I don’t understand how the right stick moves aren’t linked to a players attributes. Why is everyone Sonny Bill?

@hurricanes I think it is to a degree. The issue I think is how they work out the player ratings especially with top teams. For a prop to be 85 rated skills like evasion (side step) and speed have to be in the high 70s/low 80s, which is just unrealistic and means players don’t behave like the position they play

I made two teams with custom players and realistic skills and noticed a clear decrease in fends, broken tackles and offloads

Small detail and I don’t know if it has already been mentioned:

When the AI is doing a box kick, there is always a small “zoom in/out” of the camera, so we know like 1-2 sec before the kick that the AI will do this.

In short politics and most likely money. Sad to see, maybe Argentina started winning to many of the games:) Same thing happened when the Jaguares interred Super Rugby, there is money inolved but definitely some politics as well. Sorry for off topics, I think first time.

Argentina have been a great addition to the tournament and are great to watch!. It makes no sense to reduce their role.

@JNT_BA can i ask that when a player is offside that the circle under the player flashes and if he returns on side it stops flashing please?

There’s a pretty good indicator they could copy and paste from RLL26 to show that a player is offside.

Side note, I reinstalled the game today because I thought JNT meant that the auto fend was changed and I had just missed it. I forgot to stop it after you clarified it was a version he had and not us.

So when I went to play league, R25 was there. I decided to try the auto fend. Got 2 tries in 10 minutes V Argentina on hardest, the game is just still far too easy (Getting used to the controls again).


93% posession to 7% is crazy :sweat_smile: ABs vs Arg, Eden Park, 5 minute halves on hardest, Steam. The AI invincibility bug is back. It happened after I grubber kicked, one of their players leant down and looked to touch it but then the ball continued on and was picked up by another player who was then invincible and went on to score.

Edit: Territory and possession evened out as for like half of a half Argentina weren’t pants, I mean they weren’t good either, but they held the ball. 1/6 kicking :skull: and an invincibility AI try made it look much closer than it was, no personal offence but that new kicking mechanism is just the worst in its current form.

I hate to keep referring to RL26. But the goal kicking in that game, the way the offloads and fends etc are balanced are spot on almost. I won’t say copy and paste, but a bit of knowledge sharing on the effective code would make sense. See what they do, make it yourself in R25 aiming for the same result.

I think I may enjoy it more if there was a broadcast camera. After playing it in that other game it is so hard going back to that end on camera and side camera just isn’t the same.

Obviously good if those get nerfed, but do not implement until you have improved the AI attack and tactical kicking game. Implement those at the same time, otherwise AI will be useless. They already have a hard time getting past other AI defense without kicks and running tactics

Edit - Also adding more penalty chances, so AI can have more 3-point scoring opportunities, or more opportunity to kick up field for territorial gains. I know mechanics need major overhauls and all, but so does AI, and I would work on AI first, as it will have a more immediate impact on the fun of the game, while you work on broken mechanics.

I assume that “nerfing them” would actually mean “adjusting its effectiveness based on both the ball carrier and tackler abilities, like strength, tackling skill and evasion”.
Please start using some kind of logic in what you do. Shortcuts haven’t worked so far.

@ViCe_ZA yeah completely agree. This is just as important as balancing the fending, offload and break tackles. Would hate to go back to the AI attack of early access where they didn’t pass or kick and just did one up runners into contact that lost them ground

If BIGANT hasn’t figured these out already for themselves that is the glaringly obviously why the game is still unplayable. Basic flaws since yrs ago. How they can look at themselves in the mirror after releasing this game and charging full price when it’s still no where near completion is hilarious. No standards.

Yes agreed, aside from the rucking, if all other aspects of offense moves would be copy and paste from RL26 , it would not be a bad thing. Offensive skill moves and offloads working pretty darn good in RL26.

I think you made your point, you hate the game and deinstalled it. Would it be too much to ask to give the people who actually enjoy the game a break ? Even with its flaws, I still enjoy playing the game and look forward for a better version in the end. But coming here and reading constant whining about people who actually don’t play it is just a pain.
