BUmp offs work fine for me. Agree with most of this.
RE: * tackling animation seems like 2 tacklers animation is not existing anymore way too much one on one tackles
That does exist, you will see you have to use Y, that is latch on tackle. If for example AI is already making the tackle, and you Y it’lll latch on. I see that often.
One is a Kick off, trajectory deep enough into the 22 area,
Options to Bind/Leave and Constest the rucks, Button Change Needed as “X on Ps5 and A on Xbox changes players”
Other one is how realistic the ruck animations are, and not just coming in and when the ball is out the players just stand up. Like one said, its not Pin Bowling, it looks ridiculous.
bumps offs in Rugby 25 does not look realistic like Rugby Union Bumps off…It’s more like Rugby league bumps off animation…i agree they must decode that animation…For example defender going low on the legs or waist and getting bumped off by attacking player…and this is where the tackling mechanics needs a change on Normal Tackles and Heavy Tackles
So when people are talking about bump offs, they are probably talking about pushing R/S up? Not clicking it down? Because the one that is from their league games is the shoulder charge skill move, not the bump off. According to the control layout anyway. Only looks like a shoulder tbf. Like you say, in a bump off the ball carrier gets much lower.
They had one animation in there early on in EA but it has just disappeared lol.
Why spend the limited time you have adding a dive tackle when you can’t even convert tries due to it just rolling off the tee, and every try is automatically given held up if tackled whilst scoring
Only stat that seems to mean anything is speed, doesn’t mean anything if you have people who are good in the scrum or breakdown, it’s just 7’s gameplay
Loaded up the pc earlier to play something else latest r25 update downloaded and ithought whats the worst that can happen.
Opposition prop nailed a 50/22 after about 5 minutes.
Opposition then had a try wrongly disallowed when tackled over the tryline.
Ref called for a scrum, the camera panned to show all 30 players stood on the same spot at halfway line where they were glitching out.
I won the scrum against the head, after picking up with number 8 to get some yards i wanted to execute a clearing kick. Unfortunately my scrum half threw a bullet pass directly backwards and into the crowd
Promptly turned rugby 25 off.
Its actually impressive just how bad a job BA have done developing this game.
If Nacon had any decency theyd pull its off the stores and offer refunds to those that want them
Let’s pile this one up with hearts.
2 things that really need to be changed immediately and will greatly change the game play.
User punting with skilled kicker needs to go like 30% further, does not have to be super accurate but difenitely needs more distance, if not no reason to punt the ball away, particularly if the opponent AI will return the punt with a 50/22 90% of the time, which leads me to number 2.
Tone down AI expertise in punting 50/22’s
Just change those 2 things will greatly enhance the game.
I’ve had many similar moments that have led me to do the same, most recently the ref calling “no advantage, scrum here” and everyone playing on regardless.
Is there any news about a major update that will improve several game mechanics? It’s appreciated that the game gets a little better every Wednesday, but it’s about time we had a proper product. I’m not asking for the best rugby video game ever, I just want a fun game.
Been away from this forum a few days, not sure what some of this chat is, is it severe confusion or poor trolling. Im ignoring regardless.
Had a few games today and actually had some fun with it. Some tightly contested games.
Most of my gripes have been pointed out by others. So i wont delve too deep.
Player stats need to play a bigger roll in my opinion. Only players with high kicking attributes should be able to preform 50/22s. I also think with bumps/fends/sidesteps, players should have increased success if their attributes suggest as much. You could add another level to this and have higher/lower success depending on the oposition players attributes, Could help punish mismatches. I also think with this you could add knockons/dropped balls if you attempt a move against the wrong player. For example, wingers side stepping front rowers should be easy, However a winger trying to bump a front rower should be punished with a dominant hit, or injury, or knockon.
I mentioned back in ea1 about momentum, and how good it was in rwc2011. Making meters, whether attack or defence increases momentum, increases chance of winning rucks in turn increases opposition chance of conceding penalties. 50/22s could give huge boosts to momentum. This leading to kicking when momentum is against you.
