I think it has more to do with difficulty programming it than unkowledge of the game.
For example, drop kicks have 50m range, and very few players in world rugby can score from that far.
In the game it is more likely to get a 50-22 drop kicking the ball rather than punting it. A joke.
Yeah and for placed kicks / conversions, it seems easy to kick from 60-70 meters with good kickers. So it feels weird that punting hasnât the same power and length
Yeah it still just feels like player skills and specifically kick power donât have a big enough impact on what is happening on the pitch. There should be a noticeable difference between a player with 20 kicking power and one with 80 kicking power

well i do hope that my support runner is not 5 meters behind me 90% of the time. Been asking for that since release.
My wishlist will be:
Increase Kicking Distance
When putting player in pocket the player dont run forward
Better support runners
Scrum - hopefully this is finally fixed
Lineouts - its very dull at the moment.
Rucks - being worked on
AI - have better decision making, attack and defense
Set Plays - ability to have some really cool setplays i.e rugby 2008..

@Plaasvark first game in and scored off this. Would still want the winger a bit further forward on the shoulder but did feel like an improvement
@JNT_BA can you please check to why Ai kicks the ball out when they 5 points behind. On full time. Also still no visuals when receiving a card?
@JNT_BA think this definitely qualifies for a hotfix on PS5. I canât see the green part to know when to press the buttons as the UI is in the way.
Also when playing against the AI great that we can see their timing but we donât need the button input guide in the corner. Itâs very distracting and clutters the screen
N.B. 1: Mauls also seem broken. Neither I or the AI can form them. If I press the circle button my player just kicks the ball. The AI just get tackled or pass the pass
N.B. 2: AI finally decided to kick for territory which was good to see however all the AI players in the ruck standing in front of him then ran up and tackled my fullback. They are all offside!!!

Improved Stability ![]()

The ref indicated a yellow card for a collapsed scrum which became a red. I see three problems:
- I didnât have a yellow card before on this game with Flament or Alldritt or any other player
- Why would it be Flament or Alldritt to be penalised on the scrum?
- I still have 15 players on the field after this


It should be scrum for France. Come on the rules !

Why on earth Penaud didnât pass the ball to Alldritt ! That would have been a try #Trauma
Cut scenes for injuries wonât drag out a game as long as you allow to press the X button (Playstation) to skip but I enjoy the cut scenes, it adds to the overall experience of the gameplay. But thatâs just me.
