down longer then damages your kick.
On paper an interesting concept, but in application I dont see it working at all. Time on the ball leading to a kick is limited any so the idea you could consistantly gauge how long you have to make the kick at full power before the range decreases vs a tackler coming in, is a lot of information to keep track of at one time.
The fact you need to keep an eye on the power guage means you basically need to stare at your own players feet rather than looking at where you are aiming the kick.
The power bar is tied to kicking stats in some way, meaning the window between building power and power shooting down is WAY harder on lower rated teams, meaning its another disadvantage with lower rated teams as kicking is impacted so much more than higher rated teams, and making what is already tough matches (with higher rated AI by default winning linouts, scrums and majority of rucks) even harder because now you lose the ability to kick at range.
Also visually looks very weird to have top tier international fly halves kick the ball 2m, when they are sat in the pocket with no pressure, because you were trying to position a kick and held down power too long so it recuced the distance all the way back down.
I really hope its a case kicking has just broken, and this isnt the new direction kicking is going, because I can see very little purpose in it, and detracts from the realism of the game for me. And with it being so much harder to gauge, it puts more emphasis on just not kicking.
You may be right, and to be fair it did only happen once. What are your thoughts on the underpowered conversions? A deliberate mechanic to punish poor timing or an occasional bug? I feel like I always do the same thing with the same timing, yet sometimes the ball travels a couple of meters even though Iâve powered the gauge to 75 - 100%.
Alot more work to do but atleast AI are putting attacks together a very small bit of hope. But very small hopefully start of bigger changes
If open kicking is not broken and they have made a change to the way you kick then my question would be WHY?
Surely that is the last thing to look at. How about fix the real issues first.

AI a bit better but still no game-plan stucture ! I think i have to start spaming this page with various AI game-plan structures since that can be different implemented by team to team depending wich their threats are!

Can you just change the rucks back to 3 players? We dont want a scrum at every ruck and then have no players to pass to
You can do 5 players if you add realistic rucking animations, with maximum 3 players at a time, so when 1 or 2 players get taken out of the ruck or go off their feet and cannot contest anymore, you can add 2 more players if required
