Checking if anyone has been able to get it to run on SteamDeck with the new patch? Hitting the play button gets me to the Steam loading circle, then a black screen and then crashes back to big picture mode after 5-10 seconds. (Currently verifying integrity of files just in case it is that).
Edit: Hmm, still the same thing after all files validated.
Whatās everyoneās verdict after the patch (on the steam version anyways?)
Hi Team ,
I am on PS5 and once I click X button to start from main menu signing in I am automatically taken to a casual match mode.
There is no āBack Buttonā to exit this mode from controller select screen and I also canāt exit the casual match
Update. I think I have this issue as the game has not finished downloading.

Besides the teams and competitions, I do not see any gameplay upgrade on PC. No players names, 2 crashes out of 2 games after less than 3 minutes. Ratings are off on many players, at least in Stade Toulousain. I hope for a patch but for now Iām not impressed at all.

Congrats on the release. Playing on PC and have to say Iām pleased at the direction of this title. The tackling feels more predictable and less ālooseā than previous iterations on this engine and the game speed and movement seems to be going in the right direction.
I also have to say I really appreciate how above and beyond the team has gone with official licenses. I donāt think weāve ever had a rugby title with this many licenses and it goes a long way.
Hopefully weāll continue to see refinements in gameplay. It would be nice to see some kind of implementation of teammates binding to the ball carrier to help drive the ball carrier forward during open play.
Iād also like to see dirt/mud accumulate on players over the course of the match.
Lastly, more weather options like cold weather to really make those Six Nations and New Zealand winter matches feel right.

I think it hasnāt finished downloading. I just updated my post with an additional screenshot. This might be the reason
Does anyone know when the transfer window opens in Career Mode. I tried searching for players but canāt seem to find any using the search function.
So many offsides from the opposition. Also when Iām awarded a penalty and kick for touch its not lettting me turn my player to kick the ball to the touch line that i am 5 meters away from. Its making me kick to the far side of the pitch and it cant even reach the sideline!
You need the update to update the patch to patch the gameplay

Initial thoughts are i am quite happy. Graphically it looks stunning and the gameplay has again been tweaked since EA7. Set plays would be a really nice addition if further patches are coming, and of course the same applies to rucks and lineouts, whcih we have discussed ad infinitum.
One bug i have noticed is that the goal kicker for the AI is not taking penalty kicks. For instance Calen Doris took a penalty kick for Ireland againt me and Luke Cowan dickie took my penalty.
Also, is there anyway we can edit the national teams or are we stuck with the rosters? Its a bit annoying not being able to swap in Jamie George when he now playing for England again.
Some of the player ratings are dubious as well. I understand that this can be a bit subjective but how is Freddy Stewart faster that Caden Murley haha?
Overall big thank you to the team for bringing us a really good rugby game. Hopefully they can continue with support to keep the title going.
Edit: In addition to the urgent squad / roster issues above further issues:
- I sent a kick down field and touched down for a try, the game awarded the opposition an in-goal drop out.
- The offisde penalty calls needs to be reviewed ASAP. i am getting randomly pinged for being offside on my own ball.
- Passing to the winger is STILL being flung out into touch.
- The options available for passing (when holding the pass button) seem to have reduced and are taking longer to appear.
- The AI just seems to have lost the ability to pass and every play is a one up hit runner, when they were previously flinging it about like basketball. This needs urgent attention.

Surely weāll be able to edit all of the rosters eventually? It doesnāt bode well for longevity of the game if we canāt reflect real world changes!

In career mode do you get offeres to coach different clubs?
Crossplay Online matches doesnt seem to work? Even the Custom Online Match Creation, does not show any created matches, although myself and other players created matches. @MattW can you confirm if the team is aware of this?

I just bought the full game on the Playstation store, but I can only play an exhibition with France against Australia. It skips to this option.
When will I be able to play the full game?

Is it fully downloaded? Sounds like youre playing whilst its still installing
Playing on career mode as harlequins
First game against sale sharks this is some of the AIās decisions
Prop bevan rodd takes the first penalty
Halfback takes the second
Other prop takes the third,
Theyāre down by 5 points, clock goes into the red and they kick the ball out and lose the match
Bottom right corner the player names are all Ā« PROP RIGHT Ā» etc etc, except for Joe Marler lol his name shows up lol
Also when changing my squad before a match on career mode it doesnāt change when I go into the match. Second match against Newcastle so I tried to rest the big name players and they all just started anyway lol
Release day is obviously gonna have its teething errors
Also would be nice if scrolling up when at the top of the team sheet would send you all the way to the bottom if that makes sense,
And some of the position acronyms feel a bit strange, LP, RP, LL, RL; I feel like the props should be THP and LHP and also second row sides arenāt that individualised they could just be SR or something
Also just put an unreal grubber through and the game crashed as soon as my runner picked it up and seems to be a lot of random offside penalties around ruck time both for and against the AI
