realistic rucking animations, followed by logical sequencing of mechanics (probably a pipe dream)
improved scrums and lineouts, though it can stay the way it is of we get the other stuff done. The new scrums seem even worse
I have no hope for this game anymore though, as we will probably have R27 come out sometime soon and hopefully that wont be a failure. All the time spent creating in this game will be for nothing.
Dont know why more resources arent being deployed for this game, at least a year ago already. Its clear that there are only 3 people working on it. Nothing new has been added from the design guys for a year. So many small things that can be added/fixed that involve different teams.
Doubt that I will even be able to finish my custom comps, because the AI just arent getting worked on, and I dont want the playoffs to be such snooze fests.
Anyway, lets see what they come up with, but Im not playing at the moment
I am having problems unlocking the âWorld Tourâ achievement. I have been taking a note of every international tier team i have completed a game against which adds up to more the 25 required to the unlock the achievement. Any help on how to unlock this or a fix to correct it would be much appreciated
I will not be buying Rugby 27 (if it ever gets made) on day 1. Same goes for the new cricket game.
BA has now got a very bad reputation of releasing unfinished and buggy games. Started after Nacon bought them. More about quantity than quality now.
And I do hope they finish rugby 25 and fix it first before even thinking about rugby 27. I paid money for a game that just donât work and missing features that was promised.
Yeah the forward passes seem to appear very rarely.
I get what you mean about the scrums but I actually think itâs currently a bug. I donât think the button presses are registering every time they are pressed. Especially noticed it on the engage. @JNT_BA can you please look into it?
The three ânewâ ones from RWC 2025 can be found under the new Rest of World group in Play Now. Brighton is the Falmer Stadium in-game due to sponsorship rules, Sunderland (which had the England v USA opener) and York (pool stage venue) are there too - Exeter, Salford, Northampton, Bristol and Twickenham are all still in their usual places.
Only this morning, I was thinking to myself that in spite of the disappointment of last weekâs patch adding next to nothing and taking away the maul, at least the game seemed to be more stable. Then, in the same match, I had a 50-yard backward diagonal pass into touch, followed by a bug Iâd never seen before whereby I held up a try and clicked X to proceed to a drop out under the posts, only to be greeted with a weird cut scene in which the camera zoomed in and out for a bit before the drop out was replaced by an attacking scrum from which I conceded the winning try. Yet another kick in the teeth for the user.
I switched to the close broadcast cam today, and to my suprise I had a good bit of fun. I remade the Leinster vs Munster match yesterday, and even though I lost I still enjoyed it. I had a few scrums and they went fine, didnât come across a single issue. Of course I would like mauls to be added back in and there are a lot of things still to be fixed, for example, please improve support runners, they are way too deep. But, I enjoyed myself today. Thatâs an improvement over the last few weeks. Keep it up @JNT_BA and the team
Yes, itâs true that this iteration of the game is the most fun itâs been, at least since full release (Iâm on PS5, so canât comment on the early access version). But why have mauls just disappeared without any warning or explanation? Sure, they werenât very good, but at least they were there. Even the tutorial which allowed you to practice lineout mauls doesnât work properly any more.
Hi JNT, could you let us know why there are no longer any mauls in the game? Is it part of a restructuring plan? If not, will the issue be fixed before the next three-weekly patch? Thank you.
Just to be clear. Iâve never said I will not buy another BA game. I will never buy one on release day. Iâll wait to see how the reviews are before buying.
I bought the PC early access version and the PS5 version release day. And the only reason why I bought the PS5 version release day is because Ross told us to wait for day 1 release patch for improvements. And guess what Iâm still waiting for those improvements
But itâs very frustrating. There seem to be no clear roadmap and communication use to be good but now itâs just naff. I mean at least tell us you going to remove the maul.
I donât think they actually take feedback onboard.
We had lines update and yet I canât see any difference. We asked and begged for better AI and we get a broadcast camera. Yes I asked for that too but gameplay should be priority one. Everything else should be second in my opinion.
We got told patches will be better after 3 week cycle yet that is not true either. Now we will wait another 3 weeks for a maul to be added back which might work. And maybe we can pass from a scrum.
Yep. I really wanted to believe that they would turn this round, as they have with other games of theirs Iâve bought, but three weeks for a broken scrum and no mauls?
The fact they cannot even give us the courtesy of a roadmap, depsite promising one when the game was released, shows that it really is an afterthought at this point. I would like to think that they started out with good intentions, but realised that for whatever reason the game just was not there, so i would imagine they are cutting their losses and (hopefully) looking to implement a better version with Rugby 27
Scrums are not broken in all testing they are working as intended across all devices. Even ran all the diagnostics again today after the weekend feedback. We also identified the maul issue. But if you expect it in three weeks guess I dont have to get a fix out. (Yes this is not serious a hotfix will go out as soon as it can)
